A turbo 2S sled is going to be hard to be consistent, performance wise, unless it’s ridden in perfect snow and weather conditions. Even then, Polaris will error on the side of warranty and there’s going to be people who will be pissed when it keeps pulling timing dumping off boost and adding fuel to save itself.

I always said that a 2S low elevation turbo would never work great but if it was attempted, you’d need some pretty serious engine management. I think Polaris has the engine management part onboard now so they figured fuck it, give the masses what they are asking for.

I will be completely honest with you though, I’m over the fact that the more names they give a sled, the higher end it is in their spectrum. Indy VR1 Patriot Boost. RMK Kahos Slash Patriot Boost. It’s word salad.

This is why Gym ordered a Khaos Slash 9R.  Gym is a simpleton.  Gym doesn't want to carry around a thesaurus to identify other snowmobiles.  Gym won't extirpate roost.  Gym will spray roost.

Gym would prefer not to get dragged into this mess.  Gym would appreciate you not tagging him.  Gym will use the ignore feature.

  3. Gym's friend Rupert has an SRX with a silly gauge.  Gym knows the SRX is fast but Gym suspects there will be a new king of the lake.  Gym only likes racing for 330 feet.  Gym will wheelie and spray roost for 329 feet and fist pump the air with his 9R next winter.  Gym feels bad for Yamaha.

Smaller bore sleds have never been more fuel efficient than their bigger brothers.  It’s a myth made up by people that ride them slow.

Gym doesn't care about fuel economy.  Gym loves the smell of premium fuel and Amsoil.  Gym rarely goes over fifty miles per hour.  Gym likes to stop frequently and pin the throttle.  Gym giggles when he rides wheelies and sprays roost.

  5. Gym doesn't like summer.  Gym prefers winter.  Gym has a hobby to keep him occupied while he waits for winter.  Gym plans to build a life-sized matchstick snowmobile this summer.  Gym sniffs a lot of glue.

Let's just say I know a lot of places in the UP to bury a body from east to west.  ;)

    @SayatodaU.P.eh? Probably does as well.

Stick to the gps and soy bean field riding dummy, men are talking here.

Gym is curious about burying bodies.  Gym has this one neighbor.  Gym was seen buying a shovel and tarp recently.

  7. Gym plots his daily roost spraying course every weekend on his 7S right from his phone. Gym never gets lost while riding wheelies and spraying roost because of his 7S. Gym appreciates that his 7S is integrated into the sled right from the factory and is very versatile.  Gym's friend Pat doesn't have a 7S.  Pat rides another brand that doesn't offer a factory gauge that is so useful.  Pat is brand loyal.  Gym takes pity on Pat.

    Yup.

Are they are still worried about getting the parts required to do that, or are they saving all their supplier capacity so they can build enough new chassis for 24?

No incentives coming, other than a 2 year warranty for spring orders.

    Happy Easter!!

Gym doesn't understand what's wrong with this brand.  Gym orders his sleds just how he wants them.  Gym doesn't mind paying for new technology.

Gym ate all his children's Easter Candy after they went to bed last night.  Gym had the munchies.

So to summarize, Textron's "Arctic Cat":

    -Fails to introduce new product

-continues to hock aged product at ever increasing prices

-fails to deliver aged product on time despite a near total lack of innovation

-continues to alienate dealers and athletes alike

-repeatedly disregards buyer/rider experience in favor of the bottom line

    -continuously outmatched in marketing impact

    -the list goes on....

It's amazing actually, I never thought I'd have disdain for a company of this magnitude outside of legitimate atrocities to human life. For me at least, I'm not a Cat guy anymore.

Gym fails to grasp how anyone can be supportive of a company like this.  Gym will stick with his brand.

    12 hours ago, Deephaven said:

Then they REALLY suck at their reason for being in business.  The rest of the market has sold their units for next year, they haven't even delivered this year and took a wildly reduced number of orders.  If they truly want to make money they suck as bad as the bimbo that read off the ipad at Haydays.

Gym senses things aren't going well.  Gym likes math.  Gym wouldn't want to do the math for this company.

Yes, that one is funny as hell.  I cannot imagine in any universe where I feel compelled to shell out $15-20K and then have to check that huge list of known factory fuck ups.  Even better is how the brand diehards will defend the manufacturer responsible for the shitty quality.

Gym trusts his dealer.  Gym's sled is at the dealer whenever Gym isn't riding it.

On the bold .... no kidding!  I can't believe the number of people I've seen online who've had bearing issues with so few miles.  It's like ... WTF?!?  With the snowmobile price increases from 2022 to 2023, a person would think (or hope!) the bean counters can find a bearing supplier that can produce a bearing that'll last a few seasons.

Gym doesn't believe this nonsense.  Gym has never had a bearing issue.  Gym feels it's the owner's fault.

1.) Decades of poor leadership unable to see the need to diversify when others clearly saw it being necessary.

2.) A board of directors that is, and was, just plain clearly unable to hire the right leaders.  This ineptness is on a level that is just astounding.

3.) Textron clearly not doing what they said they were going to do.

Gym thinks this guy knows his stuff.  Gym is getting up to speed here.

in a nutshell, I can't ever recall a time where the Cat faithful have ever been so negative about their brand - it's not just a few of us here, it's on HCS, FB and even ArcticInsider - the most positive pro-Cat platform ever.  when John Sandberg walked away, that should have been the biggest tell of them all.

Gym thinks you should contemplate buying another brand.
