  1. What subsidies do oil companies get? They may recieve investment tax credits. No different then mining, forestry, manufacturing companies, etc recieve. They shell out millions to drill and find oil. They employ hundreds of thousands of people in the oil industry. And pay taxes on back end. Yes if you read the rightbwing wacko claims the subsidy claims are $34 billion including just about everything under the sun such as carbon tax on the fuel you burn in your turbo cat. We pay 10 times the market rate for wind and solar power in Ontario. And now cap and trade. For what? To lose jobs to USA where power is reasonably priced? Paying 10 times market price is that a subsidy? Or fair rate for new technology? Catman, park you turbo cat and all other carbon footprint producing items or else stand in line like Leonardo and JT the big hypocrites. Either carbon production is bad and cut back now or its not bad. Lead by example instead of killing your children with carbon.
  2. So there are scientists on both sides of the issue both claiming to be right. For every arguement for global warming there is arguements against. Why is your side right? why dont those for it like Justin Trudeau, Leonardo Di Caprio, Wynne, and you do your part to stop it instead of telling me that its my responsibility to pay more taxes to stop it? Get rid of your sled, get rid of your sled hauler, buy a Prius or electric car and lead by example! Stop flying on airplanes on world jaunts. Then i will consider it serious once the choir singing the song takes it seriously. Until then those spreading the global warming myths are full of shit.

