I don't think the Flu is gonna kill me, or family or friends. If there is to be a legitimate treatment for this China Virus I wouldn't get the vaccine. Both are unknowns right now and I don't think this is 1 virus anymore either. A vaccine is not going to prevent you from spreading this shit either.

My kids are working young adults now and if they want the vaccine I would get it first to prove it's safe .

Thats good of you.  My kids are young and they nor I will be getting it.   Why did you edit your last post asking why is it only 9196 people?

I'm pretty sure 100% of the dead people died.

I Dunno about the death rate, I do know if the infection rate was 0, the resulting death rate would be 0. I think I've had it but again I'm not gonna go around potentially infecting anyone

EDIT* I think the hospitalization rate has actually gone down, presumably the virus is losing strength but YTF not continue to protect yourself and others ? That's fucked up

You're right the dead people died, all 9196 of them as of today in a country of over 37 million people.  Are you planning on taking the vaccine if one comes out?

6.8 million confirmed cases from ~ 25% of the population tested, that's potentially 27.2 million infected Americans. There's only 37.8 million Canadians !! That's why Y'all ain't gettin here.

Come on dude, turn off the news. So how many deaths out of 6.8 million?  Plus you say that only 25% got tested so that % is really low out of the total population.  The chances of dying from this is so small its not even funny.  Open the border!!!

My friend received a formal invitation to meet. He’s a really decent guy. Made me curious.

I am a Mason and a Shriner.  What do you mean by receiving a formal invitation to meet?  Did your friend ask to join a lodge?

I believe Ontario's tax rate is maybe second lowest in the country

Gasoline is a steady buck - seems fair

unfortunately if you are in the top 1% you are getting hit from Provincial and federal taxes.

The almost doubling hydro rates last January has been noticed

140 dollar a barrel or OIL compared to 30 dollars - tell me how this would have worked for Harper todays prices :dunno:

7.9% unemployment brought down to 50 year low just above 5% in 2 years - While Alberta continues with low teens numbers - those are good numbers.

If we counted our unemployed numbers like the USA does our would be 3.8%

sorry the inheritance isn't that great compared to what he inherited - we have outpace USA on almost every account

    employment

    stock market increase

    total employment

but you see something different, you never post numbers or facts you just rant like a little girl

These two comments here show me there really is no point talking to you about this.

Yes I have said this for decades, people here give credit for good economy to a conservative party but not to a liberal one.  I personally don't give much credit at all to Governments, they don't sell i-phones.

Now having said that Trump got lucky with his timing just like Trudeau did with record employment and stock markets.  To say one person is responsible for all of this is just wrong.

You are paying twice the tax as 5 years ago?  where do you live?

I live in Ontario just like you. Tax is way higher, do you not think so?  Why do you keep dodging my questions?

Sorry Doug Ford is for real, his shut down and mask wearing will be going on for a while.

Lets here how you will never vote for Doug again   Instead you would lineup to vote for him again and again.

This isn't on Trudeau which is too bad cause the hate would be massive.

Yes, Doug Ford has turned into a little liberal bitch.  I will have to wait and see who I am going to vote for next time around.

2017 being first is now Trumps doings   my god how stupid

Yes Trump lowered corporate taxes not anything else - you know giving Billionaires more money - Places like Wal-Mart

I think lowering taxes for the masses is far better

According to the folks here Harper had a recession  his entire term and that is why he spent the second most in history - How do you see it?

Harper's magic balanced budget just 6 months before the election was great timing, from 10 billion just months prior to balance   Too bad OIL isn't 100 a barrel anymore

tell me RX are  you worst off today or 5 years ago, be honest because most to the country is far better off

Our economy is closely aligned with the States.  To deny that is the stupid thing.  Harper got us through the recession in 08 very well, another thing you can not deny.

As far as 5 years ago to now?  Ahh pretty much everything is twice the price, HST is applied to everything, some even after its already taxed. Its tax tax tax now, so I'd say we were better off 5 years ago. Better yet, tell me something that is cheaper now then it was 5 years ago

So can you answer my questions now?  Capitol gains and your friends??

  9. 21 hours ago, 1trailmaker said:

I don't see any of this being paid for, we will or might here about balance the budget but that is as far as it will go.

Do you think the CPC will run on paying this back?  there is only 1 way for this to be possible and that is huge increase in taxes and less spending.

You will need a 40 billion dollar surplus for 25 years with zero spending increases - this is never going to happen.

Just the covid spending is 10 billion surplus for 30 years, since surplus are very rare I doubt this will happen

Capital gains will not change in Canada

Your primary address will be tax be forever, don't listen to the fear from AC and SK

They tried to raise it back in 2016 but Trump got elected and lowered taxes so we couldn't as it would have been too much of a gap between our countries. Have you ever had to pay capitol gains before?

ya ya ya ya  I know Harper had a recession that went on and on and on for almost 9 years until the day he left.

    How dumb

Best economy, record breaking 2017, record stock market, 50 year low for unemployed - 2nd in G7 growth

    I KNOW doom and gloom

Was Wynne's spending under the same recession that Harper had or no?  very confusing isn't it

Mainly to do with the United States, nothing to do with Trudeau

    1 hour ago, 1trailmaker said:

I already know you approve of the 330 billion from Mulroney and 165 billion from Harper as greatness, I just don't agree with you.

Funny how recessions last entire terms for Conservatives ( just an observation)

    This is laughable.

Do you really think this way or do you just troll the internet with this? Honest question.  When you're hanging out with your buddies do you tell them this?  If so, what do they think of your opinion?

The debt will not be paid back it is really that  simple - no different than the debt from the 70's 80's 90's 00's 10's

AHAHHAHAHAA.  You really dont think we will be paying for this?  Capitol gains are going up as soon as Biden gets in if he wins.  This is going to cost us huge!

I haven't heard anything official. But I do know from history that laws that exclude or favor a specific group generally do not pass a charter test very well.   It's also tough as an officer (my experience only) to morally/ethically charge one person for something while letting the guy beside him go free only because of two tiered laws.

    Thanks again for the info!

Sadly, it's a two tiered law now.  If you are Sikh and wearing your turban you are exempt on a motorcycle on a highway both as defined by the Highway Traffic Act.  I know this is a sensitive and controversial topic...so I ask that all comments are respectful in this thread as the usual caveat applies...if it goes off the rails I'll lose my permission to post.  And remember.. Indid not create this law (or any others) I'm simply a nessenger.

No worries, I hear it may change to everyone in the future? Have you heard that?

As the captain or master of the vessel you are legally responsible for what goes on aboard.  So yes, it is possible that the captain was charged.  But not $300.  It would be $215 total for operate vessel underway with open alcohol.  Most guys I know will ticket an individual and not the captain.  Or if there are multiple people drinking and the interaction is good I (me) will use our allowed discretion and let one person come forward to take the actual ticket and encourage the others to chip in.  Usually this would be a $125 total fine for open alcohol in public.

    Sean

Thanks man for the info. I'll second what frosty said.

    Have a good one!
