Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
WEST STEWARTSTOWN, N.H. — A Meredith man recently reeled in the largest lake trout on record in New England. Thomas Knight caught a 37.65-pound lake trout. Knight caught the fish Feb. 25 while ice fishing on Big Diamond Pond in West Stewartstown, Fish and Game officials said. The fish measured more than 40 inches in length and 27 inches around. After weighing the fish on a certified scale, Fish and Game determined it not only broke the New Hampshire record, which was 28 pounds set in 1958, but was also the largest lake trout caught in New England. Fish & Game biologist Andy Schafermeyer estimates the fish was between 50 and 60 years old. https://www.wmur.com/article/meredith-man-reels-in-record-catch/31183927
