Why govern the car ...... Take a smarter approach from the land that invented the super highway . The Autobahn has a variable speed limit, ... traffic conditions, weather, , accidents..... It's all constantly being scanned... over head signs warn drivers of problems & adjust speed limits to safety adjust for changes.

They have to be careful, if they squished or suffocated him, it could be a civil rights violation and murder charges against them... 😂

Wow .. how original.  Diesel / Electric has been used for ages...

BMW I8 used 4 electric motors, regenerative braking, all wheel drive, a small turbo charged engine and s battery pack ..It was a maintenance nightmare 

Stomp the accelerator, the car would pull everything the battery pack had and instantly the gasoline engine would start to generate more power.    .   . The car accelerated at it's  maximum capacity.

Hybrids, and diesel electric is nothing new.  Wow Dodge is jumping in the band wagon...

I'll stick with my dumb diesel car and Range Rovers.....

Yes we were poor.... I had to sleep on a bunk in the  crew quarters on our Hatteras Motor Yacht.... And on bad days we didn't have air conditioning  . . .  I washed the windows, sides and decks at least weekly....

We were so poor I was allowed only one tank of gasoline per day for my Boston Whaler....

The wealthy kids had all the fuel they could burn ...sucks to have suffered as a kid.

I have Redline Synthetic fluid for tranny, rear differential.....

Know older stuff used gear oil + later went to a 50/50 with ATF fluid.

Costs aren't much as fluid is seldomly changed out.  

Having plenty of Synthetic ATF fluid on the shelf I'd run it...

If buying new fluids..  just a synthetic none detergent fluid qualified for transfer case use 

Wouldn't over think it... Just lubricating a chain that's not moving & roller bearings

As unpopular as it may seem..  Robert Frost spoke it all too well " Good fences make good neighbors". ....

Embrace lots of fences , flagging and poles on the sensitive areas offering access to critically tempting forbidden properties.....

This may be a god send and cheaper than reroutes or losing trails.
