    Over reaction big time.

A player tested positive for it before the OKC/Utah Jazz game tonight.  Rudy Gobert is a fucking IDIOT.  He walked out of his interview with the media on monday touching every microphone on the way out saying he wouldn't get it, then he tests positive for it tonight. Fucking moron.

Gps gauge is awesome, I use it all the time. And I can waypoint specific places like gas stations, dealerships, good restaurants/bars, hotels, etc...

hell yah. I liked the old digital gauge just fine on my xcr too.  Nothing wrong with it. the new gauges are slick though.

To be honest, I watch temp and rpm.

Same.  I like the old style doo gauge.  Temp and RPM in the digital readout and i just use the analog tach for speed if I need it.  I never care about speed.

I always thought the kybs were pretty good. I wouldn't upgrade from those.

You really have to go right to the XRS to get good trail shocks.  the X package is not what it used to be and has become so watered down.  Hell, the newest 2021 XRS doesnt even have rebound adjustment anymore on the front shocks! Pathetic. Im glad mine has both, rebound adjustments have really allowed me to get the handling dialed in.

How good are WE Force shocks...obviously a step down from WE Velocities.

My needles in my 2017 xcr were good.  Not velocity good but id suspect they are better then the force shocks are.

I’ve ridden goat paths dude. There are plenty in the UP and the North Shore of MN where Derpski rides is all goat paths. Wisconsin has a ton of narrow windy goat paths too.

Its only fun if they are smooth. I fucking loath slow trails that are whooped. I’d rather not ride at all

I like both. A change in terrain is something I look forward to. In WI and MN you have such a wide variety of trails, and if theyre bombed out I love standing up and hammering them.  Its why I buy the best sled the manu offers at the time with the most factory bracing they offer.  Door closers and old couch style sleds don't do it for me.  Even if my KYB pros are average shocks they do damn well in shit trails when im hitting one and skipping 2-3.  I'll be completely honest with you, i dont notice a difference between prestons X with EXITs and mine with pro 36s.  I do however notice a big difference in the rear with Pro 40s and his with standard X door closers.

Butthurt?  yeah ok.  Bold is a laughable statement.  Like you can quantify and compare such a thing.  Have your opinions all you want. Just quit acting like they're facts.  For that matter, Cat has had the best front ends for years.

I find that the cat and poo front ends were very comparable on trail sleds.  Brians RR and my XCR share far more similarities handling wise then my XRS does.  I love ski doo and poo for different reasons. Theyre both great sleds, and the new cats are nice too.  opinions are like assholes, they say.... :bc:

Ben rides hard. He’s not a guy that you have to wait for at intersections unless his sled started on fire, sunk, or hit a tree

I've had a 16 SKS, 17 SB Assault, a 19 Renegade turbo and now a 20 Back Country.  And I'd disagree.  R motion is still the rear suspension standard, and my turbo cornered flatter and rode better than  revalved than my Assault did with revalved suspension.  Front ends flip a coin, depends on set up and shock package.  To hear you guys talk the AXYS chassis is a generation better than the Ski doo which is nonsense.   All that said, I like the new guage, handwarmers sound interesting and the headlight are top notch.

your height/weight and what type of riding you do plays a huge roll in determining what fits you best. I like the axys Eros for trail riding, but the G4 isn’t bad at all. The r motion was better then my jungle gym comfort wise, no doubt. In the rough stuff I would say it’s a flip of the coin.

Ski-Doo is stupid for widening their ski-stance instead of fixing their front suspension. The clutching on my my 600r is trash on the top end, it's gotta be 10 degrees fahrenheit or less on a perfectly smooth lake or it refuses to hold peak RPM. Ski-Doo should learn a lesson from Polaris and release a model with a 146" track and a 42" ski-stance. Honestly the best thing Ski-Doo did for 2021 was admit sleds with a 137" track and a narrow ski-stance are stupid and stop making them.

    Do you miss rMotion?

    :bc:

im on an 850 xrs this year, last year I was on an axys xcr 800. :bc:

riding today. The trails are about done here. R motion is really nice.

