The question is will this be like the swine flu or will it be something else?
Had a long discussion about this in the shop today.
If this becomes a big thing this summer, hold on to your wallets. We are expecting it'll not only hit dairy, but beef too.

My bad, I only knew of motorcycle. Totally insane.
Not sure if they still do it, they used to do a kart race called the Manx Grand Prix. It was wild too. Racing 125 shifters and 250 super karts through the streets of Peel.

For every day use on the Jesus Clips, I spent the big bucks and bought a set of Facom pliers with changeable tips. $140.
https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/04571246
I also have a few sets of the Channellocks (Lange is the same in orange) with the changeable tips. Like $25 a set. Worth it either way you go.
Facom and Channellocks tips are interchangeable.
For ripping Team secondaries and larger stuff apart, I bought the Klutch brand from Northern Tool and ground the tips down to fit. The Facom and Channellocks just don't have the rigidity to take those apart.

You'd think the team(s) that builds cars for those two teams would step up and say "we'll hook the guy up, but we may need to call in a favor or two sometime."

Maybe a little bit more then I was planning on spending on a used bike, but I'm considering this one if the seller will work on the price a bit.
Anyone know the reason for the Push ACS3 Coil "upgrade" to the fork?

I’ve replaced mine with a knock off and so far so good, 2 years ago
Unfortunately it’s no longer listed on Amazon or I’d link it
We tried 2 different "brands" from the jungle website and both failed in short order.

Didn't think of that. I'll have to check it out.

Good to know. Probably going to throw the $25 at the Amazon adapters.

Dyson's prices are horrible and as I've been reading, their battery life sucks on the replacements.

Didn't realize it got fucked. Lots of good memories from there.
If it wasn't for Donny Schatz's dad and some other dedicated locals, Fargo wouldn't have a track anymore.
They shortened it from 1/2 mile to 3/8 and switched from WISSOTA to IMCA.

Can’t you just buy a knockoff direct fit?
The original made it maybe 2 years, the 2 knock-off replacements haven't even made it 4 months each.

Not sure I can trust a report that says the German cars cost more then a Land Rover for maintenance costs.
I mean, maybe the Land Rovers were eliminated from the report since there are none on the road that are 6+ years old. They are long dead and mechanically totaled by then.

Anyone here try one of the battery adapters to run a power tool battery on their dead Dyson sucky sucky wand?
I'm not buying this thing another replacement battery, so I'm thinking the cRyobi one.

I have found a way to finance riding next season.
Bet I have a gallon ice cream pail full of these, if not 2 of them.

We HAD a good County owned 1/3 mile dirt track and at one time had the highest IMCA modified car count in Wisconsin. One of our snowmobile club members did all the track prep. The track was wide and on a normal night had 2-3 good lanes with good racing. The problem was the track promoters and and county Executive did not got alone at all. When the contract for renewal came up it became very personal and unprofessional between both parties. In the end the RFP was written by the County that the promoter or anybody else could meet the requirements or rent. The County signed a contract with Lifefeast and bulldozed the track to build a stage.
Now the County Executive is gone, the stage is used once a year and Lifefeast wants out of their contract. Was a shame that they couldn't work together.
Sounds like the guy that ran the fair on Fargo.
I swear fair boards bring him in to get rid of race tracks. There was no way in hell that track was going to exist while he was there.
He did it to another fair down in Kansas or someplace like that in the last year or so.
Fargo got the track back and going thanks to a lot of dedicated locals, but shortened it from a big half miler. Good track too.

From what I’ve seen on pretty much all cats is initial run after setup the rotor will rattle a little bit. Grab the brake a couple times and it seats on the shaft where it wants to be and its fine from then on
Maybe it is just an issue with all the 8000 and 9000 riders who never really use the brake since they ride at like 20mph anyway.

How do you get chatter from a brake rotor at idle?
As in loose tolerancing?
I get chatter (pulsing) on the scallops rotors out trail riding, but that is all I've really noticed.

Geometry is more important than year, I could care less how old something is
I went from a Trek Session DH bike to a Cannondale XC bike of somekind to nothing.
I think anything semi-modern is a big improvement from either of those for riding in western MN.

Terrible time of year right now to buy. Bought my wives 5010 in October a couple years back. Few years old, 30% of new price. Mine was 1 year old at 50%. Depending on where in the cities I'd be glad to look at something for you. Can't tell fit obviously, but mechanically can check it out. Covid made things nuts but last fall there were a ton of deals. Almost upgraded my sons bike. Probably need to buy him a large here pretty quick as well as he is 14 and 5'10 so it won't be long that the medium isn't going to work.
Found a Rocky Mountain I might try to make time to go look at tomorrow. Will probably be too wet to be in the fields.
Don't have a ton of requirements.
Fox fork and/or shock, Shimano 1x12, slacker headtube angle, modernish frame (2020 or newer ideal), sub-$2500. Seems like it would be easy(ish) to find, but not really.

on the bright side you won't have to ask Facebook how to get it to do wheelies.
that deserves a GGB mountain can as well. ask mom for the credit card.
To hell with the GGB stuff, he needs himself a Sno-Stuff Stumble Pack

Does Argo assemble their own ATV's and whatnot? You'd think if they don't Cat could be a good acquisition for them to move that in house.

Teslas seem to be everywhere now. I see a few Rivians, not as many as Deephaven would in his neighborhood. Don't think I've ever seen a Lucid.
The Audi and BMW leasee crowd has flocked over to Teslas. I am uninterested in owning a Tesla of any variety.
1 hour ago, Deephaven said:Saw three today including a sapphire. Our elementary school 10 years ago was all Volvo XC90's, then Range Rovers, now it is dominantly Rivian's. Few Bentleys, Lambos as well. My son loves the chrome Urus, wants one bad, lol.
There were 2 Urus's floating around Hood Cloud when we were there. A pearl white one and a lighter blue one. I thought they were neat at first, but now they are kind of meh. I'd rather have one of the Rambo Lambos that live a sad life in this state.

Tesla Boy at work tried to lemon law his like 4 times before they pretty much banned him from the dealer/service center?
He still talks with a couple of the younger engineers here. That kid has issues.

Cat ran the early order program twice and extended it. Imo people are tired of their dog and pony show they have been pulling for the last few years and not producing. When it finally got into the consumers hand and people quit listening to what demo riders who never buy new sled and social media influencers say they caught on. Killed sales. The catalyst is a good sled but it’s not what it was made out to be a year ago. A year ago the 600 was wiping the door on any 850 and it didn’t, it was on par with any 600. Basically took the wind out of their sails.
Wish they'd just sell to Argo, take the L on the books, and put us all out of this misery.

Textron to cut more jobs
in HCS General Forum
Posted
I'm just a employee number to my HR and a line on an analyst's spreadsheet that costs too much and needs to be outsourced to a best cost manufacturing site.
I'm pretty burned out of the big corporate life, and to be frank, I'm holding my employer hostage for every last cent I can squeeze out of them before they "release me from employment." My job has been posted for 2 years and they can't keep anyone in it for more then a month or two.
No worries, they are just getting me some help for my workload.
Thursday I was told I had to cut 3% of the workforce on my site, but 2/3rd of those cuts come from departments that report to me, and we don't have the heads to cut. We are struggling as it is.
Oh well. 40 hour work weeks and when 4 hits, I'm done. No more late night or early morning Webex's, no more working meetings while I shovel a quick meal down the gullet.
And corporate America wonders why moral is at an all time low...
The last job didn't turn out much different in the end.
