Its about quality of life and boy was he still full of it. We did it and it came back and we did it again when he got a blood clot we knew it was time. Have no regrets and would not hesitate to do the same again and again. Awesome

I did a couple in my 9 year old golden this spring and really I think it made things worse...tumor started spreading all over his side so instead of one he has at least a dozen now. poor guy is getting to the point where he doesn't want to walk and even eat some days. we have him on prednisone which seems to be helping. just going to keep him as comfortable as possible and enjoy some time with him while I can. good luck with the toe AC... if he doesn't want to walk he's going to go downhill fast so take care of it

It's eating away at the bone, which is why the toenail is pointing upwards ,it's not connected to anything. The bone stops at the knuckle. Fuckin gross. Woman is worried dog may not survive the surgery due to her age ...11 years old. If we don't, the tumor will kill her eventually, she also has liver failure which she's on meds for. I say we do it,gonna cost 1000.00 ,but she's our baby. I hate this shit Hope it works out for you. At the end of the day, I think you got to do what's good for the dog. You know her best. It helps having a honest, good vet.
