You don't know what a Karen is? Do you have your head in the sand? Karen is the same as a banshee..................an evil female spirit.

Well to be fair he thought Walmart was going to be filled with high class, upstanding citizens that represented the best the USA has to offer. So there’s that.

  2. Local bbq joint in Green Bay WI. I have to say, it was fantastic and everything is smoked out back. Spare ribs and brisket that was thick sliced, not chopped. Both were just fabulous as was the mac and cheese. Beans were good, not great. Cornbread was top notch. :bc:

Their siracha bbq sauce was my personal favorite

I know this might sound crazy, but I feel some real sadness for the cop that had his knee to the throat. That guy woke up, grabbed a morning coffee, kissed his wife goodbye, and left for work. He had no clue about the land mine he was about to create. I don’t know his story. I know nothing about him. I do know that cops are some of the most traumatized individuals in the workforce. The shit they see and hear on a daily basis is accumulative. Unfortunately it’s not coplike to reach out for help or suggest to a fellow cop that he’s losing his shit. I watched the video several times. That cop has no emotional affect. He’s completely flat. Not a grimace. Not a look of anger. He’s just blank. What the fuck Is going through his head? Now here’s where it gets weird. I think that he could, someday out in the future, be a key to helping fix this awful mess. He’s got a story to tell and I’m so curious to hear it.

    Excellent post.

Those 90 degree V Evinrudes and Johnsons in the 80s and early 90s were junk next to the 60 degree Mercs of the era.  We had many of both in our family.  Our 1988 Merc 175 was the best of the bunch.  It's still running strong for the family we sold it to.  Only issue we ever had with it were a couple of seals on the power trim.  The running quality of this thing once you learned the startup procedure was like an electric motor.  Thing would never load up, foul plugs, and sounded divine at full whack when trimmed out.  Crazy fun boat to drive, and outstanding slalom and barefoot wakes.

The 90 degree V4s were ok but thirsty pigs. They were cross scavenged too. The newer 60 degree V4 that came out in the mid 90s was much better and is loop charged. Ground up redesign using lost foam casting techniques and other improved manufacturing tech of the time. I have a 115 Johnson fast strike and it’s a great motor. I’d take it over the 2+2 Merc design of the era. :bc:

the 2.0, 2.4, and 2.5 V6 Merc’s were and are great engines for the most part. I’d take those over an OMC equivalent 100% of the time.

93-97 I think. They had a consumer variant. I think (could be wrong, Tom would probably know better) the ones with the clear tanks were the race models and not meant for recreational use. :dunno:

98 was the last year of the wedge XCR and arguably the most valuable and desirable. It had the first year liberty 440 VES motor and it was a beast.

    I believe the red one is a 98, may be a 97.

  6. My xcr was a better handling sled than my g4 XRS.  That being said the G4 is a fine chassis and a significant upgrade from the XRS XP I had before the XCR.  The Rmotion is great and the 850 etec is baller.  It’s dialed in and rips 2020 and 2019 800 cats apart from what I witnessed racing them this year. I can only imagine what the 850 poo is like.  Polaris is on the verge of 1980s and 1990s dominance again.  They got the best chassis, clutching, snow check, lights, gauges, etc in the business.  It’s only a matter of time before they take over the industry. Again.

I cant imagine ever owning a cat nowadays.  They’re like that chick that was smoking hot 20-30 years ago, but she’s aged so poorly you would kill yourself before you fucked her now.

Every time they made a chassis improvement, they should have tweaked the name too.  ProCrissCossEr XT1.684

They should just add a revision level next to the name for the number of changes they’ve made to that chassis throughout the years to try and keep up with poo and doo. “Aww sweet bro you got a  R21 procross! It’s basically a new chassis though! Derp!”

What’s weird is, most sleds seem to have at least one ugly angle no matter the brand.  And even then, it’s never as bad in person as it is in the pic.

That’s true. I was lazy and snapped a quick pic after the final wash for the year.

Mine grew on me like most sleds I own do. I loved it and would own another one.....I did not however for one second ever think it was pleasing to the eye in any way

It’s not that bad, I’d rather have an ugly doo then a pretty cat. Jmo
