  1. Hey guys,

I'm tearing down a house in Aurora and will be ripping out some nice sliders/doors. Wondering if anyone wants them for a cabin, they have screens on them.

If anyone would like them, you can have em for free if you remove them. There's obviously more windows in the house but I think they are original.

    Main Floor

    2 @ 45x37

    1 @ 30x25

    2 @ 54x37

    1 @ 28x37

There is a lager 117x66 window in the front, but it is an older casement

    Basement Windows

    1 @ 117 x 22?

    2 @ 37x22

    Doors

There is new side and front door, that look to be new within a year, i don't have dimensions of the top of my head though. I'd like a couple bucks for these.

The Alpin (now Quality Inn) in Rouyn is good, O'toole's restaurant attached, you drive thru Can Tire P lot with beer wine n gas. Tons of sleds and covered parking

Forestel in Val D'Or is the go to spot, gas wine beer n SAQ (booze) is in town as is Beric Sport BRP dealer. L'Escale is nice too with limited heated storage. Nothing wrong with the Comfort Inn on the other side of town either with lots of places close by.

Motel Au Senabi in Senneterre, gas etc.. is in town

Eskers in Amos is just up the river with nice restaurant attached. Amosphere is the most popular but I prefer Eskers

Canadianna in Temiscamingue is a great start off spot, late check in, restaurant and bar attached. Order pizza from North Bay and it'll be waiting :) You can also just park at the Esso at the bottom of the hill. You can leave your keys and if you have a break down they can usually come up with a driver for you. They usually have passes there or the Tem Rose restaurant in town.

For trails, they're all good. The run across the top on 93 is excellent, silly lookin little local trails on the map around La Sarre are excellent and any of 307, 309, 313 north of Val d'Or are great, don't hesitate to loop up in down for either Val d'Or or Amos. Louvricourt is a good fuel n gas stop, the 83 North to Senneterre is smokin and the 386 down thru the Vendrye Park miight just be the best trail on the planet, huge jumps at the top and stoopid fast on the bottom. Gas in Kitsisakik (aka Kichiswiki) is good.

    Giddy Up

    Tink,

I really appreciate it, so you think my best bet is to head to Val D'or from KL on Saturday Morning and then back Sunday? How long one way am I looking at?

Why not plan a bit longer stay instead....head up to Matagami, great area and trails.

Val-d'or will likely be the place with the most city life, if that is your thing.

Unfortunately time off is very hard to come by.

Amos and back if you want bigger days. Rouyn and back if you want to shorten it up.

Whats AMOS like? How long do you think that ride is?

  5. Hi all, planning a Quebec Trip, starting in Kirkland Lake.

I booked the super 8. Can anyone suggest a good trip and a place to stay in Quebec? I will be arriving in KL Friday night, and I want to be back to KL Sunday night so I can leave Monday Morning. I''m also open to the idea of coming back to KL satuday evening.

  6. So there is only one place in my area that is allowed to sell me the parts - Appliance Repair Services. I have to pay for supply and install, even though the washing machine is already apart and the drain pump out. I'm waiting on a quote for that. My dad wants to just throw both the dyer and washer out but I'd like to try to save them.

Theres a good chance you will find a cheap washer and dryer on here shortly.

LG washer parts can only be purchasd by a LG auth service center . And of course because of that they charge everyone the list price . So AP and Reliable do not carry them .

but Puzzler is the closest , Caladonia rd Reliable , is right next to LG servicer Elite Appliance . So call them with the model and serial .

or first take the pump apart , and check to see if it's jammed, most times it is .

I'm going to try reliable, I have heard Marcone supplies "supco."

There is The Appliance Shack in Barrie 7 Anne St. I bought a pump for an ol top load Kenmore from them a few month ago.

LG is a whole new ballgame with replacement parts since sears went under.

I would bring them out of the water if your lake gets pretty rough, otherwise the drive on/off ports are real convenient.

I use the Shoreport's.  My marina has the dock mounted ones and I believe they made it themselves.  Seems to be more work than they are worth.

Was looking at those, would big waves not pull the doos right off?

  10. Was thinking of making my own PWC lift/dock. I would prefer something that brings them up on shore but a lift may be just as nice. I was thinking of just investing in a couple of those dock mounted lifts but they look somewhat tacky.
