The group of Massachusetts State Police troopers accused of getting paid overtime for skipping shifts working a specialized patrol on the Massachusetts Turnpike range in rank from trooper to lieutenant.
MassLive has learned the names of 23 of the 30 troopers who have been implicated in the overtime scandal. Twenty-one of the troopers have either been suspended or retired in the overtime investigation.
An additional 8 troopers are under investigation, but seven remain on duty and another retired, State Police confirmed. Those names are not yet publicly known.
A total of 23 troopers were investigated during an initial audit of the Accident and Injury Reduction Effort Patrols, known as AIRE patrols, on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Officials have not released the names publicly.
The AIRE patrol was a MassDOT program intended to increase patrols along the Massachusetts Turnpike to deter traffic violators. Troopers worked four or six-hour shifts and were paid time and a half to catch violations and issue warnings and tickets. The program was open to any Troop E trooper who wanted to work it.

Massachusetts State Police announced findings after reports discovered troopers assigned to Massachusetts Turnpike patrol shifts did not actually appear for patrols, but were paid.
One trooper retired last year before the results of the AIRE audit were announced earlier this month. Another trooper would have faced a duty status hearing, but had already been suspended for another matter.
MassLive confirmed through sources the already suspended trooper is Matthew Sheehan.
Nine of the troopers under investigation resigned after Col. Kerry Gilpin detailed some of the audit results and just before they were scheduled to face duty status hearings. Another nine troopers were subject to the March 23 hearings and were suspended without pay as a result.
One trooper was allowed to stay on duty.
Following are the troopers we know were suspended or retired as part of the overtime investigation as well as how much they made in regular and overtime pay. The overtime pay totals may include money from shifts other than from the AIRE patrols.

Trooper Matthew Sheehan
In late February, Sheehan shot an ATV driver during a police confrontation on Interstate 93 in Boston. He was first placed on paid leave after the shooting, but days later he was suspended without pay following an investigation into racist messages he posted online.

State police confirm trooper Matthew Sheehan is under investigation, as first reported by the Boston Globe.
Authorities said one of the troopers involved in the overtime pay investigation was already suspended. Sources confirmed to MassLive that Sheehan is the trooper.
A report from the Boston Globe said Sheehan used the name "Big Irish" on the MassCops website.
In 2016, Sheehan made $233,351 with $100,401 coming from overtime. The following year, in 2017, Sheehan earned $237,467 with $87,804 in overtime pay.
Lt. David Keefe
The lieutenant was one of several troopers scrutinized for his work on the AIRE patrols. Public records show he logged 59 AIRE patrols from March to December 2016. Records released by the state's retirement board show Keefe retired on March 20, 2018.
Keefe earned $207,878 with $55,960 in overtime pay in 2016. He earned $210,598 with $61,943 in overtime pay in 2017.

