  1. Be careful on mixing battery chemistries on charging.  Lead acid and lithium and etc don’t mix on the same charger.  I’ve gone down a rabbit hole in the past and need to go back down it for a next year project.  But lifepo4 batteries are cheap if you buy from China. You can build your own charging station with big capacities pretty cost effectively if you explore and expand your knowledge for diy.  Even Chinese batteries bought from US distributors are pretty cheap but even cheaper if you hit up Amy Wan on Alibaba.

What he’s saying is the American auto industry doesn’t have the capacity to keep up with demand if the supply chain from Mexico is interrupted. What are they supposed to do, pull parts out of their asses? Why is that so difficult for you to grasp?

The powerstroke diesel is built in Mexico, imported into the US and installed in a truck.  The engine blocks of a ram Cummins are poured in China, sent to the US to be assembled and then sent to Mexico to be put I. A Ram.  Tariffs are going to throw a humongous wrench in the supply chain if Trump is a man of his word and follows through.  The list goes on and on how foreign our American manufacturers really are.

I expect Trump to tariff the shit out of these types of things and remove my tax on overtime if he is a man of his word.  It’s why I voted for him.

He campaigned on saving the auto industry but you say he’s gonna kill it. You keep claiming it’s going to die one way or another, this is just your most recent. And you always find a way to weave Elon / Tesla in. Whatever…

It’s going to be pretty bad if he follows through for the legacy manufactures.  They are pretty dependent on Mexico and third world countries for their products that go into building a vehicle.  The amount of foreign shit in an “American” auto is staggering.

  4. Nearly a dozen new projects are being planned as Tesla prepares for a massive expansion of Giga Texas in Austin.

According to recent filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Tesla has submitted 10 filings for construction at the electric vehicle plant that would add more than 5 million square feet.

While it's unclear what the expansion entails, the fillings show project names including Body in White, Castings, Cell 1 and Cell 2, Drive Unit, Paint, Plastics and Stamping.

The start date for the expansion was Oct. 25 with projected completion to be Dec. 31, 2025.

They just shut down the plant making the Lightning. But if we listened to you the “Legacy” manus would’ve died off already negative Nancy

I’m just saying if Trump will follow through on his word this is going to be a major fucking to the big 3.  Gas powered vehicles.  I’m good if he tariffs the shit out of Mexican and global imports if he follows through and removes taxes on overtime.

Elon will probably be the biggest benefactor of Trump’s tariffs

This is going to hit our auto manufacturers hard.  Can you imagine the cost of a Ram pickup made in Mexico with 100% tariff.  Popular models like the Ford Maverick would go from like $25,000-35000 new to 50-70k new.

Elon would rake it in though as the model 3 would likely be the cheapest car you could buy in the US.  You know Elon is pumping Trump ego getting him confident in Tariffs as a good thing.

Rs got to 218 yesterday.  Still a few races to call but the Rs hold a tiny majority.  Not enough of one though.  Senate BS races where Lake, Hovde, etc lost also hurt the Senate as you still have Romney, Collins, and Murkowski technically as "Republicans" but likely to side with the uniparty every chance they get.

Romney is out.  He didn’t run for reelection and is retiring.  Curtis won his seat

Yup, I was talking about the Maverick. I know they’re made in Mexico and will likely get a tariff as they should like you said. I was just responding to your statement that legacy manufacturers won’t make cheap affordable cars anymore. The Maverick was that car under 20k when it came out tons of demand for them ford has since screwed that up too now I think they start at over 25k for base 2025

And like I said legacy manufactures have no interest in make cheap cars in the US.  They proved before that is a losing thing.  Tariffs are going to drive the price up on vehicles bigly if Trump follows through on tariff plans

Ford made a cheap “truck” tons of people wanted including myself so many people wanted them they couldn’t even keep up with demand. So many people wanted them all the other manufacturers started designing cheap trucks again.

If you are talking the Maverik….  They will be tariffed by Trump as they are 100% Mexican made.  He made promises to tariff import autos and products.  They should be tariffed imo if you want to make America great again and lower taxes which will be paid for by tariffs

Let’s see what happens now if they aren’t forced in a specific direction from the government. Times are changing

They are and will be forced….  Say Chevy trax.  Cheapest gm vehicle at about $22k. 100% foreign built.  Add around 20-100% import tariff from Trump and you are looking at 30k+.  They build that cheap model here it will be still a 30k plus vehicle.

tariffs on imports will pretty much force everybody into more expensive vehicles.

Lets get back to affordable cars that people actually want

Our legacy manufactures aren’t going to make those.  They gave up on those long time ago.  I don’t think they make any affordable cars cause they couldn’t make money on them.   Hell Honda civics have a starting price of $25k

They get rid of the tax credit it probably won’t hurt Tesla, the startups, and such.  Going to kill the legacy automakers though.  Going to take massive amounts of money to meet all the provisions of the IRA to meet the requirements for the limited amount of consumers that can take advantage of the provision.  Teslas cheapest model doesn’t even qualify for the tax credit and the upcoming robotaxi I think Tesla can make it cheaper and offer them for sale cheaper without the credit due to sourcing requirements and expenses to track all that in the IRA.  Its surprising how few EV’s actually qualify for the ever getting stricter requirements of the IRA provisions.

there will be some lengthy battles on the mpg requirements and California’s ability to set its own emission requirements.  That is baked into the clean air act which will need to be repealed if Trump wants to remove California’s ability to set its own clean air requirements.  83% of of Trumps last term battles with California Trump lost in the courts so not much will change in California’s controls on setting their own standards.

The VP reportedly blew up $20 million on the concerts and now the staff and vendors fear they will not be paid for their services as the reports of the campaign being in debt emerge.

The defeated campaign’s members revealed to The Post that the concerts had emptied the coffers of the Democratic campaign. This was hinted at earlier as well when they cancelled one performance by ’90s alt-rock goddess Alanis Morissette to save some bucks, as reported by The New York Post.

The concert eve featured performances by artists such as Bon Jovi in Detroit, Christina Aguilera in Las Vegas, Katy Perry in Pittsburgh and Lady Gaga in Philadelphia. For the eighth concert, 2Chainz joined Harris in Atlanta, three days prior to the election day, on November 2.

According to reports by Politico on Thursday, despite raising a huge amount during the 107-day-long campaign, the Harris campaign ended up at least $20 million in debt. Donation pages are still active, aiming to generate funds post-election to help cover the deficit.

While important, none of that will jump start the economy. Priority #1 needs to be the economy. Cutting regulations and executive orders Biden placed on industry and oil should come before anything. He needs to put more money in the pockets of people. That’s the mandate he was elected to do.

My economy is good never been bad.  Each year has been better and better since getting out of highschool in 1995.  Now no tax on OT would boost the economy bigly

Trump better work on getting the economy back up and running or he’ll be another Grover Cleveland. He doesn’t have a lot of time. Mid terms are essentially right around the corner.

First thing I would like to see is the Bush’s Justices retire and Trump fill those 3 positions in the first year with some young blood.  Maybe appoint kavanaugh or Barrett to the chief justice position.  Should have a substantial senate lead to make the process to replace the 3 old bush’s judges on the court fairly quick and simple.  Then start working on the 3025 tax cut expiration and get the no tax on over time hammered out and maybe a tax bracket reduction/cut.  Besides those 2 things I don’t care what else or give 2 shits on anything else he accomplished or promised.
