  1. Unfortunately, JERRY 976 .... Has seen the truth about alot of the places that serve the snowmobile community

most establishments were started in  nothing buildings built on a shoe string budget  . . Expanding as business got bigger...

Air Condition systems don't  burn buildings down....cold weather pushes old fireplaces, stoves furnaces...old overloaded electrical systems...that dirty kitchen vent system that doesn't have a cleaning budget....

Reality is kitchens are a major fire hazard.... Mega Yachts burn from galley fires..... Just reality, nothing sinister

  2. New sled is dependent on location of new home....Went looking yesterday...local Doo ) Lynx Dealership  - dealer sent everything back to BRP....

Comments from BRP rep four more dealers in his area sent their inventory back + dropped the sled 🛷 line 😞....

  3. Marine plywood is pricey... IF you an even find it local...

Epoxy or Smiths CPES are my friends in the shop... Polyester resin on a soft budget...

Tamarack wood was used in wet environments before pressure treat...

Thinking Tongue+ Groove Tamarack, Cedar, Epay, possibly Southern Yellow pine pine boards.... Pre treat (paint) with CPES,  Polyester Resin or preferably with Epoxy resin on all surfaces.  Recoat after rebuilding floor.

OEM material s???   I'm 3 hours from nearest builder.. No, idea what's available?

  4. If there are no consequences.... Bad Behavior  will be an acceptable practice...

Execute a person with Bad Behavior, and society will alter their ways to survive...

Me, went to prep school... shirt, tie & jackets....mess up and your on the outside looking in.... couldn't imagine a different life style....

  5. You pay for bragging rights... Status symbols.....

The companies always made their $$$$$ on the higher end models... And dumped them at the end of the season

It's free enterprise in a crappy snow year...can only wish them + the snowmobile community the best

  6. Have an aircraft epoxy floor... It can be damaged....

Hardness v. Scratch Resistance would be major question..

Resale might be questionable down the 🛣️ road

Me, solid laminate, safer long term bet.

  7. Economics 101 ... the snowmobile industry has been shrinking for 2 centuries....

Business is Business, either reinvent yourself or you die.... as business gets stale,  the customers look for other avenues.

Erosion...Yes, but nature and horses are far worse.... Reality is we tear up snowmobile trails....and  Rebuild them daily with a groomer... We should know the smoothest best prepped road bed makes the best lasting trail

So, we go from grooming too grading dirt paths, making woods roads out of stone, crushed concrete, shredded tires....Yes, the infrastructure needs more permanent work, but it's doable.

Snowmobiling in New England is being decimated for costs, & lack of snow....it's not 1967 and we can't ride out the back yard.  Your " local" snowmobile dealer has left long ago.

For the $$$$ I'd like an air conditioned side X side for more utility.  Maybe some company will build a fast diesel powered SXS.

However, I do believe once snowmobile trails are open for the season, wheeled vehicles should be prohibated.
