When I was a young fella and I went to the bank, I always saw the sign saying deposits insured up (at the time) $100,000. Even then I had enough of a brain to say "who in their right mind would have $500,000 in a bank account?"

I;m saying pensions and 401k are 2 different things.
no kidding
I didn't mention your pension which we previously discussed in a rational manner in my previous thread in which I was appalled by the pension bailout for those Teamsters
if you had a 401k the US Federal Reserve bailed it out, and wall street orchestrated it.
do you know what taper tantrum is/was?
why was Trump pushing for 0% or NEGATIVE interest rates?
you, and others here could learn a little a bit about how we've arrived where we are... or, not.

The bailout went to the Central States fund that was run into the ground by crooked administrators. UPS was smart and bailed on those crooks years ago.... regardless the fact it was the pension fund and not the 401k fund...
are you attempting to say you retired from UPS without a 401k or any investments in the stock market?

Many here have been paying attention since the 2000's and have been saying that SPENDING has to stop. In 2008 every conservative on this site said they were doing things wrong. The fed injecting money and trying to constantly control shit backfires and eventually you have to pay the piper. It's not rocket science and most don't need a 2 hour documentary explaining it. But if that is what it takes then so be it. We don't need politicians in the white house and that is why trump was elected, unfortunately, he couldn't be a one man operation and COVID hit and spending was apparently the answer again.
Trump was incompetent and complicit. Biden is even more incompetent.

Why do you understate things so much. Uneducated is nowhere near a strong enough word. 4 seconds? What a stretch.
we have an election coming, possibly with two totally people completely unfit to hold the highest office in the land when it comes to addressing and setting a course for our, our children's and grandchildren's financial futures.
people should be paying attention to and understanding these matters... which the vast majority of Americans clearly are not.
imo, we've become the most uneducated but opinion driven free nation on the planet.
hooray for us...

Didn't watch the video...might later, but considering it is the equivalent of Howard Stern doing a bit not sure it is even going to be entertaining, but the summary from Lloyd is fucking hilarious.
Out of all the preposterous statements he has made this one may top them all. He is claiming that the US moved WEAPONS research to China. Super logical to move research & development of a weapon to a country that you are at odds with. Anyone who has done ANY work with development for our military would realize that this is beyond absurd. He's stated some dumb shit, but this takes the cake. Even funnier that he is implying that one person was able to do this.
As for the rest of the video, I have no comment as I haven't watched it...but if it implies the above perhaps using some thinking skills and questioning anything else in it would be logical...

Why because nobody responded as quickly as you wanted. Attention whore much?
no, because many people here are uneducated finger pointers with a four second attention span that don't have a clue about how real economics actually function.... and maybe a little bit of that attention whore thing.
