as long as we are teaching our current employees and not for profit we are able to do in-house training, we have to follow the same FMCSA requirements as schools do, IMO most schools push student through the program with minimal qualifications just enough to pass road test, while there are good quality schools there are many more just looking at making a buck producing poor quality driver that should not be on the road, I have been driving commercially for 33 years and have seen my share of unqualified drivers on the highway

For the last 2 years my company has been trying to implement a in-house CDL training program,  I was asked in the beginning to be a instructor, after many hoops to get the credentials to be able to implement the program we finally got to go ahead to start the program this spring, we were expecting to start training last fall during the off season it did not go as planned, after getting the late start the first person I have trained in more than 15 years passed his road test today on his first try, here he his doing the skills part of the test
