I guess you have not been on any long weekends lately....:flush:

Seniors get a great discount as it is...not free, but a great deal compared to full pop.

Now if they happened to also be handicapped as well....ever better yet!

The Trent Severn Waterway will be free next summer. Save me $20+ each time I want to take the boat out in Georgian Bay.

They should owe American workers something more then they are getting since they are based here for some reason.

But lets forget all that..hell they are all doing it so that should make it ok.

If GM,Ford and Boeing all want to move out for cheaper labor ..good on them then.

Line 1. The only people they owe anything are the shareholders period.

Line 3. Yup.... Bombardier Aerospace is based in Montreal Canada. They should pull all their operations out of the U.S. Since they owe Canadians only

They could have art least tried to do it here first.

    They could have done it.

The shareholders are biased to say the least on how much money apple makes ..as in where they make it.

Of course the shareholders want to make as much money as they can.... duh! That's the free enterprise, capitalist system.

My bottom line is they sold  out the U.S. workforce.

They didn't sell out anyone... they have done what they and every other business will do. Take care of the shareholders who own the business. Their allegiance belongs to the shareholders and no one else. Picture yourself as a voting shareholder of Apple. The company tells you that they will give you perhaps 50% less of a return on your investment because they are going to pay much more to make their product than they have to. How happy would you be? Something tells me you would want the more money in YOUR pocket.

I'm not missing the fact that they started out in the US..unless you can prove me wrong.

They may have started out in the U.S. but that is irrelevant in a market where you compete globally... Particularly the technology field. U.S. didn't lose to China in manufacturing.... they handed the business to China on a silver platter by costing business too much more to produce the product.

Shareholders are getting pissy..want me to put up a link or can you google it yourself?

Bottom line... everyone who owns a voting share in Apple has a say in the way the business is run. If they collectively don't like the direction it is getting they can replace the senior leadership.

Move to the US then you can have a valid opinion on apple and how it is or isn't fawking this country.

You seem to miss the fact that Apple shares trade on all the major stock exchanges around the globe. While the corporate office is based in the U.S. It is a global company with separate legal Apple companies in almost every country around the world. There is Apple Canada, a legally registered Canadian company, Australia, Germany etc. Apple is taking care of its shareholders who are the owners of the business and if they don't like the way the business is run the shareholders can vote out the executive and replace them.

Sad there is so much greed.

Would you offer to make less money yourself in order to keep more jobs in North America? Go into your boss tomorrow and tell him you want a 10% cut in pay and think everyone you work with should do the same so he can afford to hire more people or sell his product / service for less.

You want the shareholders of Apple to make less money. I have shares in Apple and really don't concern myself about jobs in the U.S. I'm in Canada. I care about a return on my investment. I am sure the shareholders around the globe of which there will be many don't care about jobs in the U.S. either.

As for the cash on hand the shareholders can vote to declare themselves a special dividend if the majority support it or they can be happy with the value of their shares.

Lots of big business out there. Microsoft just bought LinkedIn for $26.2B

That cost does not include the R&D involved in the design and a $65 adder is quite significant.

Probably doesn't include general business overhead either like admin staff, distribution, real estate, utilities and corporate taxes in  North America

More excuses why apple can't manufacture here in this great country of we can do anything.

    http://www.popsci.com/why-trumps-idea-to-move-apple-product-manufacturing-to-us-makes-no-sense

If it was your business you would be looking to maximize your profits. If you were a shareholder in Apple you would also want to maximize profits. $65 per unit is a huge hit to that profitability and the bottom line. On top of that they aren't tied to a union holding the company hostage.

  11. So far I haven't had any problems with signal loss except for one spot on the 400 near Wonderland. There is a building on the west side with a large white almost cactus like antenna system outside the building. The satellite radio cuts out momentarily every time we pass it.

  12. I ride anticipating there may be an oncoming sled. What is the difference if it is the first of a group that you don't get any warning about or someone down the line in a group or a solo rider. I would rather have that guy coming over the crest of a hill at a crazy speed keep his hands on the bars.

They have an "auto-renew only" policy and jack your rates way up if you don't remember when it's finished.  I had 12 months at $7 a month then all of a sudden it was $240 for 12 months all one lump sum.  They won't let a subscription lapse either.  I ended up getting it reduced but not to what it was before.  Can't wait to get a new truck, going with synced Internet radio instead.

Mine doesn't auto renew. They wanted to do that but I told them no and there is no way I would allow them to automatically bill my credit card. When it came up for renewal last December the service stopped automatically. I called them up and they wanted an outrageous amount to renew but I asked them to pass me through to the customer retention / loyalty dept. I told them I don't spend that much time in the truck and their normal rate just wasn't worth it to me. I told them if they wanted to keep me as a customer they needed to be essentially the same amount as they were the year before since that is all I was willing to pay. They said okay. It was about $85 for the year plus tax. I expect to do the same this December when I lose the service.

As for wireless devices, my 2011 F150 has Bluetooth where it synchs with my truck. Push a button on the wheel and I have voice access to the phone.

  14. I have used e-mail transfer quite a number of times. It has worked well for me. The bank has told me that they believe the transaction can be reversed but not easily and they have to initiate it with a  lot of paperwork and possibly a police report as well I believe they said. The person I spoke to at the time had never done it and said they would have to speak with their branch manager to be sure.

Its 2016, and you have people who own thousands in snowmobile equipment, go trail riding/stop at places to eat, or go fishing, pick up accessories, items , junk, misc crap but cant pay with a credit card? Of the 80,000 permit buyers you might be 25 users that cant actually do it, but 25,000 will complain. They are trying to get the manipulation and mistakes and paper work away from people who are not paperwork people. There should be no need for trail wardens to have permits, the people should have a permit before they hit the snow.

Also, I have no issue if you receive a new groomer they make you decommission the old ones, lots of clubs would keep trying to maintain the old one as well, which costs money and time for 'something that has been replaced'.

There seems like some shitty back history related to KLSC that most of us will never know.

And you have lots of people that aren't flush with cash, or either choose not to use credit cards online, after all that credit card information never gets compromised does it? Or lots of people with bad credit and therefore don't have credit cards available to them. Just look at the proliferation of collection agencies out there. I embrace the technology solutions out there as it provided me a very good living but not everyone is of that generation that can't survive without their smart phone in their hand every waking minute of the day and does everything online.

  16. You referenced the online sales only for permits and some not having internet access or wanting to give out credit card numbers online. Don't forget there are people also who simply don't have credit cards for various reasons. It's just a wrong thing to do. If it is so right then why has the province not put plate renewal online only
