  1. It's happening here too.

The restrictions are crippling small business, while the big box stores get a pass.

If restrictions were going to work (that means compliance from people that have not seen a benefit from lock downs) ..It has not worked, nor will it.

Even here, in easy goes it, compliant until you push us Canadians, then we push back, hard as fuck if warranted...many are pissed.

We were told lock downs would end the virus problem. It did not.

So you wanna try more lock downs? I think not.

Backread in this thread. You'll see why I posted what I did.

    LOL

    I understand...and understood

It is tripping the breaker, or blowing the fuse.

    Put a bigger one in...

Like WTF, that is not what should be done, ever, by anyone...

People some times ask me if I'm an electrician, I politely ask them not to insult me.

My dad is an electrical and mechanical engineer. Schooled, certified.

He can build a rocket ship on a napkin....give him a set of tools and ask him to assemble said rocket from his plans and he's fucked.

    Put a bigger breaker.

I read on the net it'll fix it.

    LOL.

Breakers protect wire.  I see stuff that makes me shiver. They do get weak over time. Easiest way to check is load it up, measure amp draw, infrared thermometer the breaker. It should not get much hotter than the environment it's in. If the draw is within %80 of the breaker and you see temps of 110F or more anywhere on the breaker, she's toast.

I used to build boilers, dealt with thermolec. The up scaling of electric heat on demand used to be done with step controllers, with sensors that took outside temps, output temps and heat gain algorithms.

It ain't rocket appliances if you understand how it all works.

There is an 30 kw Make Up Air unit for a water treatment plant, SCR heating to maintain discharge air temperature I build, being tested at 600V under full load. We have since gone from the two speed motors with overloads to VFD's, controlled by the building PLC.

The last ones, and maybe the last ever were for Toronto Community Housing. They needed an MAU to compensate for the air draw they had in the laundry room. As more and more dryers get used, my MAU ramps up the blower with a VFDIMG_0449.thumb.JPG.4ea68fe5d79a8731bd211711b21265a1.JPG and SCR heating to keep the room 70F with neutral air pressure. My best work ever IMO....too bad me and my dad are getting too old for this stuff. Our competition builds 3 year junk, we build 20 year units.

  4. Sitting on the sideline I see it this way.

I think I understand how this will go down. I fully agree with the states that have issue with the other states method of voting, taking it to the supreme court.

It may be unconstitutional...however SCOTUS has to weigh the questionable  states voting  methods vs the throwing out of hundreds of thousands of peoples votes, who were under the belief their votes would be valid.

IMO, scotus will rule the votes are valid, they have to in a fair election,...slap the pee pee of the states that did wiggy shit.

government is going to give them relief from any liability over the rushed virus.

I'd call shennigans on that release of liability,  but guberment did want a vaccine at warp speed. Corners may have been cut.

I got a bunch of the  vaccines, five  I think, in 2017.  Had too. The exercise was in an area that drew red flags, and the Forces went through members docs. Found out I had no record of vaccinations. I'd had them, but it was mandatory to have records of such.

    No big deal.

Obviously not an anti-vaxxer...but I'm a gonna wait until a bunch of others take it and get it late in the game.

My small town hospital gets it the end of next week. The Trump vaccine. I'm sure the Biden vaccine will release Jan. 21.

Call it what you want. Trump did fast track it, work on it and we will buy it and called it warp speed. As much a dick as Trump is, he did speed up the process. Good on him.

Yes but to say there is no violence around pot is inaccurate.  Actually being illegal isn't the only driving force.   Its illegal to take off my diesels CC and DEF injection but there aren't people getting killed over it.

Better get with the program. Pot don't hurt nobody. Diesels pumping out crap does, Most new diesel engines come with many emission control systems,  Allot of our trucks get taken out of service because the emission system has a fault. It's a hard stop, take the truck off the road. Some did not, just ignored the warning...cost tens of thousands of dollars fucking up the emission system.

Ted Bundy was a good speaker too. What point is it you're trying to convey?

Come on man!! Even though I think 'Merica is better of with a Republican administration, Obama is Mensa, where Trump is short bus.

my 3.5 eco is significantly worse than my 14 chevy 5.3 was even with the 10 speed trans.  Shockingly so.   But with the 36 gallon tank I only need to fill it every other week which is kinda nice.  Will be interesting to see how it does when i take it to move my daughter back in in January with 500 miles each way on the highway.  I'm guessing it won't improve all that much from the 15 and change it's getting now.

