Trump’s Team Just Accidentally Revealed “Extreme” Anti-Immigrant Plans In Photo Mishap

Republicans made information security a central theme of the election, smearing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server and for an FBI inquiry that ultimately cleared her of all wrongdoing. So when a potential Trump cabinet pick gets photographed openly holding sensitive documents, it’s appropriate to wonder where the outrage is.

Kansas Secretary of State and avowed Islamophobe Kris Kobach is being considered to lead the Department of Homeland Security, but failed to put his plans for said agency in a folder, or have a cover sheet, or anything at all to prevent the public from zooming into them:

    kobach2

    LIKE THIS:

    kobach

    kocbach3

The documents appear to contain Kobach’s heinous anti-Muslim plans, including expanding the NSEERS (National Security Entry-Exit Registration System) program and reducing the intake of refugees fleeing the mass slaughter of Syrian civilians to zero. Those are his literal first priorities.

Kobach created the NSEERS program with John Ashcroft while serving under President Bush. It registered men from 25 predominantly Muslim nations, fingerprinting and questioning them. The program was ended in 2003 and succeeded in deporting 14,000 Muslims who overstayed visas but did not produce a single terrorism arrest and was considered an abject failure by the Bush Administration.

“Even folks within the Bush administration we worked with at the time knew that it was a waste of time and a waste of resources. … It’s clearly profiling. It’s clearly singling out Arabs and Muslims. It’s a very problematic program,” said Abed Ayoub, legal director for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

“From the accounts we received at the time, it was simply a massive bureaucracy where people would go into the office, be asked some questions and nothing came of it. And in the process, it caused an incredible amount of fear and also almost certainly it inhibited the efforts to gain actionable information from communities that we need to work with to actually combat important threats” said Raj Goyle, an ACLU lawyer.

It appears that Kobach is still intent on using this program as a discriminatory tool to register and surveil Muslims as well as finding excuses to deport them. The plan itself is absolutely appalling; the way it was revealed to the public is just as disturbing. How can we trust this man to keep our country safe when he can’t even keep printed documents out of the public eye?

lol there is nothing heinous about screening and tracking immigrants or deporting those that are criminals,  SMH at the   butthurt,.  I'm not a trump fan but have some common sense.

  2. well lets see we can either repatriate the money collect some tax and then put that money to work fixing what everyone recognizes is a crumbling infrastructure or we can say fuck it let them leave their money overseas or better yet chase them completely offshore because we have some of the most punitive corp tax policies for multinationals. One of Trumps few coherent and thought through ideas IMO

I thought for sure you would have achieved that goal by now in ME.

nope which is odd considering lots of days we can have a hundy on by 10 in the morning pretty easy. usually we spend a fair amount of time riding logging roads,  last year the 1.6 track was good for that but if we get dumped on i think i'm going to be regretting not getting the 1.75 again.  hopefully being down 50 lbs from when i rode the dirty bitch will help.  going SBA 144x2 next winter i think.

Jesus Christ people.. boloney is indeed misspelled.

Boloney is the accepted spelling, with a definition of /slang/nonsense.

So yes, correct usage, typical millennial piss poor spelling.

Jesus christ people,  it's spelled exactly like it should have been given the context .  Boloney and baloney are both acceptable spelling as a slang word for nonsense which makes complete sense in the context of the sandwhich.  kind of creative to be honest,  the small pickle made me laugh.

    baloney

    or boloney

Get rid of JJ and ratings will recover.

NASCAR ruined itself,  Johnson dominating wasn't good for the sport but it was on NASCAR and the owners to find a way around that issue and instead they turned people off even more.  i haven't watched squat the last couple of years and I used to watch most and attend my local races but something just didn't click and Johnson been my guy since the beginning.

Not when you want to remove Dodd Frank....transparency is a huge factor of Dodd Frank.

horseshit,  working in an industry regulated under DF I will say the fact that the regulatory bodies refuse to give black and white answers is maddening and continues to drive up consumer costs.  Regulations were needed but like most bills passed under the current administration poorly thought out and executed but no shocker given warrens involvement in the regulatory end since she doesn't know shit about how things actually work,

For as much as we like to bitch about insdiers in this country reality is you have to have some experience inside to be bale to actually design regulations that effect the real problems,  academics never do this well.

Trump Just Attacked SNL. Alec Baldwin’s Response Is Perfect

    By Grant Stern

Kudos to Alec Baldwin for calling out the President-elect’s attempt to distract from America’s real problems, that he “alone” can fix, but is instead too busy watching late night television to do anything about.

Baldwin right but IMO Trumps playing the media like a fiddle at this point.  those who think they are above it all think he's ridiculous but he's engaged with middle america who generally hates smarmy fucks like Baldwin and most media talking heads. The crybaby reaction of the left further empowers middle america who are sick of the pussification that has occurred over the last 20+ years.

and on the bold,  America has become a worst place since the #1 concern became hurting peoples feelings and what bathrooms transgenders can use so whose this douche to say what Americas real problems are.

or is he going to take gloves off hit them quick and hard and instead of dragging the deaths over a decade makes rules of engagement that end of the day will result in less american casualties than the failed polices of bush and obama. :dunno:

Yep....look at the truck series for example...rookie William Byron won 7 races including Miami yet because he blew up at Phoenix he didn't qualify for the Final 4...dumb system.

IMO they should have done an F1 type scoring system where you got nothing for 11th or lower and get a significant win bump. That way you didn't have a champion who had won no races or maybe 1 or 2  because they never finished outside the top 20.

Eliot losing the 92 championship to Kulwicki is a great example of that,  Bill was the better driver with more wins and equal top 10's but the other races Kulwicki was better. Winning races needs to be the key to a championship not riding around all season in the top 10 or 15.

  12. While I don't like the chase Johnsons won it fair and square 7 times against competition much tougher than either Petty or Earnhardt who for the most part dominated in an era where less than a 10 cars were competitive.
