They are trying to sell you on their product, of course, they are trying to say it's better when it's not clutched as many people ar cheap asses. Oh, I can buy you tune and run stock clutching and it's going to work. With the right fuel the 1100 was fast at 7800 because it makes more power there. The problem isn't the clutching at 7800, it's the load put on the motor at 7800 and without great fuel you get detonation. Running it at a higher rpm where you have less timing is a bandaid for poor fuel
