  1. Lucky there was ice under that slush hole, that fucker could've drown you...
  2. That way when I get someone asking a stupid question I can say that the answer is in the directions, and be right Just checking.... You can't imagine the amount of stupid shit I've seen

    ADAPT

Another late update lol Quite a few small changes between the one I tore apart in the spring and full production. Pics of the weights and shims
  4. stock oil tank is pretty light, its magnesium
  5. Nothing that hasn't been gone over on here. Some run hotter than others. I've never needed or run scratchers. My sleds are always studded, and they still do it once and a while when I think they shouldn't, but dragging a foot, spinning the track, or dipping off the side always cools them right off. I've mentioned it to tech and Halverson, we'll see if they made changes on the next chassis
  6. Are those screws run into the heat exchanger?? sure looks like the aren't where they belong..
  7. no holes to drill don't do anything stupid, read the directions, steps 5 and 6 make it clear the screws go up behind the cooler, not into it. we stud around a hundred sleds a year, never remove the flap
  8. engine mounts to bulkhead and cooler + engine mounts, and coolant hose connections are in different locations on the 4 strokes than they are on the 2 strokes = different bulkhead heat exchangers
  9. Well I failed.. he's getting a used pipe, but still putting 2 grand into that roach... Even got a 50% deposit so we won't be too bad when he doesn't show up to get it...
  10. Tomorrow I'm going to try and talk him out of spending any money on it. We'll see how it goes. They're all coming out of the scrap yard this year..
  11. Drove 2.5 hours to bring it to us.. Around 2700 in parts just in those pics...
  12. Missed the custom ski, and seat cover
  13. Most impressively cob jobbed pos I've seen
  14. Though we where high asking 15600 for a brand new riot 8000 that wont be here for a couple of weeks.... They made a pantera/tripple touring with the 1000 in it..
  15. I've never had an issue warranty replacing a procross headlight, for moisture. only ever had 1 or 2 of the leds do it
  16. Anything is possible I suppose, but I don't remember getting the offer. I was told the mods spoke about asking me though..
  17. I've seen a double post before, but think this is the first time for a quintuple post...
  18. Actually you guys decided not to ask me, since I didn't ever get asked (I would have gone). I know one of the guys who went pretty well though.
  19. YTX 20 battery used by doo and cat (same size but terminals are on opposite sides on cat than doo) weighs 15.1 lbs on its own.... https://www.yuasabatteries.com/battery/ytx20hl-bs/
  20. It pumps extra oil, oil coats everything, engine is fogged... Quality 2 stroke oil stays in place for a long time...
  21. think it was on the triples in the 90's. I know that when they switched the twins from RV to cylinder reed, they got isoflex bearings too.
  22. remote on 2 strokes in 04, maybe earlier on the 660.. The brain cells responsible for remembering that have long since died of alcohol poisoning though Yup, thats why I was replying to the question of when the heated seat came out, not adding it.. But a super modern, ultra light weight single with efi, multi stage exhaust valves, exhaust temp sensor, counter balanced, is a hell of a lot more innovative than just gluing a sled together.
  23. The shootout scales, and snowgoer say that the 137" Cat 8000 RR with E-start and recoil is a whopping 8 Lbs more than the doo 850 renegade X. The doo isn't anywhere near as tough as a procross, even if you add 20 lbs of aftermarket and doo accy catalog bracing
  24. Cat had heated seats factory communicators, and driver passenger intercoms way back on the 660 2 up machines, 2005 or 06 maybe. And "smart shocks" back in 2002
