well it was a race to remember for me . some crazy weather and to have them this close at the finish is great .

Any idea on the girls . Team 22 was slow on the blueberry hills . And have not heard much lately ? 

Team 8 finally rolled in 5th place . Hope they can cover some ground too the finish !!!

Team 16 rolled in to Nome now . Terrible visibility out there

Trail Class riders have been released from UNK and are making their way toward Nome.

Talk about a nerve wracking experience knowing pro teams will be sneaking up on you.

There are some narrow trails running down into Shaktoolik that can make for some slow downs if there's a traffic jam.

So the huge storm off the coast has halted all racers and trail class riders in Unalakleet.  Team 8 arrived in Unalakleet about 5 minutes ahead of Team 10.  Team 6 is about 28 minutes behind Team 10.  

Another Doo team scratched last night.  Team 34 Collins/Jones had some trouble with a water crossing and sank one of the sleds.  They had been having trouble with the other so they threw in the towel.

Team 22 Ashley & Rachel broke a jackshaft on their Poo's last night.  They towed to Galena and made repairs.  They should be back on the trail here soon.

Yes she is !!!  Every year since I started watching it , it has gotten better and better to follow and get info.

 Yep let’s keep on pumping these out. I seen an uptick in our production of electrical component cabinets that go into those vessels.  Damn proud to be doing what we do. 

My Granchildren ?  Are you  even thinking about the future. Do you understand what’s going to change in 30 years. Just like everyone else people need to open your fucking eyes. And understand it they will be a minority. The birth rates alone  should start the scare some people in the understanding that it’s going to be a whole lot different than it is today. I really don’t care about fucking healthcare right now I’m more concerned about later on when it comes to my grandchildren. This country is going to completely change, what the hell maybe being a minority will be able to get the same benefits that people get right now today.

 Yes I agree. It's just that if they're out on the trail why would you be concerned about getting as much gas do you already had. All you need is just a little splash and dash to the next check point . Unless this bus planned shortly after they left Ruby .......

Who'd a thought, in the middle of bumfuck nowhere Alaska, there's still someone with a camera and access to social media.  You just can't hide anywhere anymore.

That didn't look like a regular gas stop to me that I've seen in the past. It looks like it was people out of the trail  on the side of the trail waiting for riders to come along looking for gas.  Because of the checkpoints there are usually either popping out of 55 gallon drums or out of a large fuel tank.  Yeah that's Frankie's village , not too mention. The discovery show is done there.

 OK I'm at work I'm working today , thinking that there are also some pissed off Taco Bell lovers too. No free taco ...... alittle humor.  The picture tells me that this is not the only team to do this. I wonder if more photos will surface in light of this situation.
