Reinhart cited a law requiring judges to be impartial as reason for recusing. Social post criticizing Trump emerges. The statute that the magistrate cited for his recusal states in part that a judge "shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned" and then describes the various circumstances that could trigger such concerns.
