  1. Easy to say when it's not your 22 grand. I doubt it's part of their business model to waste that kind of $ on an insignificant race that will provide zero return since it's so off the radar that their sleds have no eyeballs on them besides the high school media coverage. I really don't know how to prep a sled to run on miles and miles of pure mud and dirt and would feel pretty bad for the machine the whole time even if it's not mine.
  2. To be fair, he said local dealers, not huge dealers.
  3. This will not be popular. I think ice racing being combined with "terrain" racing is lame. Two completely different disciplines for racer and machine. I don't care about lake racing. I don't see other series alternating flat track and enduro races. People want to know who is the best at one discipline, not a Jack of all trades. If they can't do real xc races then just don't do it and call your series lake racing.
  4. I can't imagine many people being pumped to snow check a sled if they didn't ride this year. Especially if there's not much new. Cat will sell 858's. The used market has come back to reality, this makes it harder for new buyers because they're getting less for their old sled they're selling or trading. And besides tough winter, alot can happen with the economy. I think a lot of people are feeling some uncertainty about the future of the country in general. Combine that with the always-present real possibility of having 2 or three or more bad winters in a row.. I'd never be invested in any of these companies.
  5. It makes time to develop new chassis race machines.
  6. Look at Duluth MN. 1900-1940 had snowfall in 50" ranges. Ever since then it has increased significantly. That's pretty great change of climate! 1900 appears to have been peak global warming. But hey Al Gore and Greta says...
  7. Bring a trailer is over priced and over hyped crap. Really it just pisses me off watching the Ford trucks and knowing what I sold mine for in 2020 which was WAY better than 98% on there and I fucking gave it away and it's hard to get over that and will be hard to ever buy another because of how much more I'd have to spend to get a less desirable truck. Guy came out to buy a sled and bought the truck too which wasn't for sale but I'd been wanting to move it for some time and had zero idea how nuts that market had become.
  8. I'd agree. Burandts reaction the first time Tucker said Arctic Cat almost made me feel awkward. You could tell he was avoiding talking about it. He loosened up later on though how he was talking about Tuckers 2000 sled.
  9. Is that a 2003 skidoo? Epic Alaska conditions as always I see
  10. 46 degree sticker is only for 800's dummy
  11. First of all, don't hold your breath. And don't try to divide us, we are in the Jag family and you are on the outside looking in. I have a long track Puma anyway so it's all good and he'd pop a wheelie over the Z no doubt about it.
  12. That was a cool conversation. Last year I got invited to a midweek Thomas ride which I couldn't go to and then I saw Tucker showed up for the ride on a Jag, I was so bummed I missed the chance to Jagbro down with the goat. Some day! It'd be cool if he he did a pod with Kirk, alot of cat guys would like to hear that too. Different era of sleds and Cat.
  13. And people seem to think it's always fresh when they pump it at the station. Even keeping sleds outside overnight you can get condensation in a tank. It's just not great to use and it's heavily subsidized for dumb political/$$$ reasons. I'd rather pay the farmers to grow food instead of shitty ass fuel. We have plenty of oil
  14. I was going to ask if talked Jags. Epic. Only the best snowmobile rider ever. What does he know. He also talked about them on the carbide podcast. #trendsetters
