I doubt much if any snow hits the track off of the flare. The way they mount even makes it scientifically hard for it to happen. @favoritos setup on the achat post would for sure direct way more snow towards the track than the cat ones ever will, which makes sense because that’s not what the cat ones are designed for.

I have 2 limiteds in the family that came stock with flares and both of them get hot in the same conditions my RR or RXC procross’s would. Your back stays drier on the LTDs though which is once again what the flares are designed for

They won’t they are to high up. If you look at a catalyst snow flap vs a procross someone put some time into that thing. It will have the snow bounce off of it and get picked up by the rear track lugs.

I had one (maybe multiple who knows) that would trot past me at one of my old hunting spots almost every morning at the same time for a few years. They’re beautiful animals and super cool to watch.

That one is probably like number 10. Never saw one ever by the house and probably 8 years ago I went to get a beer and it was right next to the cooler sitting 6 feet from us. Ever since then they have hung out around the house. The original one had better color and did not give a shit if people were around. I almost had it in the house

    Lot more snow in Minnesnowta

Yeah not much of anything here. Supposed to get 2 inches tonight followed by 1.5 inches of rain tomorrow. West of here about an hour had rideable snow the last few days if you went into the woods and stayed off the main trails

So you are saying, that you believe that jimwit went out for a test ride, came home put the flairs on, went for another ride in the exact same conditions, riding the exact same way, and his sled ran 25 degrees cooler....

His dealer hopped in a helicopter and made an immediate trip to install them. Free of charge to

I guess it’s from the upper an arm bushings. It’s on both sides. It started doing that after the 4th or 5th time I road it. I might take it apart and grease them. However it might be easier to spray some fogging oil in there. I have seen some other people post about that issue

I'm surprised our resident forum fact fabricator doesn't have constant issues with cooling. When my young nephew rides the R-XC at a constant 15 mph it definitely gets toasty.

I doubt those deflectors even do any deflecting at those speeds, let alone cooling.

I have a custom vent now in my garbage truck that draws in more air. It works like the hood vents on an old muscle car to draw more air in. They are back to building them like they use to.

So.... as far as the Catalyst goes, what's everyone's take on SnowTrax SOTY episode, saying that the handling and especially rear skid are not up to par with the other manufacturers? I don't pay much attention to it all but suspected that the all new Catalyst would have been chosen #1, sure they would be desperate to give AC some love.

Instead they gave it a design award.

Did AC miss the boat, or will some tweaking straighten it out?

Does AC have an updated rear skid in the wings?

I have not driven one, nor do any of my buddies have one so have to rely on second hand info.

On a positive note, looks like we have a new Arctic Cat dealer coming to the area, Georgian Bay Trailers have announced they are taking on the line-up, great news  Gives me another option, have no problem riding green if it's up to par.

The calibration on the suspension is awful on the catalyst and it is very noticeable. IMO this is where the “seat” is to hard  coming from. When you compare it to anything else you will notice the difference. They don’t need a redesigned skid, they to spend 5 minutes and have the thing calibrated right. If they fired all those people they can call carver and give him a couple grand to give them something that works.

Gilardoni makes cylinders for AC snow, not sure who does the casting for the new 600 atv engine, but Mahle made a lot of cylinders in the past.

Obviously arctic cat St. Cloud. Gym saw it with his own eyes and help pour the first batch of cylinders at their foundery in the parking lot

LOL...Thanks for the free entertainment tonight...Funnier yet are the gullible CATAHOLICS who are actually going to believe this BS...

Not bs. It pulls hard now and the wall is gone now. Season is late to do other things. I want to do adjustable weights and bring it down to a bitch and lighten then to where it works. The belt dust is gone now. I had my cousin with me where we run wide open a lot. It reminds me of the 06 CrossFit

Better check again, I was assured by people here with DYNO results backing that that would be way too high of RPM.  It was possibly in this thread.

It’s at 8300 at 95mph not 80. I think it needs to be pulled down a little more. Just checked the clutchs and they are clean and the belts dust flying everywhere is gone. It basically runs like a stock 600 should for a normal person.
