I did for several years.....I got out right when it started taking off.  There were 18,000 people when I moved and bought a house south of town, just outside Sunriver back in 94.  I'm only 20+  minutes away from Bend (I still actually have a Bend address, just outside the city proper).  The problem with Bend is that it wasn't laid out to support the amount of growth it has seen. Traffic is a mess, particularly when the snow shows up and all the folks not used to driving in it.
