  1. Did he say during the election that things were going to be done differently? We all know they lie thru their teeth, but @ least try to show some humilty! You'd think he was Robert Plant in the early 70s jet setting around. He'd probably find a better looking groupie than Sophie. Note to Princess Sophie, if you're going to wear outfits slit down to your navel, get a boob job! (picture Kiera Knightly)
  2. I wonder how much of the smog over Ontario comes from the Ohio Valley?
  3. http://www.theobserver.ca/2017/01/17/shutdown-of-coal-plants-raised-electricity-rates-failed-to-reduce-pollution-report Thanks to that asshole McGuinty & his sidekicks Wynne & Murray. Talk about pissing away good money. Mind you the Liberals @ both levels are experts in this. It's not, "Canada is Back", but the "Liberals are back!"
  4. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/ethics-watchdog-trudeau-aga-khan-1.3937269 "ironed out" LOL! Wasn't the plan was to have the Shiny Pony visiting Canadians in coffee shops and church basements? Today he spoke (if you want to call it that) @ a town hall in Halifax that was attended by about 3000 people.
  5. http://www.chextv.com/2017/01/14/serious-injuries-after-snowmobile-accident-near-pontypool/ Like odot says, "Nothing good happens after midnight."
  6. I got called a troll in a Faceplant page on Fri' night. The discussion was about attending the "town hall". Most folks said they had better things to do. I said I couldn't believe people would pay to hear him speak. Someone asked innocently asked a question. Reply from an idgit, "Nobody paid to see him" Reply from another idgit tagging my name, "What do you expect from a troll?" Me: "I resemble that statement" Then I posted a link to a CBC article about an NB charity going after him for his 25Gs from a speaking engagement when he was an MP. I added that it must be true if it's on the CBC. The person that asked the initial question, thanked me. I posted another link from the Globe & Mail. No replies from the Libtards. Yes his comment about phasing out the tar sands went over like a lead balloon out west. Just shows you how unprepared he is when he tries to go ff the script. They still have strong memories of PET and Marc Lalonde screwing them over. It will be interesting to see what kind of reception he gets once he's past Kenora.
  7. I asked one of the Monsef's supporters last year if she was doing anything about the possibility of GM closing up shop in Oshawa. The guy said what has that got to do w/ Peterborough. I showed him the employment survey that listed GM as the largest private sector employer in the Peterborough area. That shut the idgit up.
  8. As much as Peterboro likes to promote itself as a great place to live, it's stuck in it's glory days of the 50s. The place is overrun w/ crack/meth heads & lefties/feminists that think Monsef is doing a great job. A childhood friend that lives there now (for work) calls it , "The Village of Peterborough".

  10. Isn't that called leadership? "It's good to be king"
  11. Looks good that the ass clown's tour is going to be rocky. Mind you some of the senior citizens need to be committed. http://www.chextv.com/2017/01/13/trudeau-hosts-town-hall-meeting-in-peterborough/ http://www.chextv.com/2017/01/13/trudeau-visit-creates-a-buzz-in-bewdley/ As I've said about things over the years, "I wouldn't walk across the street to see it".
  12. Why has the Canadian gov't over the years given money to a billionaire's charity when he's lobbied them? Can't he use his own money?
  13. Next Tues' you'd be checking on trappers north of Pickle Lake.
  14. My experience in Quebec is limited. Probably dealt w/ more English speaking folks that Quebecois (we met DooDaDave there) when we were in Amos. In Hearst & Kap' folks switch back & for all the time. Never had any issues. A friend was upset in D'ville years ago when he couldn't read the menu LOL @ him ;-) There have been complaints from Floridians about the behaviour of Quebecers demanding French. Like you say the bilingualism in the US sure isn't going to include French. I wonder how they feel about the Spanish signage in the Lowe's stores over there?

Exactly! I may rant about stuff here & on OC. But you never know who's seeing stuff posted elsewhere. As an old timer told us "young 'uns" years ago, "A closed mouth gathers no feet."
  16. She was thrilled over her "demotion" & now this: http://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/2017/01/12/peterborough-has-a-special-place-in-trudeaus-heart-monsef If the Nicholls Wing of Peterborough's old Civic Hospital was still open, Monsef would be there for a psych evaluation. OMG she's delusional. I see another useless Liberal MP (Peter Adams) is still around. Just a multi term chairwarmer from the Chretien years.

Yes, "we" sure don't present an intelligent image do we? then again some of the comments on the various Ptbo media Faceplant pages were pretty callous even by my standards. What if the family sees shit like that?
  18. And then criticize Anglos that struggle w/ French. Everything is a 1 way street w/ them.
  19. The CBC & the rest of the media make a big deal about some of the contenders for the CPC leadership having limited or no French. Well I don't know about you but what Dion & Chretien speak sure isn't English. About as clear as the Chinglish assembly instructions you get from Princess Auto stuff.
  20. What was powering the helicopter she was flying around in? Fairy dust? Bio-diesel?
  21. http://www.mykawartha.com/news-story/7061535-pmo-denies-trudeau-tour-used-for-data-mining/ Not sure what part of the Evinrude Centre is being used, but it's a hockey arena, not a cozy Legion basement or coffee shop.
  22. FFS! LOL What were you looking up when you found that? Snowballing?
  23. Oh there will be a couple of grinning folks w/ turbans, a few Asians, a girl in a wheelchair, a family of Syrian refugees... None of which I've ever seen when I've been there for lunch or dinner.
