180/130 have a new cable/ drive by wire hybrid system.

I like the dbw on my 2019 900.

They caved for pussies that kept complaining about the cable free system  so now they can pull on a physical cable again.  Just stupid in my book.  I have had iTC on three sleds now, two of them my primary rides, for nearly 6 seasons and with zero issues but I have always just ridden a sled.  It could have a twist throttle like my dirt bikes or even a foot peddle like an auto and I would still just ride it while the pussies would all find something to complain about.

A used 1200 with exhaust and clutching and a fuel controller and you're all set for 150 hp, without the turbo bullshit.

I put four seasons on my 16' 1200 in the XS chassis and really liked it but one test ride on the 900T in the G4 chassis and it's better in every way.  I also followed the journey of the Canadian that put over 20K miles on his 19' 900T the first season with zero issues.  The 900T has been proven over and over as a rock solid reliable motor on dirt, asphalt, water and snow.  You can get an NA 1200 to 150 in the way you stated but you cannot get it to 190HP plus as easily and cheaply as you can with the 900T.

  4. Agree $20K US is too expensive for any sled but they will sell.  Too many have been waiting a long time for one to materialize.  The HP is likely 190 in reality so you are getting a factory tuned sled with a warranty but man that's still a lot of dollars sitting there when the snow isn't flying.

  5. Doo's spec sheet HP numbers have always been low since they got burned by them many years ago.  The 150 number is really 160 so the 180 is likely 190 but who cares.

If you need the extra 10 or 15HP of the stock thunderwinder along with the extra 70lbs of extra weight it carries, that feels more like a hundred pounds of difference, just buy the thunderwinder.

I agree that $20K for the Mach is just way too expensive for a sled these days but it will sell.  Will be curious to see what my dealer is discounting them to.  My guess is this year, not much if anything.

  6. Just buy a new Cat that's still the same sled - only slower and even less reliable - than a 2011.

The all new tech from Cat for 2022?

Power steering on the thunder-winder and still trying to convince buyers that the 800 is a 165 class engine...... fucking stick a fork in Cat.  Now we know why there was no snowmageddon last fall.

Would start a thread titled "My thoughts on the 2022 Cat release" but why even bother????

How was the fuel/ oil usage?

I was surprised at how much fuel it drank as it has a 9.5 gallon tank and it needed gas as much as the Poo and Cat riders in the group did.  Not exact numbers but going to guess it was getting around 12-14 but the sled was brand new with only 10 miles on the clock when he picked it up.

That could also have contributed to the oil usage being a bit high as well as it had burned an entire gallon at the 385 mile mark but assume it was in break-in mode so that should improve.  I was just used to my Etec's getting 6-700 miles on a gallon of oil and a solid 18MPG's no matter what.

It can be more about the range that you get from a tank of fuel than actual fuel mileage costs.

This combined with the fact that when you are filling up two or three sleds at every gas stop it matters and why I have all four strokes in the trailer.  Normally those saying suck it up and pay the piper are fueling one sled only and then I agree, it does not matter.

To be fair though I was surprised by the new old tech Doo 600 EFI.  Had one in our group last week and it was needing fuel at the same time as the Cat's and Poo's.

  9. Holy fuck it's amazing how many people still think the answer for this country is a senile old pedophile and an absolutely crazy bitch.  Then defend their position because they didn't care for Trumps tweets and it won't matter anyway yet call everyone else the stupid ones.  Fucking A skippy that is stupid beyond stupid.

Best economy in the last two decades, no fucking wars, the country finally reaching energy independence from the sand fucks and finally a president willing to kick DC politics directly in the nuts if they pull the fucking shit all of these assholes are now right back to.  Highly doubt there will be another candidate to even run again with some actual backbone let alone get elected because "the majority" is weak and triggered over everything.

Read my reply again.  It was meant to help you with your comprehension.  Try not to rely on your ability to read "through" posts and actually read them.  The irony will amaze you.  Here is a hint to assist as I realize you are mentally challenged.  The ironic part is in bold.

You keep going with your fantasy ride there big dog. You got anymore story's to learn us lesser trail riders on how to get by slower riders or how to block faster riders as they try to get by?

Keep working on that reading comprehension when you're not busy cleaning toilets.  Then I will share some more stories.
