“Widely outlets” sounds like a piss poor Chinese translation.

Smaller load, voltage susceptible stuff is better off on a UPC IMO.

I ran into a fault last year that took out many devices in my neighbourhood.

A large transformer failed, essentially not causing an outage but a voltage drop to 90 volts once dropped down from the higher voltage transmission line. A constant 90 volts. My guess is a transformer shorted, but not enough to trip a breaker or fault out.

My wife noticed it, the AC heat pump was surging, so I put a meter in a socket. 90 volts to ground.

I shut my main breaker off and called my local utility and said they better do a full blackout.

    Took them a few hours.

Dang constant low voltage sucks.  It’s hard to justify a shut trip breaker unless it’s a more frequent issue.

Definitely UPC/UPS all computers or smart electronics though.  :bc:

If you can do whole house surge protection I'd go that way. I don't have any of my appliances on a surge protector but any electronics that I buy which cost more than a few hundred bucks goes behind a good surge protector. :bc:

I would (do) even go a step further, all computers and electronics with smarts or hard drives are on a UPS.

Then the internet is the last thing to go down in the house!

I do also have somewhat unstable voltage due to cattle waters and such that can cause voltage to dip.

Offered to take my boys to the Twins opener yesterday.  They chose the auto show.  Not at all due to the weather, but just the fact how boring baseball was.  Figured I'd be a crappy parent to not offer them a baseball game experience at least once.  Took them to the Globetrotters game a week ago, going to a Loons game tomorrow and a Wild game next week...but they said no to baseball.  They both have been to the Saints stadium as we went to the championship game, but that might be more exciting than anything MLB has to offer as an experience.

    Savanna Bananas man!  :bc:

The days of a shiny paint job and a set of wheels are pretty much over. You really have to push the envelope to get your car noticed now. My dads mustang. Never driven, other than to put it on and off trailer. Not for me. I wouldn’t own a car, I wouldn’t drive.

X2.  I would want to enjoy the car I put that much time and money into.  Some people get that excitement out of shows though I guess.

I guess that’s why I really dig rat rods.

  5. Put a new starter, battery, air filter, and spark plug in the four wheeler.

Have to troubleshoot one of the AC systems on the TV truck today.  I’m thinking a contactor pooped out.  The indicator for the condenser fan never goes green and the fan is just free wheelin.  The neighbor fan seems to be keeping enough air moving  across it so that I’m not getting a high pressure alarm.  Johnson controls is coming out to look over the systems, the hot season is coming!

Do you have to prep the apples at all to freeze them? I always thought they would turn brown so I never tried freezing them.

Peel and slice. right into the freezer to keep the brown down.  :bc:

Do you do any of the big events anymore or are you just doing the rodeo circuit?

Just rodeo (PBR) the last couple years.

I did some Barrett Jackson auctions last year but I don't think I will be back on those.  I had the oppertunity to go back to PGA golf, but I passed.  The pictures I posted of my brother and I were out working, he, my sister, and I all work together on the PBR.  It's really a pretty cool ordeal.   PBR is so busy, it's nearly 40 weekends a year.  I am missing a lot of my kids growing up.
