I don't know 04 personally but I trust his opinions enough to know that he isn't very likely to be making things up. Maybe he got a lemon, who knows, but I trust those problems exist on his sled and therefore likely others as well.
I am just kicking tires anyways and until I can justify purchasing a new(er) one, it will likely be a couple of years out before that happens. Truthfully, right now, I am liking what I am reading about Poo's suspension and handling and despite the engine rumor(s) going around, I think, for the most part, those are exactly that, just rumors.
I wouldn't take my experience into the deciding factor. It is a comfortable ride and power is pretty good. I most likely got the one made on the Friday of a long weekend

There is one on dootalk 15000+ miles. No frozen steering and just a few issues. One being a burned bulb.....
I do believe he or his buddy's did end up with steering froze up. Problems aren't on every sled. Some are good and some are bad. 15000 mile guy also said he is leading all the time so he doesn't get the snow dust. I think I just got the luck of the draw with mine as woolie hasn't had a problem with his. Some of my problems showed up within the first 200 km's of riding. High gas tank pressure showed up in the first 100 feet of ownership.

Mine ran perfect all season, at 240 HP. All cleaned up and polished, waiting for another great season next year.
On the other hand, the 850 poo in our group ran like a 440, trying to carry 250 pounds of sand.
2019 poo 850, unmatched trade in value @ 50 % of new.
Trade value price is still higher on the 850 than what cat is trying to blow their sleds out at.

Frozen vent line. Will collapse tank. Needs to be replaced.
They put the vent line in a shitty spot IMO.

My G4 had the frozen steering. Fixed it myself.
Filtered vent are now available.
They just came out with the filter vent for the 900 turbo. Guys are saying on DOOtalk that it doesn't work. Some were taping off every vent and even taping off the intercooler opening but were still getting frozen steering

The guys up north said they had a pinched vent line on the one tank and it got sucked in and left nasty mark on the side of the tank.
I checked mine and it is good. Some are sucking in and actually cracking the tank. BRP is warrantying those. Mine is building pressure and won't release until you take the cap off. Diesel's sled is the same

How come they aren't suing the bullet manufacturer as well

106-116 on gps is far from slow, cmon man. That’s on a 137”:track too, average 800 struggles to crack 100.
Mine hasn’t had any of those issues in1800 miles. I’m thinking Aaron’s sled might have gotten left out in the rain and then something froze up.
I've heard that there is a service bulletin on the sled coming out but haven't gotten anything yet

Like what, Aaron?
Steering froze cock stiff
2 times I had a completely dead machine
I have developed a vibration at anything over 140 that'll shake your teeth out
an insane amount of pressure in the tank to the point if you spin the cap off it will shoot up about 8" into the air
engine oil is at the fill line
throttle surge coming into corners. It will actually start to accelerate even though you aren't touching the throttle if you blip it before. Doesn't come to idle quick like a 2 stroke. Just have to know it may happen and adjust but I did have a few oh shit moments.
Mine has a lag in it
random high idles
Backfiring
clunking in reverse. Usually means the secondary spring is broken
Some of these problems were on my first trip with it. Took it to the dealer and they told me they couldn't find a problem with it.

Most reliable sleds I’ve owned to date were my 13 nytro and 17 SBA. Only reason I got rid of the nytro was the fuel range. Fun sled and nuts reliable

Is that a season record?
No. Tops for me was a few years ago when I bought the nytro. Did 2000. This turbo is not the sled for me. Doesn’t fit me well and has had some problems

I was just making a comment about what I read and am genuinely curious about trade ins...didn't realize I was going to offend anybody.
I have no idea what he's talking about when they won't take his on trade

50 % depreciation in 1 fukking model year on the poo 850, from a poolaris dealer. Think about that, and let it sink in. Good thing it has unmatched reliability, or it might even be 75 % depreciation, in 1 fukking year. I wonder if the poo dealers know something extra about the 2019 850 poos, that they haven,t let out of the bag yet ?

That's exactly what it was even let the 900t take a rolling start with the turbo spooled up and gave him the jump. Reeled that fucker and said bye bye.
Sounds like a poor running turbo
