  1. SX races are closer and more frequent to me than XC
  2. in before anyone says the outsold ac last year
  3. Say what you want about @Gym Ramstud, but he is obviously more intelligent than jimwit (@ZR6000RR). At least gym has the ability to spell, use punctuation, and grammar. Gym also knows far more about sleds than jimwit could ever hope to, I'd bet that unlike jimwit, he knows the first year ac had engine reverse, and that he wouldn't go on a forum and tell somone their sled has engine reverse, when it never did. Also gym isn't going all over the internet making up bullshit.
  4. Can you translate that from fucking moron to english? Even with pictures and a link to the magazine story, you don't understand that its welded to the tunnel??? Since you aren't smart enough to click the link, I'll quote it for you:
  5. Holy fuck are you stupid. Welcome to 2016 you fucking moron: https://www.snowtechmagazine.com/ski-doo-gen-4-rev-friction-stir-welding/ BTW that's owned.. notice how I posted the truth, with links, and pictures. Instead of making up a stupid lie, like you do
  6. wrong as usual, doo is the only one with DI With as stupid as you are, your opinion on the heat exchanger is as worthless as you. The only thing you own is a collection of huge butt plugs.
  7. Thats almost like saying Roger retired. I personally know guys who got canceled, here in NY despite some of the strongest franchise laws in the country. Some of them could have fought it, and won, but the court costs to try would vastly outweigh the profit of keeping the brand.
  8. as far as not "me too" doo has: direct injection (with throttle body injectors to cool everything at high loads), 850 cc, 2 stroke turbo, true smart suspension, heat exchanger integrated into the tunnel not riveted to it, methanol injection, rising rate rear suspension that fits in the tunnel, etc. AC would sell more mountain sleds if they offered a standard 2 rail skid. It gets asked about all the time, by consumers, and dealers HP loss is 3% per 1,000 feet
  9. If they are still interested, Argo would be the best fit, hell they are right down the street, and have most of the talent that textron foolishly got rid of
  10. not just recalls, but they lost a class action lawsuit over it. https://www.arcticcatyamahanationalclassaction.ca/
  11. That would be the first good thing they've done since taking over, but it would also be a change of plans, as they have already turned down real offers from yamaha, argo, and at least one other
  12. devils advocate time.. poo and doo both have turbo 850 trail and mountain sleds poo has had a belt drive in the mountains for years poo has a 900 even though poo's 840, 840 turbo, and 900 aren't reliable, they are ahead of AC right now, as is doo. The biggest thing is that It both companies have been developing their next engine and chassis since the last one was released
  13. I still have my green goggles, but don't ever recall making up complete lies, like jimwit, or defending obvious fuckups to such a ridiculous extent. Guess I can understand how some of these guys don't have a clue what is actually happening/happened. Arctic Cat is gone, its dead and burried. The company is now Textron Specialized Vehicles. All but a tiny hand full of the people who made it great, and great to work with are gone as well. Everybody knows they fired Roger, GLS, Don Eidie, Brian Dick, shut down the race department got rid of the staff, and moved it to more or less one man's cubicle etc. Its the folks that none of them know about that are the ones that made it such a great company, most of them are long gone. Guys spent an entire year with an empty box next to their desk, so they would be ready when the notice came down that they got fired.
  14. Which has less than nothing to do with you saying they don't care about sales #'s
  15. speaking of McLaren... Its worth the watch and listen. Apparently their engines are as reliable as polaris engines
  16. The problem is that textron has fucked the entire process up, what they have done to engineering, purchasing, and line workers they have killed their production capability. In 2012 they built 16,000 sleds for 2024 they will build about 6,000. With volumes that low margins are almost non existent, leaving little profit to pay for R&D. BTW the Bugatti / McLaren thing you brought up isn't even in the same universe as that textron is doing, or wants to do. Not sure if you've been hanign out with jimwit, but you need to re-read my post on it, until you understand. Being 3rd in sales wasn't bad when AC was close to poo in market share/production numbers, but they have fallen off a cliff, and are down to around 10% of the market. They are not niche, or botique by any stretch of the imagination, they do not command a significantly higher price than the others, so they make far less per unit, and far fewer units. The last 2 years poo sold more 850 turbo sleds (almost 12,000) than AC built total units (barely 10,000). Let that sink in.
  17. Its pretty impressive that marketing could screw up the sales process, and have the website showing sold out, when dealers had unsold allocated inventory As a matter of fact, despite what the site moron claims, ac was asking dealers for catalyst riot, and m orders last week
  18. the original wildcat x was revolutionary when it came out, but they let it stagnate, didn't improve it, and didn't increase the hp.
  19. Bugatti is owned by VAG, who uses it to build halo cars for bragging rights, and marketing. They don't care if it brakes even, or how much money it loses. McLaren is an independent business with finite resources, and does care how many cars they sell, as just like any other business. But they are a boutique brand, limited production numbers, high prices, high quality, supurb fit finish etc (or at least thats what they claim, real world their fit and finish is about as bad as tesla) that doesn't need high volume to turn a profit. Textron sure as hell cares about profit, and AC isn't a halo vehicle for them. Currently AC is in a very tough position, textron has destroyed their market share, and shrunk their production volume to a fraction of what it was when they took over. But they aren't building extreme high end vehicles, that sell for extreme high prices. This chart shows it pretty well: Skidoo is the obvious market leader, with Polaris being the challenger. AC is now the market follower, despite challenging poo for second place not that long ago. IDK if there is a nicher right now, maybe tiaga. Back in the day it was fast with the blade, cmx, and one or 2 others
  20. Proof you don't have the slightest clue what the phrases common knowledge, or hearsay mean. And that you and your tiny little man brain made up another lie
  21. It may be difficult for somone with so little intelegence, or knowlege as you, but they've invented this thing called an internet search. If you use it, it will provide you with all the proof, your tiny little man syndrome brain can take in Holy fuck, every time you say something even stupider than the time before, I think you can't get any dumber. Yet here you are eclipsing your own stupidity
  22. bold of you to assume he has any knowledge at all
  23. Track pitch got changed for the same reason doo, and poo changed it. 2.86" P is cheaper its also lighter (less fiberglass rods, fewer lugs=less rubber, and even fewer track clips) I personally told them that we had issues with stock 2012 sleds with 2.52" P tracks ratcheting, at the dealer show. Even that they need to use extroverts, esp since they made the change to a longer pitch, with fewer teeth on the drivers. Engineering argued with me, and said they never experienced it. 1 or 2 years later they came out with an "upgrade kit" to switch the sled to extro's At least Arctic cat was covering it under warranty if you called and asked. Textron would laugh at you, before telling you to pound salt.
  24. show us all how to disable the rev limiter
