Of the C3's i had, a 71, 73 big block, 80 L48 and the last year 82 Collector Edtion, my 82 was the first 82 in Canada and was featured at the Toronto auto show.
They did not build any C3's in 1983. The last year for the C3 was 1982. They built 6 C4's in 1983 and none sold to the general public. The C4 was officially released in 1984. Please only comment on things you know......
Yep I had four of them, one was a 454. After the C4 the C5 and 6 were ugly I like the C7 a bit but after the C3's they kind of all look VW Kit cars especially the 5 and 6
I have the copyrights on that comparison line.......
i agree, it would have been nice if there were other comparable sleds running 127 mph or 205 kph when that sled ran 205.
The real AMX cars were 68 and 69. After that they were Javelins with an AMX trim. I lost a nice 70 Javelin with the Mark Donahue special package by an hour a few years back. Instead I got a nice 68 Barracuda out of South Carolina, sold it and bought a bunch of old Vettes......no time for old junk anymore......just a nice a nice SL 550 with the AMG trim package sitting in my garage waiting for May....
He flew with TCA/Air Canada 1951 until 1991, in those days 60 was retirement. He then flew the Lancaster at Hamilton until 2006 retiring as the worlds oldest Lancaster pilot, he did his last solo flight in 2011 at 81. He now flies with me. He flew 30000 hrs and since 1948 and never bent one airplane. Not bad I'd say....
Had lunch with my dad today and we talked about the amount of three engine ferry flights he has done during his career at Trans Canada Airlines/Air Canada. I had an old picture he took, late 1950's out the window of Vickers Viscount he ferried home from Cleveland on three engines.....that is the number four engine shutdown and feathered.
I had an 85 Mustand GT 5 speed, my wife loved it. I remember being out for a walk and she was coming home from getting her nails done. She saw me walking and lit up the tires coming off the light at an intersection.....I watched with a smile, I thought that was pretty cool.
I bet you remember when those things were new, drove like buck-boards. You could get the 3.8, 4.2 or the dreaded 5 liter v-8. My buddy the X 5 liter, it ended in a hurry when he through a rod through the block.....lol
