Went out today and did just under a 100 miles. Left camp it was -15f....plus a wind. Coldest I have ridden in a while. Had handlebar muffs, two base layers, a heavier mid layer and Klim shell. Just damn cold with the wind whipping.
Yup, cold all day. Wife and I stayed at the Ridge view in Lowville NY last night -18 this morning. She’s a trooper, throw on the gauntlets and she’s good to go. Only did 120 miles though, they need more snow.

Not sure what happened to your ecu, but I had an 09 600 and the voltage regulator failed and fried the ecu. Polaris did have a service bulletin on them back in the day. Not sure if it pertained to the 08, but something to consider.

Surprised this hasn’t had its own thread made yet, but apparently what will happen is you’ll have to pay a tax if you’re unvaccinated, at least in Quebec.
Canadia is going all out.
So it’s gonna be a quarterly tax?

Grandma thanks you Jt for not being selfish and wasting a home test on yourself. Saving them for the more vulnerable, especially while there is a shortage because we have an idiot president.

Another conspiracy.
Seemed like a pretty straight forward question, 3 years in, she should have been able to punch Bret in the face with facts. Not blubberIng omicron data bla bla bla. Another perfect example of why there are so many COVID threads.

The date that I have seen here in Vermont is totally different than what you are claiming. Are you looking at total numbers, or per 1000 people.
Well it looks like Vermont should be running out of people. Over 76000 total cases and only 90000 out of 630000 left unvaccinated

Anybody got a link to these free snow tires?

you ride with rynex?
Have only seen him and his wife out on the trail, never ridden with them. We buy from the same dealer and sometimes see them there on Thursday nights.

Guy I know and on hardcore just went and got the J&J jab last night so he can ride Quebec this year.

I've only ordered one new one and it came January 15th last year! LOL
But the two I can remember most were the 1992 Indy 500 Classic I bought, as Zam said, first sled I purchased myself.
The sled I really couldn't wait to get was the 2018 XCR Switchback 800 I found with 240 miles on it, 4 hour drive away, in April, for what was even then a GREAT price. Being a high mile trail rider, that sled had me pumped all summer, and the season didn't disappoint being able to put on over 6000 miles that next season. Good times!
The one sled I wish my father had never sold was his 1973 TX 500 Limited - would still like to find another, but that's all but impossible now.
I saw your throw back pic in another thread and noticed the chrome tank on the ‘73 Tx and wondered if it was a limited. That’s awesome👍 My uncle had a ‘73 Tx 400 since new that I was able to get from him a few years ago. Thanks for sharing.

you must be in the southern zone as our trails don't open until the first either, not that we have any snow yet
yup, just below Rte 4 (think that's the line), Washington Co

Doesn’t matter how much snow we get. Our trails don’t open until hunting season is over and new this season, that means January 1st.

Sweet sleds 👍
agree the 650 is a tight woods killer. How much snow you got in NY?
Not much, Maybe 3to4 inches. I’m right on the Ny Vt border by Fair Haven Vt. Got early bird vast for all the sleds, hoping Tabor/ Woodford area will get some rideable snow by New Years.

Do people know how vaccines work?
Google
Sorry, there exact words: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE VACCINE? The vaccine has been shown to prevent COVID-19.

The fact sheet for Pfizer says, purpose: to keep you from contracting COVID-19

Got the new sled studded last week. Finished servicing the ‘19, replaced the drive bearings, new slides, changed a couple of idler wheel bearings, repacked the rest and cleaned the power valves. Got a chance to run the 650 today, engine is smooth and seems to be very responsive. Shock valving is pretty firm. It’s going to be a great NY,VT tight trail sled.

@ckf All I here is the unvaxed are filling the hospitals, yet the American Hospital Association tells a different story. Covid is 2% in many states. They still won’t say if a Covid icu patient has other problems. You never hear of anybody getting pneumonia. We have a bunch out with covid? Both vax and unvaxed. These at home tests are the root cause for most of these positives. 2 years later,I still don’t personally know one person that has spent the night in a hospital with covid. Definitely know a few that went for treatment and never spent the night. I don’t believe either side. Like anything else, the truth is somewhere in the middle.
The young man who just lost his life in Warren county,(there is a thread on here) news reports as unvaccinated, no comorbidities, Covid death. His go fund me page says he had double pneumonia. I have a 56 year old friend, excellent health who ended up in Rutland Vt hospital. I was surprised to hear they had him listed as having Covid/pneumonia. It almost killed him.

Why would anyone NOT want this after reading the fact sheet?

It clearly makes no promises that it works or for how long.

Wife and I got back out for over a couple hundred miles this last weekend. Rode out of the Ridgeview motel in Lowville NY again. Trails were good to excellent.
