Mainly thanks to taxation and government manipulation.
Governments openly decree they want to tax and regulate the industry to it's end, and we are surprised few want to invest in it further?
We elect idiots and expect great things from them.
I submit the general electorate are the bigger idiots.

Not sure nato can even end it now. They don’t have much machinery or artillery left and Ukraine’s forces were the second largest forces in nato
seriously though when is the last time Russia lost a war and when is the last time the US actually won a war
Afghanistan...just like us.

Think there are a few countries training them on the F16 now, us included.
True, there is far fewer of them, but that’s what the Canadian Armed Forces lives on.We could barely muster more trained infantry than Toronto has police officers.
Well trained. Been through it.
Under 10,000.
Better hope, like in a movie, 1 of us can kill 20 of them.
I keep a well stocked armoury, just in case….

New York times article... American officials fear... Can you believe this shit?
American officials say they fear that Ukraine has become casualty averse, one reason it has been cautious about pressing ahead with the counteroffensive. Almost any big push against dug-in Russian defenders protected by minefields would result in huge numbers of losses.
It's why they need air power.
They are not part of NATO, despite what they were promised in the 90's while giving up the nukes.
It's why they'll pry my gun from my cold dead hands.
Promises don't mean shit.

“What I am saying is where is this all going to end? Twenty-five years ago they put a water treatment plant up at Cape Croker. It got ruined because they didn’t maintain it. Now we’ve spent $65 million up there to put hydrants and a new water treatment plant and 75 per cent of those houses, I mean they should be torn down. It’s like, why are we spending $65 million on a water treatment plant up there that’s going to last 20 years because they’re not going to look after it. Right? Just look at their home. I can understand to be poor, but you can be poor and clean,” the recording says before it’s cut off.
Lol, my newly elected mayor..Without looking, take a guess what type of community he’s talking about..
Factially %100 spot on.
Any bets on the protests, uproar and the resignation timeline?

From how you described the man he seems to be too kind and generous to even consider taking another person's life. I don't feel guns could have helped in this situation, nice people usually end up losing when dealing with total peices of shit that have no moral values.
True, I doubt he had much use for firearms.
If I could wave a magic wand and eliminate EVERY gun on the planet I probably would........probably.
Till then my training tells me to keep a well stocked armoury.

If he was allowed so would his attackers, kinda of a silly point don't you think?
3 guns > 1 gun
The threat alone is enough to deter sometimes.
If the restaurant had a firearm, even in a locked drawer, the nephew may have had the chance to obtain it, and intervene during the altercation.
No conceal carry or otherwise. I don't think Canadians are responsible enough. Look at how we vote.
In your own home or business it should be available as an option.
It's all speculation though.
The pricks in Chicago got what the deserved.

I'm guessing you're correct on the entitled trash, I'm sure their arrests will generate a team of defense lawyers (leeches) . Just fucking disgusting the entire scenario
Nothing short of a firing squad is what they deserve.
There are times I wish the legal system could run fast and lose, on a suspect and put them behind bars.
There are ways to speed things up, make it cheaper, but I’m ok we take the time, and money to ensure a man’s guilt or innocence.
That shit can not be reversed .

I hope you’re right, but my years of experience say no
3 of them.
Get seated at a restaurant, get served.
Wait until after closing, decently dressed, get into an argument about them leaving and paying.
Everything says this guy would have fed them if they needed food, asked and could not pay.
Thats not druggies, IMO.
