The machining/fabrication trade magazine I get has mentioned this quite a bit as shop owners get older. Make sure a succession plan be in place when a firm's owner dies or wants to pass the family along to another family. Back in the 50s just after my parents married & my mother was a bank teller, she cashed a weekly allowance cheque of $100 for the wife of a local businessman. Being new to the city, she asked my father about it. Apparently it was well known that the wife was an alcoholic & had the allowance for several years.

I thought he drove for Trans X? I seem to remember a PC nomination in the Scarboro area where the cops were called. Lots of brown people carrying on there. I think if the parties are to cut out this nonsense (there were issues around the Window Washer's nomination), they would ban these 'instant' (or whatever you want to call them) members. Also didn't a possible female Liberal nominee (Brampton area) back out of the nomination at the last minute before the last federal election?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/armed-forces-women-recruiting-1.4691356 If they don't want to join, what are the Feds going to do? You can't force someone to do or join something they aren't interested in. When I started my apprenticeship, 2 girls were hired. One quit after 6 months. Really had no mechanical ability.

Probably run out of money. It's just a coincidence that Brown's sister is the lawyer. Reeks of "If I can't be premier, you aren't either" from Brown.

What about the backroom gang that backed him? Obviously they never saw that outside of a certain portion of the party, he wasn't that popular. If the leadership convention had been run like those in the past, how would he have faired? Had this method been used elsewhere?

http://nationalpost.com/opinion/np-view-ontarios-choice-is-clear-if-less-than-ideal-a-progressive-conservative-government I wonder where the 'rich' bracket starts in the NDP scheme of things? Anyone who makes more than the average NDP candidate?

So will the gov't sell the pipeline down the road for a profit or loss? What will tax payers be on the hook for? You're the all knowing financial wizard here.
-
Justin Trudeau is Doing a Great Job
That 4 billion figure is just for the existing pipeline, not even the cost of building the 'new' pipeline.

Can't be any worse than the last 15 years. Or the NDP who have such a braintrust of candidates.

On the provincial level, I could go on about my club's 'progress' (or lack thereof) concerning an LUP to cross a hundred or so acres of Crown land. Application has been in the MNR's hands for a year & we'll be very surprised if we get approval in time for next season. 1) there is no rhyme or reason to the process. We haven't been told what the steps are. Everytime we comply w/ a condition something else comes up. 2) are they making it up as they go? 3) no sense of urgency. We had been told 3 times that the biologist was going out to look on a certain date. When contacting @ a later date, we were he has to wait for (fill in the blank) 4) the biologist found a lichen which is a species at risk. No problem but a gate has to be in place to prevent non-snowmobilers from entering the area in the offseason. But wait, before a gate can be placed on Crown land the local indigenous community have to be consulted. By the way, this land isnt untouched by human activity. When we GPSed the route you could see the old skidder ruts in the soil & stumps from previous logging in the area.

My nephew worked for the county roads department. I'll leave it at that.

The maintenance of the provincial parks is outsourced & the county dumps so much sand on our street it still is like a sandbox. Probably wont get swept until July. Try not to dislocate your shoulder patting yourself on your back. When Fail disappears from FS we'll know that his position was found to be redundant & he was let go.
