not surprising at all.... there's a lot more blue cities with apartment buildings.  think NYC, Chicago, Etc.

wonder how many red-state maga's could afford the rent in the aforementioned?

now let's do states vs. education... guess what color states the least educated are in?   :read:

Now add who couldn’t pay their student loans.

  2. Trying to have her removed because she had an affair seemed a little silly and I'm surprised she didn't just admit it and move on (even though that was a line she used against her competition to get elected) but by digging in and perjuring herself on the witness stand should be her biggest problem, if she's not charged with perjury everyone should question the two tiered justice system. Her credibility is gone.

  3. Most of the talk is about Biden avoiding talking about the border, and Biden talking about the violence problem but ignoring the violence by illegals. Kristi Noem has been making good points.

Wait ….so turbocharging and turbo normalizing are different things?

In sales terms yes, a turbo-normalized engine is a turbo-charged engine limited to 30 inches of manifold pressure, any thing boosted over 30 inches of manifold pressure is no longer considered turbo normalized. So if Doo, (all components the same), increases boost over 30 inches of MP it would no longer be considers turbo-normalized.

I don't disagree but the playbook on this topic is open and everyone knows the game plan.

Roe vs Wade was always considered an emotional decision that wasn't based in law, even Ruth Ginsburg said it wouldn't hold up to scrutiny. If the Democrats are so Hell bent on it becoming federally controlled wouldn't now be a good time to make legislation that supports it? The only thing overturning Roe vs Wade achieved is turning it over to individual States, so why is that such an issue? I'm all for less Federal Government overreach.

  6. Since aviation was brought into the discussion and I debated heavily putting a TAT Whirlwind III on my Bonanza, I'll add their comparisons of turbocharging and turbo-normalizing.

     https://taturbo.com/tnvtc.html

    Turbonormalizing Vs Turbocharging.

    Understanding the important differences

    Let us begin.

TN and TC engines share the following characteristics:

    1. Both involve compressing outside ambient air to make it available as denser air to the engine induction system so that the engine can make more power.
    2. The degree to which the air is compressed is just a matter of design choice when one decides to specify the engine and its ability to make horsepower across the normal range of desired altitudes.
    3. Any time you compress air - you make it hotter. (As discussed below - almost everybody in the early days missed the importance of intercoolers.)
    4. Both TN and TC systems use an exhaust driven turbine to drive a centrifugal compressor - at speeds that may range as high as 120,000 RPM on some units.
    5. Both TN and TC systems can use the same turbo components.

The TN system designer typically starts with a normally aspirated engine and asks the following question:

Well, he's right.  No one has behaved like a pre-pubescent teen in a debate more than him.  Seriously an embarrassment.

One of the problems I've noticed going back to the Obama vs Romney debate is the moderators becoming a 3rd debater, I still remember Maddow interrupting Romney and telling him he's wrong, not letting him finish and just being a bitch, after it came out he was right I really thought it would end her career, but her response was even though she was wrong it served her purpose to change the debate in favor of Obama. (he was loosing bad).

  8. We are going old school once again at next years race! We are having a fan favorite, “greasy triple” class at next years races.
Why? Because who doesn’t like the sound of triple’s racing across a frozen lake?
    Here are the rules:
    600 CC max engine displacement
    2002 and older sleds
Run what you brung, modified sleds are allowed
All racers and sleds must comply with ISR safety rules and riders myst sign up through ISR.
    Entry fee will be $150.00
    Class will race both days
R rated tracks are not required, although a new track is highly recommended since some of you might be in the 120 MPH range.
Race format will depend on how many entries we get
Likely have a $3,000.00 purse for this class
Share away and tag your friends

Nothing to see here. Everything is normal.

It kinda is for Texas, last year was wetter than normal so the fuel loading (grass) is incredible this year.so a big fire season was expected and with 2 days of 50-60 MPH winds there's not much they can do, Mother Nature helped today cool temps and it snowed really helped check it up.

but our Citation SS was still pretty good in the woods for a twelve year old

what's funny thinking back is the amount of miles of trails we had as kids through private property in the woods, fields and often right through neighbors yards.   it was actually kinda rare to go riding on the 'groomed snowmobile trails'.

how we did all that without mountain sleds on small lug short track sleds is just baffling.

    😁

At one time, we had 4 or 5 or 6 really nice little club lake races around here you could run, but club insurance companies started pushing back saying no ISR, no insurance for your event.  The members really weren't interested in putting in the effort, so that has died off.  Really miss it sometimes.

What series?  I don't remember MRP, ISOC, or USCC running anything better then 440's or 600's.

Pretty much.  I think in like 03 didn't they try the 500's for a year?  Or maybe that was like a 1 series 1 year thing?

I remember all the hooting and hollering when Brian and USXC announced they were moving away from the all out race sleds to what we race now.  I'm told Pat and USCC had been working with the manus on that before he passed.

People thought it was going to be the end of XC racing and I'm over here like "Wait, you are going to make me race a EFI, 91 octane, oil injected sled and Cat is even going to kick in engine reverse too?  OH NO!  I don't get to fight those bitches on a -20°F morning or premix 110 and 91 anymore!"

If you aren't going to enforce the rules you have, you might as well not have them.

That isn't a racer's issue, that is a rules enforcement issue.

Ice racing seems to get more entries then the terrain races do, and more in terms of pure number of racers too.

Nope.  Cat would have the 858.  850 max.  Got to draw the line somewhere.

    It was 1990, I had a 500SP I forgot about that one.

    seems too logical...

at least XC still allows MODZ

    :roflcrying:

I forget what year Bunke's brought their SOO sled to Pine lake, everyone was blown away to see an actual Mod sled, the Mod class up till then was always used as a pre-run to get their stock sled ready for Pro-Stock. But now instead of the Pro class it looks like the Sport class is the most important, I wonder if Herf will move down?

Been tried. Back in the fucking 90's. To dangerous.

Back in the 80's it was 56hp racing, 90's they moved to 440's, as the 440's disappeared they went to 600's in the 2000's and finally to EPA compliant 600's.
