  1. Oddly enough Gym's @Gym Ramstud Commodore 64 is also gray.... coincidence? I think not.....
  2. My Cat Alterra 700 is also gray..... I think Cat would have been OK had there been more contrast against the gray colors that Cat was using. At least the Polaris is using more contrast against the gray.
  3. Something you and I can agree on! :-D
  4. I believe Jim @ZR6000RR went to great lengths to defend Cat's primer gray..... I thought it sucked. Now Polaris? WTF.....that color combo still sucks. Fortunately, primer gray isn't the underlying theme for all of their sleds like it was for Cat. At least with the Polaris, you have a choice. Thank god Cat left that color phase behind....
  5. @Crnr2Crnr Maybe he will drop by......text message sent......
  6. @Crnr2Crnr Chatted with @Zambroski this afternoon. Scotty almost makes it sound like he's still trying to put that abomination race sled together. Heck, I'm not even sure if he's ridden very much. Sounds like he is lurking at another "inferior" site....
  7. Holy shit- that is hilarious. I completely forgot about that photo! YES, that is my hand. LOL. We were on the track and he was apparently trying to take some "serious" racing pictures..... LOL.
  8. *scratches head* Hmmmm... There's Limited production capacity on the new Catalyst chassis that very few seemed to be able to order. THEN, some say that overall sales for model year '24 may actually go down due to their production constraints. Then when those very few sleds sold out quickly, and people here have spun that info in to a successful launch. Am I understanding correctly?
  9. True. And @D-rail & @X2700. And some here that (Jim's unaware of) were a part of Cat's glory factory racing days.....lurking..... BTW- @Zambroski occasionally survives a ride uninjured and without an insurance claim.....
  10. You also claim to see tons of Blasts....... Credibility = Zero I see an occasional Sidewinder and older Viper, but very few brand new Yamahas. Not even the FIB's will buy them any more....
  11. Oh.... I thought you were talking about Cat...... But you do make a reasonable point. It made some sense when Cat was actually using a fair number of Yamaha engines and Yamaha was receiving the Procross in return. I don't understand the arrangement at all now..... It seems lop sided no matter how you look at it.
  12. Well, according to Jim, they are all in and will have a broad product offering..... *yawn*
  13. Just restating the obvious- Regardless of what Jim says, Yamaha's release is 4 days away, and they don't seem to be promoting it hardly at all. I logged on to the Yamaha Snowmobile web site. On the Home page, there is NOTHING promoting the release date for their '24's. It just promotes the '23's. And when you scroll down, the accessory catalog is from '22. I don't get the impression that Yamaha is all that excited, or invested in the sled market.....
  14. Agreed 100% @Palu49 ,Thus my point. Progressive steering and belt drive are not even on the radar screen of most riders.
  15. I tend to agree that it is spotty. I haven't seen or personally met anyone with the plug fouling issue. I changed my plugs once in 3600 miles on my '22 VR-1, and that was at the beginning of this season because it's part of my preseason maintenance.... You tend to see more of those things on HCS because that web site has such a large Polaris owner presence....
  16. I bought my 600's because of the issues that people were having with the Cat 800's- especially from 2018-2020. You can't tell me that this is a surprise to you......
  17. Sold out of what..... all 10 that they are going to build?
  18. LOLOL- No one walked in to a dealership and said, "I gotta have me a sled with progressive steering".... Additionally- Most riders are technically illiterate now days- they don't understand the concept of the chain case, much less know of the benefits of belt drive (or even care if it's an option for them....)
  19. Sure they did. Because of the belt drive? Or the steering? You're not objective at all. As previously stated, a couple of obscure test rides didn't do much to create competitive buzz. Catalyst is a "Me too" desperate attempt to keep Cat from hemorrhaging additional customers. Cat's reputation for horrible new platform releases will hobble it's success for a few years. Eventually, when it is old news, they will get it polished and refined.
  20. Please tell us about how objective you are. Waiting.....
