Every guy in the industry will tell you JB weld does not work but it has worked on every rad I've used it on. I bent the rad bad on my old CRF and took it to a guy to fix it, said he couldn't. Bought a new rad from Honda and JB'd the old one. Ran it like that for a few years till I sold the bike. Sold the bike and it came with a new rad in the box, go figure.

I went XCR indy for my20.
I`d probably go with the same if I do it. Not much more money for the better shocks. Just not sure I want to spend 20gs on sledding anymore is my problem

Yes, $900. The engine sounds good. Unfortunately it burns a bit of oil. Buddy said about 1qt to a tank of fuel.
He takes it down to Arizona in the winter and lives out his 5th wheel and rides the bike. He comes back to Canada for the summer. So I don't know if the extra heat and the more "aggressive" riding he was a contributor?
Dude, if it burns that much oil, the motor is done. But for 900 bucks I guess just run her into the ground

Got out for the 1st ride this past weekend. Trials were good with a shit ton of traffic. Looks like Polaris is taking over these days.....

In all 3 holes? Sorry, Jesse, not picking up what your saying? Imo, Royal Purple is a boutique oil and is nothing more than hyped, overpriced run of the mill oil. People like the purple color, however. She already has a filter which hopefully is the correct one. She told me she told her ex not to touch anything on her bike so she was pissed off he tried to remove the filter and change her oil. He purchased this filter for her, which I assume is the correct one but I know she is a bit concerned about that as well. There is no wrapper/part number on it she says so is there another way of finding out for sure beforehand? I guess taking it with you to a Harley dealer and sizing it up is likely the only option? I didn't know the guy but hearing as he also owned a Harley, hopefully he at least got the correct filter for it?
I don't use the royal, just sayin some people do. I use the HD stuff like I said. There is 3 drain and fill plugs, at least on my old one which is a 80ci evo. Engine, primary and transmission. That I think is a 96ci and should still be the same. As far as the filter, it should be fine or just grab another one.

I'm not overthinking it, like in my original post, I thought there were 2 pieces involved which I thought was going to cause me some grief? Her bike is in her finished basement but I am hoping to be able to push it outdoors for the oil/filter change due to the likely hood of a mess. She or her ex purchased Valvoline racing oil for it. I don't know the weight but is that recommended/acceptable oil for it? She said she paid $13.99 for it. Hopefully within the next fews weeks I am able to get down to do it?
I run full synthetic Harley oil 20 w 50. You can use that in all 3 holes. Some guys use royal purple. Just make sure to get another chrome filter cause a black one looks like shit.

I'm hoping I don't have to resort to that? I've read/heard the nut on the bottom of those filters is rather weak so hopefully it wasn't put on as tight as I originally thought?
They normally don't even have that nut on the end, takes away from the appearance. Changing the oil on those makes a mess anyway. Oil comes out of every side of the engine. Stop over thinking it and take it off

Thanks!! Sadly, no cool story...getting out of cruiser onto glare ice. Fractured the scaphoid bone. At least partner had a good laugh! I checked the link. That was Ottawa PD. But the article used a very old OPP sled pic... I'm assuming they charged for anything and everything by the looks of it. So expired insurances, fail to have registration available etc..
Shitty deal man. I broke mine before too and it is the worst bone to break in your wrist. I'm not sure where you live but if you need surgery PM me. I will give you my doctors name in Sunnybrook that fixed it after a Doc in Oshawa ruined it.

filter will be all one piece, that nut part is just spot welded on the end of the filter. use a normal filter wrench and it should spin off.
What he said. Normal filter wrench will solve your problem.

Do you or anyone you know been to Mexico for cancer treatment? Looking for opinions on this option. If so, what kind of treatment did they get and did it work?
Thanks
