What kind of RPMs are you getting full speed? Your clutch is probably need service. I don’t know what Max horsepower RPMs a dragon runs at, but that’s the first place to start looking.

Clutches were just done. I have a new primary spring with new weights/bushings. I also put in a new secondary spring with the washer upgrade.  I am hitting 7950 rpms. The manual says: Operating RPM (+0 / -300) 8250

@Tomas.f you add Official to the title we could pin this thread for the season. :dunno:I

    Done.

and if you are in a "pinning" mood, maybe you could pin the pet photo thread. I can never seem to find it in the searches and with the current restrictions on searching, it is a very time consuming and fruitless endeavor lmao

  3. So my factory primary spring is 120/340 but I have a 150/340 spring installed. I am running a new factory spec 140/240 secondary spring.

My current elevation is around 2,200ft and Polaris calls for a 64g weight but I am running a 62g weight (brand new) which Polaris calls for in the 4000-6000ft range.

Stock gearing is 22t top and 40t bottom. I am running a 21t top and 40t bottom. According to Polaris' gearing chart, I should be good for 93mph with my current setup.

The factory track is a 136"x 1.25", I am running a 144" x 2". I cannot see the track being the issue as I am almost positive the 155" RMK 700 will do over 67 mph.

Good for you Tomas! What is going on with the sled? Does it feel like its running fine? RPM's off? Is there alot of drag when you let off the throttle? Does it accelerate fine but wont top out higher?

It seems to run awesome but wont pull above 67mph. Max rpms are 7950.  I have been struggling with this issue for two years now.

I will attach my go pro to it and see if that helps show what it is doing or lack there of.

Because looking at assault 800's for sale is not helping lol

  5. Well, I got my first ride in!!

I put on a few miles going through the fields and ditches close to home.

My suspension is fantastic, thank you very much @AKIQPilot!!!!!!

    Sled is handling sharp.

But I am still limited to 67mph (verified by my phone's GPS). It is tearing me up. I don't know what else to do with it. It fucking sucks. If I didn't like the sled as a whole so much I would let my other half ride it and I would take her crossfire 600. It at least does 90mph. I am fucking choked.

How much does a new clutch cost?  If the weights are junk, rollers need a rebuild, and you are worried about the spider then you might as well just replace it.  Maybe find a used one if it isn't a sled that gets used much.

The parts to rebuild the clutch are a couple hundred and then another couple hundred for all the tools required.  Might as well just buy a new clutch for that.

My old one will stay in the truck as a spare.

Is there any reason one couldn't buy a clutch that had e-start kind just pull off the ring gear? Or will he need to find a clutch that is a non e-start only?

He is finding used clutches for around $300cad

There is definitely wear on the roller but is it bad enough to rebuild or replace the clutch is another story.  Someone like Ben who is an expert in clutch will be along shortly I'm sure.

This is a Team primary that I junked.  Probably not going to leave me stranded in that condition right away but not long for the world either.

I am worried about the spider where the bushing sits. Because the roller took away some material and I am not sure if I just put in new bushings, it just won't break the new bushing.

Weight pins or bushing worn out?

Probably both lol. They were getting replaced anyways as they need to be 6grams heavier. Was planning on replacing the pins while in there.

But that particular weight had a ton of slop. Way more than the other two. Like almost 3/16" side to side.

    So I have a primary clutch from a 2008 polaris rmk 700. It is a buddy's sled.

I was checking it over and servicing it.

One of the weight bushings was absolutely cooked and the roller for said bushing also has a little problem.

It would appear that the roller disintegrated one one of its bushings and the roller wore into the spider. Like the roller fits into a little recess that it wore into the aluminum.

Should he be looking for a used clutch or can a bushing be put in and it will be ok?

If he needs another clutch, can he get one with a starter gear and just take it off as his is pull start?

Does anyone know what years and engine sizes he can get one off of?

  12. I usually have 2 mugs around 12 then a large Tim's around 6.

I stopped using sugar and use honey and also switched from k cups to drip coffee. Bought this stuff and so far I really like it.

They also sell a bag up here called "Canadian as fuck" with 40% more caffeine. The wife really liked that one.

I drink coffee for something to do. It doesn't give me energy or keep me awake. I can easily drink a large coffee with lots of sugar and go to bed right after.

  13. So far I have only managed to drink a cup of coffee and watched the new Mighty Car Mods episode.

Where I am at it is -11°c (12°f). It is cold and there isn't enough snow to ride. It makes a terrible concoction for trying to find ambition to get stuff done lol.

No, you the American people let yourselves down. If guys didn't vote for these corrupt, blood sucking parasites, you wouldn't be in this predicament. You have the power to vote your self out of these issues. It doesn't need to be a one party system. But, it would appear the general public (Canada included), are a bunch of mindless lazy idiots and we would rather put our hands on a hot stove every election and bitch about how much it hurts instead of doing something different.

You guys can’t even make your own cars. It’s sad.

We don't have our own car manufacturers because the country decided to be more open to manufacturing everyone else's cars instead. That is US and Japanese based vehicles.

  16. On the shipping thing, I shipped 8 snowmobile shocks in one box and sent them from Alberta to Alaska for servicing. I am pretty sure it was $65CAD. The return trip in the exact same box was $128USD/$170CAD. it was bullshit. But other than the US postal service being dickheads, there were zero issues.

Very interesting video. Especially considering I've been using StarTron for a long time now

I have been using seafoam for years lol. Not any more lmao. I am lucky and can still get non-ethanol premium which I use religiously so maybe I won't worry about stabilizers from now on.
