We are renting in an old army base and there were no shortage of kids. They started coming around 5:00 and by 7:00 it was all over. There were some pretty cool costumes and even parents were dressed up taking the kids thru the base.

Not my pics as we couldn't get close enough. The USS Gerald R Ford docked in the Halifax Harbour. There were a few warships docked nearby and ferry boats doing shuttles from the carrier to shore.

I went once for the selection process and sat their listening to the BS process then it was my turn for the interview. I got lucky it was with a lady and gave her my sob story lol. I told her I was a single dad with 3 kids and in a bad financial way and couldn't afford to take time off work and had nobody to look after the kids. It worked and about a year ago another letter came and it went in the garbage

Country homes seem to take that certain buyer to come along. Ours was on the market for almost 3 months and the president of a nearby sled club bought it. They can sled right from there and I guess that's what they were looking for.

The fuckers charge a .10 cent deposit on beer bottles/cans in Nova Scotia and you either put them in recycling bags or return them to a depot and only get .05 back. Water at Costco is $6.99 and a $4 deposit and the bottles end up in recycling.

Yup! We're in a rental at the moment and they have people that cut the grass etc so it gives me more free time lol. I have to cover my pontoon, winterize the motorhome,put some stuff away and with the good weather here not a big rush. The new house won't have any grass and will be easy to look after.

I took the CPP( Canada Pension Plan) at 60 at a small reduced rate and worked for 6 more years and still contributed. I'm getting almost double the original amount now and it worked for me and was fortunate enough to be able to sock it away in a tax free account. You never know when your time is up.

Living the dream collecting OAS,CPP,savings,investments and whatever I can get from the government trough. I'm not proud!

A couple pork roasts on the rotisserie that we're doing and the daughter in law is doing potatoes,veggies etc and I believe homemade apple pie/ice cream. Living the dream lol