  4. Interesting read in Toronto Sun. Catman feel free to show up and comment. Don’t let climate alarmists muzzle your skepticism Toronto Sun January 8, 2017 LORNE GUNTER @anthonyfurey lgunter@postmedia.com Two things happened in Alberta politics this week that demonstrate just how zealous “green” politicians everywhere are about the theory that human activities are causing dangerous climate change. Under pressure from voters over the $3-billion-a-year carbon tax that it brought in on Jan. 1, Alberta’s NDP government lashed back. First, on Tuesday the NDP caucus officially demanded that Wildrose Leader Brian Jean remove MLA Don MacIntyre from his post as opposition critic for renewable energy and electricity. Why? Had MacIntyre been pilfering funds from taxpayers? Had he been harassing interns? Making racist statements? No. MacIntyre’s sin was expressing doubts about the manmade climate change theory. In short, the NDP wanted MacIntyre removed for exercising his right to free expression. The NDP didn’t want to counter MacIntyre’s opinions with their own. They wanted MacIntyre’s views branded as lies. And they wanted him shut up. Attempts to censor climate change skeptics is an increasing tactic of the climate alarmists, with some American alarmists launching a racketeering lawsuit against skeptics and Canadian eco-activist David Suzuki calling on governments to jail skeptics. Alberta’s NDP also sought to justify their imposition of a carbon tax on everything that moves in Alberta (and every home that is heated and every light that is switched on) by claiming that at least one American state — Washington — is doing the same thing. On the Tuesday edition of CBC TV’s Power and Politics, Alberta Environment Minister Shannon Phillips insisted Washington would soon have a tax similar to Alberta’s. Except the state of Washington isn’t imposing a carbon tax. Indeed, in November Washington voters rejected a statewide plebiscite (59% to 41%) to enact a carbon tax. Later Phillips claimed that what she meant was that since the failure of the plebiscite, Washington Governor Jay Inslee has asked state legislators to consider imposing one despite voters clear rejection of such a tax. Alberta’s New Democrats, like greenies everywhere, want to muzzle any opinion on climate change that differs from their own extreme views, while making up facts that make their opinions look more objective. So in the interest of readers who may wonder whether the science of global warming/climate change truly is “settled,” I would like to offer some online resources that will show a significant (and perhaps growing) number of scientists have doubts about humans’ impact on climate. This is important because if humans are not contributing significantly to climate change, then policies such as Ontario’s cap-and-trade scheme, Alberta’s carbon tax and Ottawa’s carbon price will not only be economically crippling, they will be environmentally meaningless at the same time. Start with these three online articles that all offer excellent summaries of exactly what is and isn’t scientifically known about climate science. You’ll be surprised how much of what is reported as “fact” is still only theory that exists in computer models: Links http://www.dailywire.com/ news/2071/most-comprehensiveassault-global-warming-ever-mikevan-biezen http://www.drroyspencer.com/ my-global-warming-skepticism-fordummies/ http://www.breitbart.com/biggovernment/2017/01/03/christopher-essex-milo-delingpole-gallantscientists-remembered-and-climatepolitics-in-2016/ Then, if you want to dig deeper, visit WattsUpWithThat.com, the world’s mostviewed climate science site. There are also Friends of Science Calgary, the Global Warming Policy Foundation, the CO2 Coalition, Climate Depot, Climate Audit and Still Waiting for Greenhouse. And each of those sites will take you to dozens more. You might also Google “Russian Academy of Science” and “ice age.” Russia’s most prestigious scientific institute believes we are in for prolonged global cooling (not warming) because our sun is about to enter a phase of less activity that could last 30 years. The two things these articles and sites will show is that there are plenty of credible scientists who disagree with the warming consensus. And at least some alarmists are doing all they can to keep them quiet.
  5. No i just figured there must be a Canada Day flag colouring contest and JT could start his entry now. Gives him lots of time to finish and not go outside the lines.
  6. So mixed in with Canadian tour is some International travel. Hmmmmm... maybe another way to hide the imbecile and cover his tracks. All the sheep think he is touring Canada for 3 weeks yet he is off on another taxpayer jaunt somewhere Internationally. When will the idiot just stay home and pretend to work. Does he need a new box of crayons to finish his flag contest submissions?
  7. As you stated Revrnd, Trudeau was elected because of his promise to legalize pot. A lot of the younger generation and stoners voted to get their pot easier. They all thought they would be able to smoke pot everywhere any time Look at Failmaker and his past posts Its the same as NDP in Alberta. Motley promised $15 min wage and all the young who never voted before voted for Notley. Forget the fact most know there will be few jobs at $15 as there will be no one working.
  8. The secrecy is they know the majority are getting tired of thie do nothing PM. They want results and JT gives smiles. His free pass is running out so they try to hide how often he is out of country as everyone knows he is under microscope to produce but his handlers know he is not capapble..
  9. 18 and 19 year olds. There should be plenty left in tank. unless hotel lobby was full of puck bunnies and the boys were up all night.
  10. So New Years celebration 150th Canadian year and where is Justin? Nasau Bahamas. Canada is back And burning plenty of fuel on taxpayer dime.
  11. Catman, i read an article on the weekend about cap and trade. If California sells 100,000 credits to Ontario, California can claim lowered it carbon footprint by 100,000 tonnes. ontario by buying can claim it lowered its footprint by 100,000 tonnes. no one has actually lowered shit but there are claims of 200,000 tonnes lowered. How the fuck does a stupid program with no way to measure invisible gas produced work? That is other then a bunch of bullshit politicians patting each other on the back making statements of reductions. If Trudeau really wanted areduction he could stop jetsetting around the world, stay in his office and there would be a huge reduction by 2 or 3 flights lees a day by a plane.
  12. What a stupid penalty to take.
  13. We should have had Justin talk to officials before tournament. Cant he fix everything?
  14. Big hole to climb out of. Down 2 and on a penalty kill. Next 2 mins will tell story
  15. Or green initiatives and green infastructure. Its all cash in the bank or bust. Does anyone else get angry every time they hear the great Liberal sloagan of investing in social infrastructure?
  16. Justin Trudeau loves UN and strives to be a big part of it. Donald Trump calls it a club where people get together, talk and have a good time! who is going to be the better influence on their country as a leader?
  17. Best hockey of the year is on.
  18. Justin is playing Santa Claus again. Gives away 5.5% raises to Union workers in federal government. Merry Christmas. Fuck the private sector taxpayers!!!
  19. I dont doubt she and JT get along and like the same policies. She was just convicted of giving a payout!
  20. Sksman

    It's Started!

Its bullshit. He ran for a term. He should have to finish it or pay all associated costs for by-election to replace him. Why should tax payers be saddled with extra cost because he decides he misses home.
  21. What a waste of time. Kinda like asking Fail if he smoked dope today. We all know the answers!
  22. Anyone get the Globe? I saw article title "PM says he is lobied at Liberal fundraisers but not influenced." The drama teacher is a poor actor even.
