Definitely dirty. Probably has more than 16 hours.
Hate seeing a k&n on any atv. Foam or paper only.
Not many left in decent shape. At least in Canada that I've seen.
Why is that? Like I said earlier, I am totally new to atvs

I know the people that have owned it since new. It has will have 16 hrs or very close to it.
I really hope I can sell my sled for what I want. It will be nice to go riding whenever I want and not so weather dependent. I am getting real tired of looking at my sled out in the shed and not being able to go for a ride.

Well the plot kind of thickens. I have a friend in Ontario, the same guy in the banshee story. I told him I was looking at buying a banshee out here in Alberta. He says he has a 2008? Last year of the banshee that he is selling. It is the black and orange one. My favorite colours. Has all kinds of upgrades and bumpers and things. Apparently it was a $12000 machine leaving the dealership. Only has 16 hours on it. Never been touched or rebuilt. Tells me that for $4000 it is mine and he will drive it out west for me as he was planning on driving out in the spring anyways. So now I really need to sell my ditch pickle lol.
-
Well it maybe kind of silly but the main reason I want a banshee is when I was around 10 years old I had a friend who was in his twentys (worked for my dad so not that creepy lol) and he had a banshee. He took me for a ride and I have never been so scared in my life. Ever since that moment I have wanted one. Also the buddy I would be buying one off of builds and mods them in his spare time and he is currently building a nice stock one right now to sell and said he would give me a bit of a deal from what he needs sells them at.
-
Ya I figured. My plan is to try and get 3500 out of the M8 and buy a banshee of a friend.
-
Edit: nevermind. Turns out they wanted me to put $2000 plus my sled. No deal.
Well I am trying to sell/trade my 09 M8 for an atv. I know next to nothing about ATVs. I have a person offering a 2012 can am xmr 800.
This is the info she sent in the texts

A lightening strike would take out the pump , not the well. How long has the property had a house on it?
I believe a minimum of 10 years, maybe more.

I will be shocking my well but they told me I had to wait till the weather was consistently above 0*c

If the well sat dormant for any time or does not get enough water turnover you will need to shock them from time to time. That will cure the taste and smell issues.
I personally hate hate hate soft water. I'd rather have stains than soft water
It wouldn't bother me so much either but it slows the taps and will eventually ruin the washing machine. We don't have a dishwasher but would like one so another reason to put a water softener in

cant you just toss in a Menerds /home depot $450 special run it 6 to 8 yrs and slap a new one in . if your water is that bad any way you will be yanking out a high end one and replacing resin in that time any way.
I have put a lot of those in over the yrs and they work just fine
Like this?

According to the realtor I used when I bought the house, my pump is 240 feet down.
The store sells the old mechanical timer ones as they never break apparently.
Found a brine tank and resin? Tank for 150 but needs a metering valve. called the store and the metering valves range from 600-900.

Damn. $1600? That's a chunk.
Yes, that is why I started looking at used ones
-
Just checked and a 44lbs bag is 6.50 cad
-
Ya. The smell is bacteria and I need to pump some chemicals into it. I just called the store back and they said the softener was an econominder and required salt. They want $1600 cad for it and I install it myself.

I buy bottles as my well water is terrible. I also have a sediment filter and use 20 micron filters.
