  1. How is the screw jack holding up on your lift irv? I have one of those and the jack is getting rough with little use.
  2. No need to spend $250 on the 117. Gates carbon is the best Polaris belt.
  3. That's a lot a rubber. What kind of milage total?

It runs great, has good top end, competitive in a drag race. Your expectation of range is simply unrealistic, and you fail to factor in riding style/conditions as possible variables.
  5. At least you will be gauranteed to get use out of those!

Oh it was full no question there. That XRS gets the iron dog treatment on every fill up. No single brand always gets to save the day. 20%

It is of course DI primarily but SDI and DI at others? I'm not sure what to call that?? It really does not matter if it works well which there seems to be no complaints. I am always at my Doo faithful friends to order one up so I can try it!
  8. 14 year old tech? Show me a sled from 14 years ago that had the design that is being used on the Rush today. Bolting the snow flap to the rear axle ala 03' Rev is not the same in any way. I'll agree they suck for carrying anything/towing. When used as it was designed (trail sled) it is one of the best in the biz.

It is negligible especially as per your description. I did not say SDI is as good as DI. I said They both run well and comparably. I don't care to try to surpass 130, whats the point? I ride in Ontario there is lots of fuel avail. The last time a fuel runout happened in our group was last year, a 15' XRS 8 ETEC right around that 130 mile mark. The two 16' Polaris 800's both made it to fuel and I brought a can back for the Doo. The time before that it was in 2010 an 08' XP 800 X and My 02' XC700 both ran out about 2 miles apart on the way to Abitibi Canyon, that time was prob under 120 miles as we had filled them at the ESSO across from Thriftlodge in Cochrane. Good thing there was an IQ 600 that made it to the top to bring some fuel back for us. I'm sure you could make 170 mile happen under the right circumstances but that would not be the norm. They did go back to SDI as the 850 has a secondary set of injectors..
  10. Its a good spot for sure. Did you run over to Windy Lake? That is IMO the best run from Sportsman.
  11. Well said. Some of us on this site actually ride our snomobiles.
  12. Good to hear. George is a great host.

I do ride with ETEC's regularly (and pilot them too) the fuel/oil milage diff between current SD and Pol 800's is negligible. They both run excellent/strong/reliably and can make 130 + miles on a tank. That's all I care about, I'm not in this game to save $2.25 on fuel.. Sorry, but your 1200 is anemic. Completely irrelevant.

Any real proof of that first statement? Especially the second two points?
  15. Assume the bulletin is just checking torque? If the 850 has a water pump issue I'm sure BRP will adress it. They generally don't hide from issues. What's up with the Water pump anyway? You'd think there would be a thousand posts on it if true??

Polaris seems to be doing just fine without "ETEC"
  17. Good post . Would agree the 850 issues are mostly Internet issues just like the Sidewinder turbo falling off.. What was the issue with your 13 Indy? I can't see any abortion on the back of my 15??

Wait, what? You have a triple or a new XCR? Or way back when they were piston port twins? So many different kinds of XCRz Im confused.. Did they help you get er dialed in?

Funny I was actually speaking with Tommy this aft, but not about old XCR trips.

Mine is not the one Tommy is speaking of. Good to hear they are still out there and competitive.

I have a very nice 2000 that has not seen snow since 2008. Maybe when it becomes a classic ill get it out. I will never sell it unless Polaris comes out with a better 2 stroke triple..

Nice miles and damn cold up there the whole time too. Did you run toward Hearst? I'm making Hearst for Lunch from Cochrane then back for my first day on Friday. I've actually not been West of Kap before on A so I hope it's not tight N twisty (or rail grade boring) between there and Hearst.

    401 on the fender no?
  24. Sportsman is a unique place and will put you right in the good trails. Rocky's still have the "cabins"?
  25. How many years does it take you to get 600k on? What year was the GM?