By using that logic, Polaris just had to release a new chassis and 650 because the Axys was behind.

Whats so bad about your RAS3? My XRS rides great in the front and the nervousness was gone as soon as I made some suspension adjustments and put my slydogs & dual carbides on it. It’s still got some inside ski lift but that makes it fun. :bc:

I got my xrs dialed in :bc:

rebound set to 4 clicks from full soft and compression 3 clicks. I have 7.5 shapers with bergstrom shims and ski savers, stock 4” on the outside. It rails pretty good, although it’s tippy compared to the axys or procross. That’s the nature of the beast with the xrs ride height. I’m ok with it now! I don’t have the TS adjustable bs either, just 5.7s.

I just preferred the axys front personally. :bc:

  12. I liked the procross front suspension more then my G4. Brian’s sled was nice. It reminded me a lot of the axys. Flat cornering and predictable. The plastic designs on it were not comfortable for me, and the 800 lacked the midrange the 850 etec has.

i really want to try the 850 poo. Bad.

  13. 3 minutes ago, Wildboer said:

Why the hell would they do that? Why sacrifice power to cater to a very small portion of the market?

The game was already changed in the 600 class was changed last year :news:

And now doo took a back seat. Being brand biased like some guys on here is fucking stupid. You and half the guys on here will complain about how stupid Polaris is for doing this, or doing that... meanwhile you won’t ever buy or ride one so what’s the point in arguing. I’ve had both sleds in the last two years. The axys is as good as it gets overall imo. The G4 is nothing more then a chassis that’s still trying to play catch-up with poo, and they just had to release a new front suspension because the RAS3 was still so behind the competition in 2017.

Buy a race sled!  It’s like a 660!!!  Or 715!!!  I found another little piston by the recoil but, that was probably for the power steering pump.

Why would you need anything other then a 600 ctec! It’s so reliable and fast!!! Oh, wait.....

Do you just leave your bars at the stock height or do you have weak legs or something?

Canada saved the Netherlands during a war? Also:

    https://www.snowtechmagazine.com/low-octane-fuel-octane-booster-in-e-tecs/

Being able to safely run a new sled on 87 is nothing new, and if you think the Polaris won't drop power on 87 compared to 91 you're fooling yourself.

It’s optimized for 87 meaning that it is going to make its advertised HP on that. It’s possible there will be a 91 map to take advantage of the extra octane, with a setting switch on the gauge.

So the Matryx is narrower than the Axys...about sum it up?

That’s what I’m gathering. Not taller, just narrower. I’m getting the sense that it’s XP to XS like design. A mid cycle refresh of the axys with some suspension/accessory tweaks and the new 650.

  17. Ben is correct... the G4 and axys are night and day different. My xcr cornered flatter then my G4 XRS does, and my xrs handles well, I’ve got it dialed in to my liking.

It took me a full weekend of riding to get used to the G4 and inside ski lift again. The 850 mid range makes up for the G4’s reluctancy to lift the skis, it can do it with ease, but nothing like my xcr would if I wanted it to.

it’s all where you sit on the axys. You have to know how to launch one. I perfected it and never lost from a dig to any sled I raced. It came out of the hole like an animal.

We had plenty in our mountain riding group.  Family, friends and co-workers.  Many still ride but it’s getting less and less.  I hate snow.

Well if you dont like snow then I can see why you dont like snowmobiling

This winter was so great. Probably one of my best riding years in terms of enjoyment that Ive had.  Every ride was 15+ degrees all weekend, tons of different places, great snow all over... I just cant imagine not riding.  Its too much fun to say fuck it, all because of a little snow and money.

Prolly the single best thing I done was quit sledding in 2013.  told myself I would just rent whenever I had the desire......  Maybe a couple times a year I thought.  I have yet to rent a sled and don’t think I ever will.  So much more enjoyable places to be then where it has snow.

You sound like someone who doesn't have a good group to ride with.  I have a group (including bent, joel, analer, ballsack) of 8+ people i could ride with any given weekend.

It must suck to ride by yourself or with your wife all the time, id probably quit too.