Got 2 chevy express 1500 AWD vans. 5.3L. They barely get better MPG than the 6L  loaded with 1500 lbs of tools and parts. Oh well.  The AWD vans are light years more capable than my '15 GMC long box crew 4X4.  It's astounding. I love 4x4 trucks, my long box crew is awesome at towing, even on snowy roads with a long, heavy trailer...but the AWD vans are like a rally car, with 325 HP. and 5000 lbs of well distributed weight. I use them to climb what are roads beside ski hills. I'd take the van over the pickup all day long.

If government did less the past four years - why did spending and deficits explode?

No different here. Spending and deficits are so easy to do, once in power..it can make the masses that don't fully understand, compliant and happy.

Sooner or later we have to pay it back. 4 year terms means that can can be kicked down the road. Been that way since I got a job and started paying taxes.

Those guys and gals would take a bullet for the President, Democrat or Republican.  They are exposed to all kind of viruses and bacteria all over the world so the President can travel.  I'm pretty sure they can handle covid.

They all signed up for anything, up to and including running into certain death, even when your commanding officer is an idiot. Might be some discussion amongst them, as to this is fucked/we are boned but the net result is the same, you go, do your duty.

  12. I stopped putting ethanol gas in all my small engines a few years ago. Was sick of pulling and rebuilding carbs every year. I has my fuel supplier drop me a 400 gallon tank at my house., filled only with premium. Even my vans and trucks get the premium gas 9 times out of ten. Not to mention the convenience of filling up at home.

  13. That is down right scary, coming from your best friend and allie.

I give a fuck about a free and fair election for you guys..and those dumb cunts don’t quite seem to get if.

Looks like isis trying to suppress the voter in Afghanistan.

I’m gonna have wings and popcorn Tuesday night, watch your election.

Either way, roughly 50% of you are going to look like those woke, triggered babies that showed up when Hillary lost 4 years ago.

I’ve  never seen your country as divided as it is right now, hope you find some way to make it better.

Doug ford has went full fascist retard. But blame Toronto. His popularity ratings skyrocketed with the low IQ left the more he cracked down, so he just kept doubling down until we got to this point

    ?

i think Doug has done as good.a job as possible? Blame Toronto, yes..Peel and Ottawa too...the irresponsibility  of some in those regions has allowed the spread to go exponential...yet Doug didn’t hammer the rest of the province with restrictions.

A very thought out, measured response.

    Go Doug!!!

  15. Heard a news report today, on a California internet radio station,  that some twats thought it was a good idea to set up their  own ballot drop boxes on church properties to make voting easier?

Being California, they mentioned it was likely Republican based religious churches...still..is that a real thing?  Like lol, what can’t go wrong?

Orange devil said mail in voting  bad!!

  16. Masks, washing hands, social distancing works to control the spread. Those are simple facts.

    The main issues are IMO.

People are tired of not being able to get together with others, in what was before covid, Most social gatherings involve booze..I may have done some things that could be described as reckless, lecherous, and down right dirty while under the influence of the devils soda.

Many businesses will fold very soon if things don't get normalized, That's really bad...but if we don't control the spread it will happen. If not by decree, by people just not going to these businesses for fear of infection.

Kids need to get back to some type of school, normal or not. Not only for their sake, but for parents getting back to work. Busses are as cramped as they were before, because there was no magic pot of buses and drivers... and keeping kids home and learning remotely has been a failure. This was a perfect time to disassemble the current model of school funding, but government has yet to find the testicles to cut funding to the current model and allow parents to use the allotment for home schooling or pods.

LOL, that's probably real. Many mennonites near me and some of the rules they have are quite absurd. One bought a house,, good guy liked working with him...he removed all electrical outlets etc. Barn has a generator to keep the milk cool and run power tools and the welder?

STIHL has earn a good rep no doubt you can't go wrong.

We started buying ECHO backpack blowers to save money, it worked out they perform as well as our STIHL do - ECHO  couple hundred cheaper.

Had  a buddy of mine that worked for Briggs an Stratton,  He told me they could make an engine as good as Honda, but it would be a tough sell, cost almost as much.

Most people already had the thought that Honda was the pinnacle..I've got Honda motors on a generator, a water pump, and a pressure washer...they are all just bulletproof.

If they don't start on the second pull. you've done something wrong.
