if we have another winter like this they may as well start giving out five year warranties... on the trail sleds

At 325 miles this year they could warranty me for 15 years and probably still be safe

    9R that bitch... :roflcrying:

That's what I'm thinkin. Gives it one more year for improvements and hopefully they slap the 4 year warranty on it

Would anyone here want to own a 9R XCR outside of warranty?

I would not want to own any brand outside of warranty, have one year left on my current ride. What to do for 2026

can't say I really care for any of the 2025 Polaris color schemes... because colors matter.

You just have to pick the sled with the lightest color, every ounce counts

22 grand for a 9r 128 when there’s plenty of other certain 128” sleds out there for 1500 bucks that will smoke them……

    F7

One bump and the F7 is pointing skywards. Same comment could be made for the Catalyst 858, a 2000 ish XCR 800 would decimate it. Jus sayin

you Polaris guys are short on topics and conversations here... it's been total Madcatter domination since the new highly unnecessary chassis was announced.

seems like a cool sled, the price is quite laughable and its certainly nothing I'd want, but savor the moment.  :)

$21,806 MSRP as shown in the video... :lmao:

$ 27,500 for the one I priced (128) at my Ontario dealer plus 13% tax. That's MSRP. Needless to stay sticking with the 22 for another year

I'd like to know why aren't we talking about brake reservoir capacity and adjusting their levels so they're all the same?

It's unfair to have low brake reservoir capacity!

Also.  We should be putting a meth tank in every sled for weigh in.  It's unfair skidoo has to run one and not everybody else.

Also.  Skidoo has shot and that's unfair so we should weigh the skidoo with a regular lead acid battery.

Basically we need to make all the sleds exactly the same so everything is "fair".  Then they will all weigh the same and there will be no winners and losers.  Brilliant!  I can't think of a single thing that could go wrong with this mentality.

I'd make the sleds all the same colors as some colors may be heavier than others:lol:

Polaris need extra weight for running over sled dogs

And even more weight now to handle the dog deflector option. Some of the Cat guys used to say the lighter sleds (Doo and Poo) would fold like tin cans, apparently not the Cats though. :lol:Now light weight is the best thing since sliced bread. And I agree by the way

But… but @Bontz @krom @Tripleflipper all said climate change is fake.

Yay! Another mud national event. Marketing loves photos of sleds sitting on a dirt starting line and videos of mud splattered machines and riders. It doesn’t remind customers at all about the garbage winter they currently have. Snowchecks orders will be stacking up to the ceilings on desks next week.

Can you post the comment I made about climate change being fake, I don't recall saying that.

Saw an article about dogs dying in the Iditarod Race. No mention of any Poo sleds on the track. You hunting them for food

They listen to customers.  The catalyst itself is proof of that.  They don't entirely change a snowmobile based off one narcissistic guy whining at a show thing.

Yep they are tanking themselves, the #1 talked about snowmobile for 18 months.  You people have been saying this about cat forever, and yet here they are.

This site is the only place I hear people crying about clutching.  All 3 people.  I have yet to hear anyone say the seat is too soft.  I have seen numerous posts on FB from older guys complaining that the seat is too hard and hurts their butt.   But let me guess, you guys want them to make only the changes that you personally want.  All the snowmobile media has not said anything about clutching or the seat... In fact it's the exact opposite, they say the engine is awesome and it feels incredibly good for a 600.  Psst, that includes clutching.  They also say best seating position/ergos/rider triangle in the industry.  Psst this includes the SEAT.  You guys should get a life, if cat is so bad why do you own them or care about them?  Some people are just miserable AF and that is you guys.  Just live to bitch.

Took far to long to bring to market a sled to compete with Doo and Poo. After reading comments here and other sites this sled was far from hitting it out of the park. This is what Cat needed. They had a chance here to take customer input and were not interested. Yup, that will keep you in business. #1 talked about sled for 18 months, remind me again how many units were sold

Maybe they didn't like something about you?

Seat foam is something that every person will have a different opinion of.  They aren't going to go back and switch foams because of what one guy said to them.  Are you that self centered where you think they should?  I can guarantee you some people will think is too soft, some will think it's too firm, some will think it's too skinny, some think too fat, etc etc.  As long as that is the case they're not going to care what one person comes up to them and says about it.

Those people are there to give info to consumers, it's a one way info path.  They don't care what infinite wisdom Joe Blow off the street has to say.  If they want the feedback they'll do surveys and monitor things online.

If this is the case, it likely explains part of the reason Cat is struggling to survive. If you don't listen to your customer, and clearly Cat has not for the last 5 years easily, then it's a downward spiral. In my opinion.

  12. Talked to my dealer about an XCR 9r. Before I asked him for my price i needed to know what my 22 XCR was worth on a trade. Market is flooded with leftovers and used sleds. Said he wasn't taking trades but would take mine due to my purchasing history. He gave me his best price, I fell out of my chair. Don't even bother giving me a price on the 25.

The industry is again in trouble.

sometimes you have to dig through the details to find the good parts... new Dog Deflecting windshield

    dogdeflector.png

They tested that all winter and apparently it worked, it deflected an entire dog team and the operator kept going. Wonder if they'll create a version for northern Canada where we have run ins with polar bears and wolves.

Priced out this model. MSRP $ 27,130 without freight and PDI, thankfully my dealer doesn't charge PDI or MSRP. Plus HST 13%. Still not enough for me to deal unless they give me $ 18k for my 22. Wonder if the 25's come with the exploding gas tanks, maybe that's an option now

The grooming is so good nowadays that you can legit ride anything on the trails.  The old stuff is more enjoyable today than ever, trails were never this good in the 90's.  I really have no memories of good trails, I just remember eating too much and coming out and it being cold and the bumps grew and we have a long way home and full bellies and big bumps the whole entire way.

I recall a time on my Indy 650, rode for 3 hours non stop on relatively smooth trails, had lunch, came out for the trip home, ran for a half hour, stopped and asked my buddies jokingly if they could ride back and get the truck. The old stuff was great for the time but I don't miss them now.
