  1. The district they are holding this voted 87% for Biden in 2020 - Hell, just go dig up what one of the joke of a late night hosts said on his show, pretty much explains how this is going.

Not that I’m taking sides on any of this, but this is why they don’t hold political trials in an election year.

A friend of mine gets the big hives like that in the fall after 1 or 2 hard frosts, clear coats the outside and hangs them in his garage and man cave....... No bees in them so it looks pretty neat where he hangs them.

An old BIL used to find them in the late fall/early winter, and put them inside his other BIL’s truck and follow him until they warm up… 😂

Nice trailer and good for you to lasting this long without an enclosed trailer.  Living in central Wisconsin and like you caring about your sled haven't tailored a sled in an open trailer for years.

In a normal year every week my sled is traillored up Nth to ride.  Can't image trailering it it a open trailer.

2-up sleds have a good demand.  Wait until fall to sell it.

I have mostly hauled the one in the back of the truck, with a cover it really doesn’t get too buggered up.  And having a large club of guys, I’ve almost always been able to piggy back in someone else’s enclosed.  Especially when I’m staying for a week and go up with one guy and come back with a different guy (that sounds kinda creepy!).

This was just too good of a deal… @Bontz This was Tim’s brand new trailer he never got to use.

  4. I’ve hit a wall with pool this year, I don’t know what it is.  I started this season 9-0 and just don’t feel like playing anymore.  Good thing I have 5 other capable guys (5/night/match) to finish the regular season, which we sit at the top of as well by an insurmountable per game average with 2 weeks to go.  So they’ll have some playoffs yet also.

Been doing 2 of the 3 seasons a year for 20+ years.  Last year I got talked into the summer league and I’m over it….

  5. My son just turned 27, has gone from the new guy in a 25 person company to #4 as the Production Manager of a now company staff of 35 in just 3 years.  Puts in 50-55 hours a week and gets paid for his OT.  He is now training new people, directing work loads, and doing quite well - but is still far short of what he feels he needs for a small starter home here in the Twin Cities ($300k is a tough find around here).  Paid off all his student loan debt when payments were paused, paid cash for a decent reliable car ($14k Accord) and is closing in on the 20% down saved up he wants to have when buying.
He has done a fair amount of research, and unfortunately renting makes more financial sense than buying at the moment.

    You click on his links?

    Never.
Probably a case of misinterpreting what you meant - I read it as you never click on anything AC posts here on this site, not his links.  Which is why I found it funny… carry on!

Always a tough topic when you throw in folks like Jim Brown, OJ, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, and even Barry Sanders.  I still would say Bo Jackson was the best of the best.

I also thought that if the Russians are doing this to American officials, what device is the Americans using on the Russians.

This is exactly where my brain went when I saw that story.

From 1979 to 1982 the price of groceries went up 35%.

Those were tough years for sure.  My father made MANY difficult choices in what our family did - propane was another commodity that sky rocketed, we got into the firewood business.  Paid for a lot of my college years…

IMO most of this inflation is a direct result of the pandemic and global shipping crisis. Shipping fees have skyrocketed the past 3 years.

    100% agree.

Speaking for myself since I retired got asked to come back as a contractor 4 times and turned it down each time.  The current level of management feel having meetings and sending email and text chains out actually gets something done and resolve problems.  They are wrong.  You need to talk to people one on one and physically look at the problems and hold people accountable.

I liked my job but hated the current method/environment of management.  That was the main reason I retired and the reason I wouldn't go back as a contractor.

With this current 5-7 year conversion project I’m on, I certainly can see what you mean.  And when this carrot they’ve put out in front of me comes to fruition, retiring and coming back as a part time contractor will certainly be an option.  Am I going to be willing to do that?  Time will tell.  We have one guy who retired and contracting now, and he ducks out on meetings all the time, so he can get what they want done. That would be a cool option for a while, not during snowmobile season!

I am hiring way above that category though.  $150k + jobs shouldn't be that hard to fill

I don’t see a lot of movement in that area, unless whole sale changes are occurring.  I’m one willing to “ride out” what I have at the moment.  It would take quite the bump to make me even consider looking right now.  I know one person who has been adventurous in the last 4-5 years and I think they’ve had 6 jobs in that time frame.
