Million mile battery warranty just around the corner for China EV’s.
CATL also got into a partnership with NIO to help it test and deploy lifetime electric car batteries that will allow EV makers to give a 15-yearbattery warranty. This could spearhead the used EV market, as more than 20 million electric cars will start coming out of warranty in the next few years.
CATL already provides battery packs that last 12 years for NIO's EV battery swap stations. Its new 15-year battery will first go to more heavy-duty vehicles like buses or trucks, which are typically used for a longer period than cars.
In fact, NIO and CATL are not only striving to deploy 15-year EV battery warranty, but also to mandate 85% remaining capacity after that period.
Besides zero degradation in 1,000 cycles, and a 15-year lifespan before capacity drops to 85%, the new long-life CATL battery is rated to cover 1.5 million kilometers during its years in service, or nearly one million miles.

Less you pay more we all pay!!
No you don’t. Tax code hasn’t changed since like 2017. We are under the tax code that Trump enacted and if you are paying more you need to blame Trump and republicans for making you pay more.
So you like other peoples tax money? How liberal of you!!!

The tires on my EV’s last a long time. Have over 30k miles on the current set and still have about 50% treadwear left. They last much longer then the tires on my Mustang GT or my work pickup. Each lasting of those last about 15-20k miles

Tax reductions bad??? It is so awesome when people like others people tax money’s. It’s like a bunch of closet Democrats.

If EV is so great, Why is the governments willing to pay percentage of the price?
In the US the government isn’t paying part of the price but they are letting you to keep more of your own money.

Why would they need need to repaint the whole truck? just fix the scratches.
Depends I would think on age and condition of paint. If it’s an old tundra with faded and beat up paint it may need a whole paint job to get it to match.

Is solar cheap? You think because you are upper class and can afford solar, everyone else will? LOL. Remember what was said about immigration and the electoral college. Same tactic is being used to get people away from fossil fuels. Make it the same or more than other forms of energy, then maybe it will be on the same playing field, that's the plan.
Typically most locations in the US solar is a 7-10 year pay back so yes it is relatively cheap. Solar is more affordable for low income then ever.

Well, one based it's whole lifespan under the guise of being climate friendly. The other based itself on being cheap energy for the masses. I would think you could understand the difference.
So gas and diesels are cheap? 😆

According to a new study that takes the current battery recycling rates into account, electric vehicles become greener to drive than gas cars much sooner than thought.
Previous calculations pegged an EV in the US becoming cleaner from an environmental standpoint after about 25,000 miles of driving. That is when their upfront emissions associated with battery production break even, but the mileage varies for each region.
When taking into consideration their current battery recycling pace, though, electric vehicles actually become cleaner than gas cars after just 15,000 miles, or about a year of average driving in the US.

Extreme minority of vehicles are driven 350mi a day. That is SUPER easy mileage. More akin to idling than driving..
Very few Gas vehicles will last that long with out extreme maintenance regime and expense. Plus the decrease in performance gas vehicles by 250,000 miles is pretty noticeable unless they are freshened up and at times rebuilt

And of course highway driving on a transmission and engine makes them last that long or longer as well. Either way the biggest problem with the Tesla is the car. It sucks as a car.
200,000-250,000 most engines, transmissions and such have had mounds of maintenance and possibly major repairs and rebuilds to keep them on the road that long.

Guess about the typical longevity of Tesla batteries. I would say model 3’s and Y’s are at least 1/2 million mile batteries.
“The Fully Charged Show tells the story of Nigel Raynard from Australia, who covers around 350 miles daily and drove his 2018 Tesla Model S on its original battery pack until it reached about 413,000 miles.
Getting over 400,000 miles out of one battery pack seems consistent (even a bit above average) with the other high-mileage Tesla Model S sedans we’ve covered. The highest-mileage Model S in existence, a 2014 P85, has done over 1.24 million miles, and it’s now on its fourth battery pack, so it’s gotten about 300,000 miles out of each pack

Got 9500 miles on our Rivian R1S in like 8 months. Probably 15 percent of the miles are towing 1500-7000 lbs. will take anything you can through. It does get tiresome answer stupid question that you can tell originate from tik tok or facebooks. Like “where do you charge”. “Heard they don’t go far”. So on an so forth. Most times I just want to say in my best Jeff Foxworthy voice “here’s your sign”
The Tesla is about 63,000 miles in about 27 months of ownership. Mostly all road trips and gobs of fast charging and deep discharges and high charging percentages. Around 6 percent degradation but I’m pretty much past any more meaningful degradation for the next couple 100,000 miles or so. Lots of”Here’s your sign” questions and beliefs on a Tesla.

two of our nieces are going to see Taylor Swift...
I asked them to buy me a concert T-shirt for under $100
Her new album is out. Heard on talk radio that it has broken all sort of first day Spotify streams, downloads, album sales and such. As popular and talented as she is a hundo would likely be a bargain for some Taylor merch.

They hit the ceiling for me. I'm not paying $9 for a 12 pack of soda.
I just heard a Safeway commercial on the radio and it said like $4.89 for a 12 pack with coupon. The pic likely appears to be from a convience store which are equivalent to pay day loan places that sell junk food.l at a premium.

Once the factory tires are gone. I always go to a higher wear rating and tread warranty tire. Partial to Nokians with the 50-60k tread warranties.
my Mustang GT had wore out tires at 15k and the ram 3500 work truck wears its shoes out at 20k. Much quicker then either of my EV’s and tire wear.