Trooper Todd Glidden
Records show Glidden made $247,580 with $90,968 of that in overtime pay in 2016. The following year, 2017, he made $243,343 with $89,167 of that in overtime pay.
Lt. John Giulino
Records show Giulino logged 55 radar shifts from March to December 2016, but issued no citations during the shifts for Troop E. The majority of his overtime shifts were 4-hour blocks. Giulino has retired.
In 2016, Giulino earned $212,504 with $53,073 in overtime. In 2017, Giulino made $249,600 with $55,984 in overtime.
Lt. Jack O'Grady
In 2016, O'Grady made $271,959 with $111,928 in overtime pay. The following year, in 2017, he made $307,903 with $83,259 in overtime pay. O'Grady has now retired.
Trooper Kevin Maple
Maple retired on March 23, 2018, the same day troopers were called to the State Police headquarters to have duty status hearings, according to Retirement board records.
Maple worked 116 AIRE patrol shifts from March to December 2016, public records show. WCVB News reports seven tickets filed by Maple during one overtime patrol did not match the dates filed with the state Registry of Motor Vehicles.
In 2016, Maple made $199,994 with $81,379 in overtime pay. In 2017, he made $197,295 with $74,694 in overtime pay.
Trooper Greg Rafferty.
Trooper Greg Raftery
Raftery retired on March 23, Retirement Board records show. Raftery made $219,670 in 2016 with $87,608 in overtime pay. He made $165,507 in 2017 with $32,305 coming from overtime.
Lt. James Canty
Records show Canty retired on March 12, 2018. He worked 32 AIRE patrol shifts from March to December 2016, according to State Police records.
In 2016, the lieutenant made $180,633 with $45,445 of it in overtime pay. Canty made $179,476 in 2017 with $38,878 in overtime pay.
Trooper Keith Sweeney
In 2016, Sweeney earned $168,851 with $30,581 of it in overtime pay. The following year, in 2017, the trooper made $199,970 with $69,819 of that number in overtime pay.
Trooper Paul E. Cesan
Cesan retired on March 23, 2018, Retirement Board records show. The trooper earned $163,534 in 2016, with $50,866 of his total earnings in overtime pay. Cesan earned $172,797 in 2017 with $35,271 of it in overtime pay.
Trooper Daren DeJong
Retirement Board records show DeJong retired on March 22, 2018. DeJong earned $200,417 in 2016 with $68,394 in overtime pay. In 2017, DeJong earned $190,266 with $53,407 in of it in overtime pay.
Trooper Kevin M. O'Brien
O'Brien retired on March 23, 2018. In 2016, O'Brien made $206,492 with $75,994 in overtime pay. Records show he made $210,278 in 2017 with $84,567 in of it in overtime pay.
Lt. David Wilson
Wilson retired on March 15, 2018, Retirement Board records confirmed. In 2016, he made $259,476 with $103,447 of that in overtime pay. in 2017, Wilson earned $240,179 with $82,358 in overtime pay.
Trooper Anthony Boszko
Boszko is suspended without pay. He earned $260,873 in 2016 with $79,427 in that in overtime pay. In 2017, he made $280,713 with $69,587 in ovetime pay.
Trooper Gary Herman
Currently suspended without pay. Herman made $227,827 in 2016 with $63,053 of that in overtime. In 2017, he made $244,059 with $59,657 in overtime.
Trooper Sean Hoye
Hoye was suspended without pay. He earned $246,135 in 2016 with $92,375 of that in overtime. The following year, in 2017, Hoye earned $171,218 with $33,666 in overtime.
Trooper Heath McAuliffe
He is currently suspended without pay. McAuliffe made $164,681 in 2016 with $60,908 in overtime. In 2017, he made $156,646 with $23,160 in overtime.
Trooper Chris Kudlay
Currently suspended without pay. Kudlay made $191,519 in 2016 with $58,840 of that in overtime. He made $188,376 in 2017 with $19,260 in overtime.
Trooper Stephen Mihalek
Mihalek retired on March 23. He made $139,391 in 2016 with $37,033 of that in overtime. In 2017, he made $121,779 with $20,150 in overtime.
Trooper John Wosny
Currently suspended without pay. He made $135,117 in 2016 with $37,569 in overtime pay. Wosny made $157,578 in 2017 with $30,604 in overtime.
Trooper David Perreault
Still on active duty. He made $194,123 in 2016 with $71,678 of that in overtime pay. In 2017, Perreault made $197,025 with $70,824 in overtime.
Trooper Kevin Sweeney
Currently suspended without pay. Sweeney made $218,513 in 2016 with $97,677 in overtime pay. He made $225,882 in 2017 with $75,031 in overtime.
Trooper Eric Chin
Currently suspended without pay.
While not flagged in the audit, Chin was investigated for getting paid for no-show shifts. Sources said the investigation into Chin led to the audit of the AIRE patrols. He was suspended in April 2017.
Payroll records show he pulled in a total of $302,401 in pay in 2016 with $131,654. In 2017 he made $58,970 with $16,026. It is important to note he was suspended in April 2017.
