  1. Rip 1 is shit. Rip 2 seems to be a pretty damn good track but I like my cobra also
  2. Damn bro, why you gotta be like that.
  3. I think I’m at 3/8” but I’m gunna double check now because I’m curious.
  4. We lined up again this weekend, hardpack on the lake, ran for about a mile or so, he didn’t catch me, had him beat by about 1-2 sled lengths. He wasn’t happy and insisted my sled was modded
  5. I’m listening..... any update on pricing/dealer?
  6. That’s a 2.86 pitch track on the XC then?
  7. The power points have been great so far for me. The backers are just the cats ass, no pun intended the nut is molded into the backer which can make installs a bit more tedious but the stud support, durability, lightweight, and added traction of the backer profile is really awesome. My buddies call them cheater backers.
  8. I was the 3rd guy in on the potential package deal
  9. Then you should be good, it’s the guys who don’t give a fuck and hammer down over garbage, that’s where you see torn up lugs and stud pull outs.
  10. I’m not I don’t think. I’ll ride it out for another year on the xcr, I like it a lot for the riding I do.
  11. What conditions do you ride in? I’m very anal about throttle input over shit conditions, spinning the track hard over thin rocky/snirty trails will kill them quickly I’d imagine.
  12. You going with a cobra then I assume?
  13. Around 3,200-3400 or so I believe. Haven’t looked closely enough, usually have the speed and temp gauge going on the trails then flip to rpm if we’re running lakes to see what I’m running at WOT
  14. So far my track looks great, as do the studs. 2400 miles on them and I rode some GARBAGE this year, lots of roads unfortunately. So far I’ve been very pleased with the durability considering how soft the fingers are. I topped out at 116 on the gauge, but I’d imagine that’s an honestly 105-107. Not bad for an xcr and I’ve murdered a few etec 800s, one with a rip 1 and one with a rip 2, both studded.
  15. My sled is an animal out of the hole. Very little if any track spin and that’s a 121 800ho. If the new 850 is as torquey as they say you will need at least what I’m running to have consistantly hard launch on virtually any trail surface.
  16. At least 3 studs per bar I’d recommend. I have a 4/2 configuration for a total of 144 on a 2.52 pitch 2 ply cobra.
  17. The xcr would be the competitor to the xrs, But the XC is also right there with it’s needle shock package. The X would be like a pro S equivalent.
  18. Go cobra if you trail ride and stud it up the middle, I’m telling you, you will thank me later.
  19. I really, really like the 1.352 cobra on my xcr, it’s the only trail track I’d get. Way better all around traction then the rip 2 although the lug thickness longevity wise would go to the rip 2. My track looks nearly new still with 2400 miles. i have 144 stud boy power point studs and the tall plastic razor edged backers. Thing comes out of the hole like a raped ape.
  20. Oh yah, but this time a fellow skidoo’r saw him go down and Steve just laughed his ass off
  21. My max speed readout was 116 on my sled yesterday. Probably an honest 107-108?? Thing runs hard for a rush.
  22. Damn that’s so spot on. We raced yesterday on true hardpack for about a mile and he was a full sled length behind me the whole time when I looked back. No doubt my sled is faster from bottom to top. Preston insists that I have “heavy mods” on my sled
