Of course it was approved now. It didnt include the border issue. The republicans don’t want a border solution. They are fine having millions of zombies cross the border so they can try and hang it around Biden’s neck in election. By contrast, the Dems brought a border bill forward that was loaded with extra bullshit. They knew that the GOP would vote it down. They did that so they could say the GOP rejected a border bill. Are you so stupid that you can’t see how both parties operate. I swear, I’m the only one smart to see this.

You don’t understand compromise at all. Not even bringing it up for a discussion is not the democrats fault it’s purely the republicans holding this up.

Blaming both sides is a cop out.

If it was a bipartisan bill it would’ve passed. The bill was mixed with funding to Israel and Ukraine along with allowing an unacceptable amount of illegals into the country. It was a non starter.

It’s a stand alone bill. It sits because Trump told the speaker not to even bring it to the floor for a discussion.

The republicans own the border problem.

Judge upholds $83m E Jean Carroll defamation verdict against Trump

A federal judge on Thursday upheld the verdict and award of more than $83m to the writer E Jean Carroll in a defamation case against Donald Trump after he called her a liar for accusing him of sexually assaulting her.

Judge Lewis Kaplan, a senior district judge on the US district court for the southern district of New York, denied Trump’s motion for a new trial and affirmed that Carroll suffered harm caused by Trump’s 2019 public statements. “Mr Trump’s argument is entirely without merit both as a matter of law and as a matter of fact,” Kaplan wrote in his opinion released on Thursday.

Carroll, a journalist and advice columnist, first sued Trump in 2019 for sexually abusing her in a New York department store changing room around early 1996. A jury awarded her with $5m in compensatory and punitive damages last year.

Less than a year later, Carroll won a separate defamation lawsuit against the former president after he accused her of lying about the sexual abuse and participating in a political operative. She filed suit over these denials in 2019, claiming they ruined her reputation.

  4. 'Missing in action': Analyst sees Trump's 'family man' defense killed by Melania's absence

The failure of Melania Trump to make an appearance at the Manhattan courtroom where her husband Donald is facing 34 felony counts related to paying off an adult film star is hurting his defense in multiple ways. That's a claim made by analyst Amanda Marcotte in her column for Salon, where she said that the former first lady's absence is likely crippling a line of defense his lawyers would like to use to gain some sympathy from jurors.

As Marcotte noted, Trump's defense attorney Todd Blanche attempted to paint his client as an average married man no different than any other who was concerned about how revelations about his alleged affair would impact his family.

That, she claimed, fell flat when the former president's wife could not, or would not, show up in court as a sign of solidarity with her husband for the jury to see. As she noted, that was the least of his problems as the jury is being presented with Trump as an average "family man."

"It's not just the failed fashion model-turned-Mrs. Trump #3 who hasn't shown up in support. None of Trump's five children, or their spouses, have stood by his side in court, either. His two adult sons would rather spend time screening hypothetical future political appointments for 'loyalty' than bother to show their father any in-person care at court. His eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, is posting photos of her fancy vacations rather than staying in New York with her father," she wrote.

we're going to need a few more for the ticket... maybe a dozen for a window seat.   he's going to have to figure out his own transportation to the Greyhound terminal though.

The interior of the bus windows need a good washing.
