  1. ugly race car
  2. I think they were in the low 200's. My 305 in the SS with the Quadrobog carb was 180. My boss at the time ordered a stripped IROC with a 5 speed and it was definitely faster than my SS. He was also an old tuner that knew how to hop things up. I can't remember everything he did to it at the time, but he got it down in to the 12's with slicks. I know he bought an aftermarket stick shift. and brodix heads.
  3. I think my SS was 12,900 out the door. I bought it in '88 as a leftover '87. If my memory is correct the '88 and 87 were the exact same car with no changes. They just wanted one more year for Nascar.
  4. Denny is one of the original Hardcore Sledders. Remember the speedo pics I know the Mustangs were faster, but I was a Chevy guy and didn't care for the looks of the Camaros at the time. OT had an LX back then and used to go to NE Dragway too. OT had the coupe, not the hatchback like yours.
  5. Got it and did what you asked. Thanks Tom Thanks Moto PM me your email if you want me to invoice you. There is a donation button on the home page if you wanted to go that route.
  6. We are getting close to 90% of our server space being used up. When I asked a few months ago if you guys wanted me to start deleting old stuff or upgrade servers the vast majority of you said to upgrade the server. I just did the math and we are already in the red $107. Here's what we need to break even with an upgraded server.... I'll kick in the first $25 to bring the amount needed down to $393. It would be nice to have a couple of advertisers to help cover the costs, but that isn't happening with the shit show that we have here
  7. Thank you very much. It doesn't let me plug in new values because it opened in read only If you get a chance could you plugin these #'s ? tent temp 110 humidity 50% outside temp 90 humidity 65%
  8. Downeast Maine is the place to be in New England when weather like this hits. Mitch used to work for a lady that had a cottage on the coast in Stonington. She let him use it whenever he wanted. A bunch of us went up for long weekend of partying once. It was 15 degrees cooler on the coast than it was 5 miles inland. Beautiful area to boot
  9. Any chance of a sea breeze?
  10. City folks will be heading to the lakes and mountains this weekend.
  11. Muscle cars of the 80's were just cars without the muscle. We had to do everything we could to get them to even move It was embarrassing to loose to a Horizon hatchback turbo.....I've been there too
  12. It was a blast! All I had was my '87 Monte SS, but it was still fun. 14.9 @ 90mph, LOL. 1st thing I would do would be to loosen the bolts on the front side of the catalytic convertor so I could drop it down to bypass it. Eventually I just took it off and uised a crowbar to gut it out, LOL. Denny @45th parallel seems to be having a blast bracket racing at Oxford. I tried it a few times back in the day too
  13. I love the Smokies. Have you done the Blue Ride Parkway yet? 400 miles of beautiful scenery
  14. The guys on the forum are saying that you are better off to vent the heat back in to the room and let the AC cool it. I think it's better to vent the heat outside even though you are going to create negative pressure and pull the equivalent air from outside to replace what you vented.
  15. I'm talking about an enclosed tent with lights inside of a home. The heat from the lighting needs to be vented from the tent. In the winter I vent the it in to the room to take advantage of the heat from the light. (carbon filter removes any odors) During the summer I vent it outside.
  16. I haven't been to an NHRA event at New England Dragway, but had a lot of fun there back in the late 80's on their Wednesday night run what ya brung events
  17. That's the way that it's been for the past 25 years that I've watched F1. Renault was dominating F! when I 1st started watching.
  18. I was reading a thread on a grow forum about venting the heat/air from inside of a grow tent. A guy asked if he would be better off venting the air back in to the room and let the AC cool it, or to vent it outside. My thought is that you would be better off venting the 120° air outside and deal with the 90° air from outside being brought in to replace the 200cfm of air that the vent is exhausting. Most everyone else says to vent it inside and let the AC cool it.
  19. There must be at least a few from here going as whacked out as some of their posts are
  20. Newman used to run some of the modified races at NHMS. I wonder if he will be doing it again this year?
  21. The July race is the 1st one that we gave up our tickets for years ago because it was to fucking hot to sit there and bake in the sun all day. Even the September race could be warm. The Thanksging weekend race after 9/11 was perfect. When they originally built the speedway they made an agreement with the town (it might even have been the neighboring town of Canterbury) that they would not install lights for night racing. I *think* I read something recently about NHMS trying to put in lights. Thing is there used to be a race at the old track that was at that location every Friday or Saturday night.
  22. UNDATED (CNN/Gray News) Everyone knows it's a joke, but the U.S. Air Force isn't laughing. Aliens pose in front of Traditions on Main Street in downtown Roswell, N.M., Thursday, July 3, 2008 during the Roswell UFO Festival. (AP Photo/Roswell Daily Record, Mark Wilson) More than a million Facebook users have signed up for a fake event called "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us," saying they want to storm the Nevada military base on September 20 to "see them aliens." The mysterious Area 51 has been the subject of conspiracy theories for decades. Many people believe the U.S. government stores its secrets about UFOs and aliens at the military site. The event page states the whole notion of storming Area 51 is a bit of a lark. "Hello US government, this is a joke, and I do not actually intend to go ahead with this plan," said a post by Jackson Barnes, who had just laid out an elaborate, but silly scheme for an assault on the base. "I just thought it would be funny and get me some thumbsy uppies on the internet." If the military understands it's all fun and guns, it's not letting on. "[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces," a military spokeswoman told The Washington Post. "The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets." Alien hunters: You've been warned. Air Force: Remember, it's a joke.
  23. You aint seen nothing yet from the weather report I saw this AM. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be very hot and humid in the northeast
  24. You don't find Claire sexy?
