Not into party beer tents or swap meets. Well, if the swap meet was ONLY late model-ish sled parts, I might be interested but even then only mildly.

Went to Haydays for a string of years. 6 or 7 maybe? Went into the swap meet area one time on Friday night. Place was packed full of drunk people selling abstract bullshit that they cleaned out of their basement, a bunch of used/beaten to fuck sleds and a shitload of 90’s and 2000’s sled parts. Oh I did have a guy trying to sell me the little charcoal grill and leftover charcoal that he just got do using to cook some food with, so there’s that.

I use to enjoy seeing other vendors and friends that I only ever saw once a year at Haydays. Oh and the occasional visit from Big Fuse and his son Bontz.

I never step foot into the swap area anymore. I toured it a few times when I went the first couple times. Now I if I go I watch the racing and drink beer as I can get anything I need from my local dealer cheaper than at haydays. Personally I think Princeton is a lot better.

Yeah Roger Slime is cool and I still wouldn't mind an RS sled but I can't really see what good he was doing at Arctic Cat besides being the guy that everybody likes.  But it's a business at the end of the day.

And I agree all the haters loved to hate on cat for years and years.  Then they move some old blood out and the same haters think it's the end times?  At least make sense with your jealous hatred.

Also funny how many non cat guys know all these big cat names.  I couldn't tell you one single Polaris employee and I probably couldn't even pronounce one french asshole skidoo employee.  But they know all the cat guys......   Interesting.......

Roger is an amazing person. However he is old now and needed to retire. and let the next generation take over.

Already starting my shopping for this winter.  Been looking for a new OEM seat cover for over a year now.  Country Cat just so happened to have one on clearance.

In other news, Cat parts seem to have jumped in price by about 25% this year.  Need to buy a set of slugs and gaskets to freshen up the top end yet this fall.  Might as well get them here before they are backordered for 6 months.

We had had to raise our prices about 15-20% at work Since January 1. Just did another 2.5% yesterday.

You should buy up all the Arctic Cat crap you can carry, before they finally kill the brand.

Did you get a motorized scooter yet, you cripple.

    :lol2:

No still waiting on the ups guy. If it shows up soon I will be able to go to haydays. Will probably throw my back out riding it through the haydays parking lot lol

Considering that supply issues are out of hand like a MF’er, I’m not betting that there will be a lot of stuff there for sale other than the swap area. Haven’t decided whether I am going or not.

I doubt there will be many deals as well because of that. I know I won’t be going again this year.

I see it as bad on two levels.  The female in charge has no background in sleds.  She's from the aviation side.  The other is that all new tech is developed and tested years in advance.  If the old dogs were let go because there was nothing significant in the hopper it will take years to recover from that.  It's always possible Cat was sitting a boatload of new and improved designs and did not release them but most people knowing their jobs were on the line would have pushed the shit out the door in an attempt to save them.

I have seen this in textron a bunch of times. They put someone like in a side line company until the job they Want them for opens up then transfer them. When I saw her back round I suspect that is what they are doing. If she had had business management background I would not be concerned.  I saw reps for them do nothing then go into the aviation side after 8 months

There is a reason I don't work for Cat.  When S hits the fan in TRF, I'd be moving, working at Digikey, working at WalMart, the county/city/state, or commuting an hour for work.

For Brian & family being established, this is about the perfect situation, IMO.

We'll old Cat people pretty much run the show, and definitely so in TRF for Argo.

My friend said it is so bad he was able to get transferred from trf to St. Cloud.

Hope it works out for just you just don't ask to many questions.  I broke some bones in my hand in 2011 late November.  I come home with a wrist brace and fingers taped to gather.  First thing I get asked is what did the doctor say about snowmobiling. I said he didn't say anthing.  Next question was did you ask?  Answer "Nope"

Stepped in a hole and tore up my ankle. Plus side the dr is super hot. The bad. She said at least 6-8 months before they would consider to give the ok. She said I would have been better off braking it. Go back in 10 days to see if I can get out of the boot and into brace. Will probably need pt and hopefully not surgery.

Seriously, that was a scary thread to read from somebody who had a sled shop and claimed to be a top tuner.  Even a “simple”can deduce why something isn’t coming off and he apparently struggled enough to make him start a thread about it?  Jesus.

That and filling them with oil is very hard threads. I always thought removing 6 screws and opening a door was hard

the 13 was a real gem... I've heard

so, what year did they actually dial in the P/C - seems to be differing opinions from the 15 to the 18

    but Ramstad says...

2014 was when they got them right. The 12 should have been what the 14 is.

A stupid number like 60 years is a dumb reason to put out a new product.  A new product is either ready or it isn't.  I don't give one fuck about an anniversary.  It's one thing if you want a new chassis, fine, but it's dumb to think they should do something extra ordinary for one certain model year just because it's an anniversary.  They should do the most they can every single year.  Some have speculated they rushed out the procross for the 50th, I don't know if that's true but it's plausible and if it's true, well we all know how that went.

I dont think the 12 was rushed out. The 12 was built with the cheapest parts they could possibly find. They did nothing to really change the 14 model year other than put less shitty parts in it and then sold those updated parts at a reduced price to the 2012-2013 owners as update kits.
