    It's a fact.

If you read the original Carbuzz link, it says April fools right at the top.

If you read your last link, it also says it.

I hope it's an April fools joke, but it would suck if it's true.

What about the court system ever been dealt with that ?

Unemployment office ever been there ?

    Ever ship a box ?

Ever seen test scores of public school pupils net to privet school pupils in the same district?

Ever scratch your head on why states or the fed don't build there own roads any more and have it all contracted out ?

Or ask your self why states are giving grooming contracts out to privet party's or clubs and not doing it them self any longer?

Yeah steller examples of how efficient the govenment is at providing service

    I would add...

    Ever work in healthcare?

Science as we know it is simulated.  There is a God in our simulation, just as there is science, DNA and an earth's core.  It's all a computer program.

Notice how we keep getting hit with one supply chain issue after another?  Covid and the borders closed, then the borders opened up and the ports were clogged with empty containers, then the awful war, then China is being overrun with Covid... it's one thing after another.  That's because we're living in a simulation where someone or something is testing various scenarios to see how supply chain issues can be solved.

So basically we're in an elaborate version of "Oregon Trail"?!

  4. I do believe he shut the place down and laid off his employees.  Something about no more stimulus money coming from the feds.  I've heard that he's now in Madison and that he is leasing his building in Minoqua to a pizza restaurant that has no affiliation to him.  I have not verified any of this but that's what I heard.  We rode in Minoqua area about 5 years ago and found several of the establishments less than inviting to us sledders, including one that's supposed to be a top 10 snowmobile destination.  We haven't been back since.

Now, we mostly ride in the Hayward WI area.  Always welcomed into restaurants and bars there, even during Birkie weekend.  I'm from MN and love a lot of WI beers and I'm always looking to try new ones.  However, I will most definitely avoid this self-important asshole's beer and spend my money elsewhere.

  5. Got stuck behind a group of 8 people yesterday.  9 miles later, at 10 mph, the trail finally opened up to a lake.  No room to get around and NO concept of courtesy.

Also, saw 6, yes 6 cars/trucks on the trails, all stuck.  Some right at the entrance to the trail, some several mile up the trail.  One guy stopped us (while riding his fat tire bike) and complained that he was trying to drive to the trail head and a sledder cut him off and swore at him for being on the trail, made him get stuck.  People are clueless.

This shit has always been around though.  It’s fine.  I don’t bother with it.  Social Media has just given a louder voice to repugnance that is otherwise slapped in the face for acting like this in the real world.

Exactly, and I realize that, it's just shocking (to me) how acceptable it is to put it out there so blatantly.  No class anymore.  People don't think twice about what they say whether it's someone famous or the grandma down the block.  People used to be respectful.

I've had that happen in -20 where the entire heat exchanger was covered in ice.  Even with the cold temps the sled was starting to run hot until I was able to get the ice out of there.  Just wait until a big piece drops out and gets stuck between the track and tunnel.

Knock what you can out before stopping for lunch and at the end of the day too.

Happened to me last year.  It was -20 and I thought I broke something.  Sled was making a racket like something REALLY bad happened.  Came to find one chunk of ice the size of a softball, and another the size and basic shape of a football.  Both were bouncing around making a hell of a noise.

Running temp really has nothing to do with the stories about the Riot sleds.

Most of them had a combination of issues that matched up to create the problem.  Their gearing with the screwed up clutching last year put them right in a lean spot on mapping if they were doing trail cruising.  The lean spot was there on ZR sleds, but it didn't happen at trail cruising speeds.

It would have been a real noisy ride if you rode in the lean rpm range.  Those things sounded like the pistons wanted to jump out of the motor if you hung around that range.

BTW, I have a couple with the remap done.  It woke up those things. The old clanging and banging rpm range is gone too.

Some of the half truth and rumor stuff really kills progress.  People get focused on the wrong issue.  The real problems can fly right by while everybody is talking crap.

I did the precision tune on my '20.  Run quality is far and away better than the stock mapping.  It got rid of the 5500-6000 rpm gurgling/clanging problem, but no change in the temp issue.  I put scratchers on during my second ride with it.  Stopped at Hayward Power Sports and they put 3 sets on for the group I was in.  It was COLD and icy, hard packed trails that day.  Usually isn't an issue with good snow, but I really hate fixating on the temp.

  9. My 129 had issues too.  We even tossed around the idea of extending the snow flap.  Seems like there's a lot of snow that goes out the back that could instead get circulated up to the cooler.  However, I've noticed a lot of icing up in the tunnel too, especially with my 137.  It can be frustrating for sure.

Each of my riding buddies with newer Cats have installed scratchers for the exact reason you're experiencing @jdels.  If you don't have scratchers yet, I'd recommend getting a set installed sooner rather than later.  This warmer temps issue has plagued these sleds for several years, and each of them are running typical tracks (1.25") with studs down the middle.  It's amazing how quickly the temperatures will come down once the scratchers are in use.

    Agreed.

I’ve used scratcher for years but, I tested my last SX with a be without just to see.  I quickly ran 160 degree without them.  Dropped the duraflexes down and temps plummeted to 130 almost immediately.  That’s with a 1.75 track and only 4 gallon coolant capacity.  I don’t plan on running scratchers on my current 1.25.  We’ll see.

I've seen similar temps.  I have the cable type on my '20.  They are ok, but they have a memory and lose their down pressure.  My '14 had the spring type that worked great, but they aren't as durable and you need the kind you can back up with.  I broke a couple of those when forgetting about them while backing up.  Honestly, I hate scratchers and having to think about whether they're up or down or smacking against my rails or not.  But they work.  I currently run a '20 ZR8 with the 1.25 track, and I need them often.  If the snow is powdery though, you should be good to go without them.

  12. I've had two Procross 800s and they both were prone to overheating.  My '14 Suzuki and '20 Ctec are both finicky with temps so I put scratchers on them.  Scratchers really do help and have given me peace of mind.  Although I still find myself fixated on the damn temp gauge.  A friend of mine who owns a sled dealer/shop has said for years that manufacturers have built bigger engines but haven't enlarged the heat exchangers to keep up.  I don't know if he's right or not, but that's been my experience.

I know it sucks, but get some scratchers and then you don't have to worry about it.
