Our 2017 Escape has it. No problems for us over the past year. Why is it a POS?
sledderj
My 17 has it, so did my 2010. Neither ever gave me any trouble. They are kind of nice actually.

I have it on a 2011 f-150 and 2012 escape.Couldnt get a inspection sticker on the escape yesterday . Cleaned it up some , hoping to have the wife drive it for a week or so and try then. f 150 does the same thing. That one I was smart enough to clear the code and drive it before I went for a sticker. Got ya. I can see where they would trip the check engine light if they didn't seal properly.

I'm hearing the fusions are the worst where the cap is lower to the ground and explorers sit high enough that it dosnt happen at all.

Are you on dirt or gravel all the time? Haven't see that problem come up with any of our fleet, yet. You did remind me I need to go pick up a new gas cap for my wife's Caravan though.
