he should start making tunnel flares... it's the hottest new upcoming market.
look, only one guy according to Google claims they make your Cat run cooler just by attaching them. he must really be onto something...
@Not greg b Where's the radiator and cooling fan ?
https://www.arcticchat.com/threads/potential-cooling-improvement.491980/
I forgot to take a picture. It was a nice install. I think they used a transmission cooler for the radiator

no, I'd get their 600 Cross Country race sled... so would @racinfarmer
no... I'm a 10-70 rider as our trails have a lot of corners and trees. @Not greg b knows what most of the trails here are like.
#tunnelflaresdon't you currently have a 600... ?
Cat wasn’t interested in selling anything bigger than a 600 in catalyst when I bought mine and said no one needs bigger than a 600. Mean while there was whooshing sound and windshield washer fluid spraying all over the skidoo booth when they were doing a demo. They couldn’t take 100 dollar bills fast enough from people buying a quart of turbo juice to take home.

Would you seriously buy that, though? And if you would, why wouldn't you spend the extra $800 and get into the 850?
No one needs bigger than a 600. Only fools need bigger than a 600cc sled. Just read the cat thread lol

Halfway on the topic of F7s and cooling
Do people not run into each other at road crossings anymore? I feel like back in the day we used to replace ZR tail lights and crack firecat rear coolers from hitting each other almost every time we rode as a big group.
You know that use to happen a lot back in the day. It’s been a while since someone in the group has been ass packed hard enough to brake parts. The last good one I saw was when me and my cousin were driving over trees off trail in waist deep snow and popped out on the trail some how. The group of sleds coming towards was my dad, brother and some other friends. We didn’t know that was them coming up. My dad stopped to talk to us and my little brother wasn’t paying attention and ass packed the rear of our XC and there was skidoo xp body parts flying everywhere. He goes “whoopsie” and we all about died laughing when he said that. It didn’t hurt that old ass dragger but screwed that xp up pretty good. I am pretty sure that was the same trip my cousin was riding wheelie through the rock garden in my front yard and blew the belly pan out of his xp. We go you know there are big rocks there.

Stuff the flap up into the tunnel with your ski, play kill switch tag, see if you could fill someones helmet with roost at road crossings.
Play chicken by racing towards a fence opening that wasn't wide enough for two sleds
of course it wasn't $100+ for a flap, or a tail light lens either...
Zr6000 did not approve of any of those games when I talked about them a while ago. The ski up the tunnel is a good one. The setting the ski on the hood game is fun to

Well sheet. My zr of that era I had orange hood vents, orang boards, orange snow flap. What was the tank tamer? I don’t remember those. I remember everyone bitching about the 2000 13.5 gas tank being a nut buster worse than people bitch about the catalyst seat

Good call. Don't want the air recognizing a pattern. It is sneaky and sketchy like that.
I found a new set of those when we were moving. Think I sold them at Princeton.
I ran a green set in one sled and orange set in the next one. Had the matching running board treads to match

Remember, random holes are better then a pattern.
I will hole saw and drill bunch of random ones in the hood and in the air box. Then use duct tape to get the perfect flow like it’s a mid 90s zr

Supposed to come back here starting Thursday evening. 1-78" possibly through Tuesday.
I saw that. They are saying 2-4 here. There is a band of lake effect sitting right over my neighborhood and we have about 3 inches of snow. 2 miles away from the lake it isn’t snowing so who knows what will happen.

If you guys want to fix your cooling issues cut a frickin hole in your hoods and put some fins on your cylinders like real men
I am gonna put speed vents in the hood like the old jags. The catalyst lacks cool hood vents

if you get the angle just right the snow might hit the track or skid... if you do it right. couple rivets and in fifteen minutes the dealer will be all done with it.
No rivits. Duct tape and gorilla glue

Winter came back today. Probably because I put my shovel and sled away. At least they are easy to get to

The same Catalyst that is the opposite of fast on ice? Is it the same Catalyst they were too scared to enter into the Iron Dog since the belt drive wouldn’t hold up. That Catalyst?
I could win the the iron dog with a logging skidder

My 15 was finicky. Was told they relocated the sensor some year after. 2020 came standard with the flares. Could count on a missing fingered hand how often I used them. My 18 was the same. Thinking Greg likes riding in mud.
I don’t ride in Minnesota so no I don’t ride in mud
